Rauch shouldn't even be considered a prospect anymore in my opinion. He's been passed by Honel, Wing, Cotts and arguably several others. The Sox don't seem to want to give him a shot at the big league level. The other guys (Diaz and Pachecho) I am higher on, but I don't think they'll be all that great either. I think when you look at the Sox rotation this year, you've gotta look at 5 of these 6 six (Buehrle, Loaiza, Garland, Wright, Cotts, Schoenweis) and I've gotta believe that unless a major injury occurs, no one else besides these names will start a game. After that, I expect Honel and Wing to step to the forefront of the next generation of young Sox pitchers competing to make the big league club, easily surpassing Diaz and Pachecho, who in my opinion will never be large contributers at the big league level.

Exactly why I stopped listening, they aren't even really talking about the game, they're talking about a bunch of stuff that they have no knowledge about and are trying to compensate on their lack of knowledge on the Sox and Giants by talking about boring things.

I think this depends on what they want for him, if it's a low tier prospect, it's worth a shot if the Sox think they may need another starter later in this season and believe Grilli can be that guy or even be productive out of the bullpen. But I agree, we don't want to give up much, if anything for him.

Don't know if this was posted or not, from rotoworld: Rule 5 pick Jason Grilli has cleared waivers, and the White Sox are trying to work out a trade with the Marlins to allow them to keep him. Grilli will be returned to Florida if a deal doesn't get done. His elimination from the compeition for jobs, leaves Mike Jackson, Jon Adkins and Neal Cotts battling for one or two spots. The White Sox haven't made a decision whether to carry 11 or 12 pitchers.

This is for Rex or anyone who knows. I am looking for official word on where two players are going to start the season and they are B.J. Upton, SS from the Devil Rays and Zack Greinke, SP for the Royals. If anyone could let me know, please advise as I have both of these guys on my minor league roster for my fantasy league and I want to be able to follow their progress this year rather closely.

Let's hope he does, but at the same time, we need to be able to afford to resign him.

Has Mark settled in after the Mohr homer?
-
Im done listening to this, I cant listen to these morons any longer, they don't know s*** about either of these teams.

Ground out to Willie ends the inning, 2-0 Giants going to the top of the 3rd
-
Neifi Perez doubles to left...
-
Dustan Mohr 2 run HR off Mark, 2-0 Giants bottom 2nd...
-
AJ Pierzynski flies out to left.
-
Announcers are commenting about how fast Mark works and how it hurts the hitter's rhythm... Mark walks Alfonzo...1 out, runner on first.
-
Buehrle to Bonds: - Strike One - Flies out to Mags in right.
-
It's 0-0 going to the bottom of the 2nd.
-
I'm listening to it and these announcers suck. Too bad Roons and Farmio arent at the game.

Jas - When Charlotte comes to town in May, I could possibly talk to Borchard about doing a chat. It's at least worth a shot, as I think he'd do it if he's still with Charlotte. He seems like the kind of guy that would be open to something like that from the times I've talked to him.

Colon has been terrible this spring, he wasn't worth keeping for four seasons. No way he's a great pitcher for four more seasons, I think it will be a blessing in disguise that we didn't keep him, especially next season when I expect Cotts to be ready for the show and possibly Honel, who has done nothing but absolutely tear through the minor leagues thus far. Also gotta throw Ryan Wing and his future into the mix and with Buehrle, Garland and those names, I think our pitching in the future is going to be good if not great.

Steff - I think the first time I'll be up this yr will be the Minnesota series in mid-May, so hopefully something can be organized at that time as I'd like to meet with you and whoever else from Soxtalk will be around before the game.

Miles and Clayton, the best defensive combo in the bigs....
-
I am predicting a solid yr for Jose, with around a .260 avg, 25 hr and 80 RBI.

Although totally unrelated to the topic, Cotts was terrible about signing out in AZ, which kinda surprised me considering he is an unproven commodity with virtually no MLB experience. It was even more disheartening to a Sox fan like myself who was trying to collect the entire team on a jersey when I am able to get virtually everyone (including Frank and Paulie) but not Neal F'n Cotts. Although this has nothing to do with his ability and he may be a great person, I thought it was kinda s***ty that you have a future HOFer signing for the masses (including adults) and Neal Cotts giving fans saying his name the silent treatment. Now that I'm off my soapbox, good luck this year Neal.

Sounds good, although I won't be able to make it. Make sure someone posts a transcript for everyone to read.

Throw him in the pen and give Cotts his spot.

It's now 3-0 Mil in the top of the 3rd.
