  1. We'll agree to disagree then. Gottlieb saying it was the most atrocious thing he's seen in college basketball in five years is a complete joke.
  2. Oden is going pro, why does anyone actually think he's staying? If he blows out his knee he'll lose $100 mil easily, if not more. To come back would simply be one of the dumbest moves I can think of, regardless of how much he says he loves college. On another note, I've been reading some IU forums and it seems like a lot of the older fans are pissed that the students rushed the floor after beating Wisconsin. So I'd like to say my piece on this. First off, we're talking about 18-22 year old kids, most of whom have had to watch IU play like crap for the last six years under Mike Davis. To say that we shouldn't rush the court and that we should act like we've been there before is ridiculous. Maybe the alums and the older folks have been there before, these students have not. For them, this is by far the biggest win IU has had in their time at the university. That alone to me is justification to rush the floor. They are college kids, having fun, experiencing something they will never forget. Then you factor in that Wisconsin is the #2 team in the country and had a 17 game winning streak and that just adds more incentive to rush the floor. As much as I love IU, some of the older Knight apologists just don't get it. Being in college is about having fun, it's a once in the lifetime experience. Who are these jackasses to critique what college students can and cannot do at a basketball game? I think what happened last night is perfectly acceptable given the circumstances and some of the "old guard" IU fans need to realize what the program has been through the last couple of years and people are excited to see it climb once again. In no way does rushing the floor "cheapen" the win. Also, to Doug Gottlieb, maybe the biggest f***ing tool on ESPN. This son of a b**** got kicked out of Notre Dame for stealing credit cards and was basically a nobody for Oklahoma State. He has the gall to get on ESPN last night and say that IU fans rushing the floor was the most atrocious thing he has seen in years. No Doug, the most atrocious thing I've seen is ESPN giving your worthless ass a job. Get a life, you f***ing jag.
  3. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Jan 31, 2007 -> 09:05 PM) Good game. And a definite statement for the Wisconsin program when the great and almighty Indiana rushes the floor. Had our chances at the end but Tucker and Krabbenhoft for the final 2 3's arent going to get it done. Haha, you guys had a 17 game winning streak and were ranked No. 2. You're no slouch, you were running away with the league. It's a helluva win for IU, based on where they've been the past few years. Wisconsin is a great team, I can't say that enough times, so I'm estatic to get a win like this. Anyhow, welcome back IU basketball. Kelvin Sampson putting his stamp on the program, can't say enough about him thus far. AJ Ratliff, what a game, he stepped up big time. Great defense, probably the most turnovers Wisky has had this season. Overall, just a hell of a game.
  4. HELL YEAH, AJ f***ING RATLIFF Maybe the most unselfish play of the year for IU passing on the wide open 3 to find DJ for the 3-point play then a huge 3....
  5. Guess Wisky doesn't want to get beat by the 3 because they are refusing to double down on DJ. Hey Soxbadger, are the big white guys inside usually pretty solid? Just wondering because it doesn't even seem like they are looking for their shot at all, especially the two guys off the bench and Butch as well.
  6. Solid first half for the Hoosiers, need to go into DJ more, if they aren't going to double, he will abuse Butch. Seems like Shaw may be on his way to having one of his big games against a big time opponent. Should be a really good finish.
  7. Wow, didn't realize how much of a showboater Tucker is. He looks like Deion or something out there, dancing around.
  8. Well IU has played about as bad offensively as they can so far, yet we're hanging in there. Luckily the D is playing pretty well.
  9. Lighten up, unless you go to bed at 8 or something.
  10. QUOTE(salty99 @ Jan 23, 2007 -> 07:22 PM) Here is the schedule: http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/cws/downlo...ule_soxfest.pdf Wow, they cut down on the number of autographs per player big time. Better get in line early, those who are going.
  11. QUOTE(Brian @ Jan 24, 2007 -> 09:26 AM) I was not aware that the MLB Packagae was on every outlet, cable and satellite, and is just being sold/bought to be exclusive to DirectTV. I though it was just on cable. This reaks of greed. I was pissed off before, now I'm turning green and ripping through my clothes. Someone start an online campaign!!! DirecTV had the package first, that's where it started.
  12. I do root for the Bears (I'm not a diehard or anything), but this isn't even close for me. The White Sox winning the series in 2005 was just unbelievable and I'll be shocked if a sports moment ever tops that in my life unless they win a few more.
  13. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Jan 23, 2007 -> 10:40 PM) The worst part about tonights loss is just how much I hyped them up to my dad. He watched the Butler game, the Duke game, the Kentucky game, the Ohio St game.. I kept telling him to stick with this team and that we've been mixing and matching, hitting our shots, and just playing all around grade A basketball. He finally tunes in on Saturday and liked what he saw for the most part but blamed part of it on UConn being a "bad team." So I finally tell him to tune in tonight and that we had a chip on our shoulder. Ugh. One game doesn't make a season. I'd hate to be Michigan on Saturday. It could be ugly.
  14. Doesn't really effect me, I have DirecTV. Also I believe my rate is locked in at $159 as long as I continue to subscribe.
  15. Given the circumstances, I thought the exchanges were fine by both men. I don't really see where there should be anymore controversy about this. We've all said our piece on it, there's nothing left to say. I don't feel Weber really did anything wrong tonight at all, at least he shook his hand and acted somewhat cordial. What do you expect him to do, stand there and have a 5 minute conversation? Usually I have a tendency to not let things go, but on this one, I am taking the high road, congratulations to Illinois and their fans, you guys wanted it more and deserved to win. The fanbases have gone through enough verbal banter, so there's no reason to start anything else.
  16. ILL up 8 with a chance to go up 9. Game ova. Solid W for ILL, they played like they wanted it more and deserved to win the game. IU, on the other hand, played terrible. They didn't seem like they were ready to play tonight at all. Anyhow, glad this game is over and the distraction of Weber vs. Sampson and the hostile environment is done for this season. Time to regroup and get ready for Michigan on Saturday. Congrats to the ILL fans here on the board, glad to see another team play some good solid D. I think this is the first game where we really lived by the 3. We weren't hitting, so we died. Just a pathetic offensive effort.
  17. ILL is playing good D, best I've seen against IU this year. Wilmont has been a non-factor and Bassett is forcing shots. They (Illinois) are playing like a team hungry for a win.
  18. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 22, 2007 -> 10:29 PM) The entire event. They decided to let about a billion people in there(the line to simply enter weaved through three floors and ended outside the building), and it just was not any fun compared to previous years. I really don't get it either, since they always claim their sold out, so why was the crowd so huge last year compared to previous years? The hotel overbooked and oversold the event, it had nothing to do with the Sox selling extra tickets.
  19. Went the past three years, but due to the fact that they raised the prices, not going this year.
  20. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 21, 2007 -> 11:19 PM) That guy is f***ing scum. I will never ever ever root for that piece of s***. The smug asshole deserves the asswhooping the Bears gave him. Freaking pansy. Learn to play with class. Oh and if anyone is wondering, I said s*** about Hester when he did that stupid finger point during one of his returns earlier in the season. So Reggie...PISS OFF YOU PRICK. I hope the NCAA finds a way to take away your heisman. Jason f***ing Gage showing some emotion. I love it.
  21. HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!! That's for you Nuke.
  22. All I can say is that Buehrle throws first pitch strikes and teams look for it. In the second half of last year, he got destroyed on the first pitch. If he's going to continue to keep pounding the zone the first pitch, he's gotta mix it up and hit a lot of different spots. If not, I fear he's still going to have problems.
