  1. Steff, what is that in your sig above the T in Steff?
  2. Anyone think the fact that ESPN may be getting ready to cancel Around the Horn due to the fact that Kellerman is no longer going to be with the show has anything to do with Mariotti venturing out into the radio world? Me thinks so.
  3. I have also just read elsewhere that Max wanted 850K/yr from ESPN and they declined to give him that figure, so he will no longer be a part of Around the Horn. The report also stated that once they find alternate programming, the show will be cancelled.
  4. Good point, but then again, with this news its just going to make fans complain more about the lack of a 4th and 5th starter this club has...
  5. MAX'D OUT? (courtesy of Maxboxing.com) You won't be seeing Max Kellerman on ESPN2's Friday Night Fights' as Kellerman's contract has run out and ESPN's exclusive window to negotiate with Kellerman has expired. Kellerman has also been sitting out his daily show 'Around the Horn'. You just wonder if this has anything to do with ESPN's seeming desire to get rid of boxing, if not downsize it to a point where nobody cares about it anymore. Say what you will about 'Mad Max' but Friday Night Fights just won't be the same without him.
  6. Why is that the top story on the site? Who gives a sh*t about Robert Person....I know I don't.
  7. http://espn.go.com/eoe/around_the_horn.html He's still listed here, let's hope ESPN reconsiders if this is indeed true.
  8. WTF, say it's not true! :fyou ESPN
  9. Interesting, but one more week of StatBoy and I'll be done watching... Bring back Kellerman!
  10. Has anyone noticed that dumbass Stat Boy has been hosting the past 9 shows? Where the hell is Max? ESPN will ruin this show if Stat Boy is the permanent replacement for Kellerman...
  11. That's a good one, maybe I am just partial to Mariotti because I like sports writers who rip all of the time rather than praise. He is a columnist, not a reporter, so he can write whatever he wants regardless of whether or not he constantly contradicts himself. And someone must be reading and listening to him, otherwise he wouldn't have a job.
  12. I am going to actually side with WMVP on this one. Now I know all of you people hate Mariotti, but I don't at all. I am sure he's an asshole and an arrogant SOB, but he also entertains me. I find it rather humorous that JR is getting all pissy over this, but Mariotti is also telling it how it is on a lot of fronts. Maybe if JR actually did something to improve this franchise, Jay wouldn't be constantly ripping them. Instead, JR is going to b**** and complain and make a big deal about this. Here's a hint JR: Do something instead of complaining when someone calls you out for what you really are: A Lame Worthless Excuse for an owner.
  13. Exactly, Nick Johnson is good. He got overlooked big time b/c of injuries and the Yankees had a ton of other great players, but this guy has a great OBP, he doesnt strike out much and he has a solid glove at 1B. I'll never forget the final series of the year last year at home versus the Yankees when he took Mark deep in the first inning to left field. This guy is going to be a solid player for many years to come. He'll thrive with the Expos IMO.
  14. In all seriousness, it'll still be a good competition: Cotts, Rauch, Grilli, Wright, Pachecho, maybe even Adkins.
  15. If you read the question I asked Mark at Soxfest about the difference between the first and second halves in last season (which 2k4, steff and others witnessed) you would know why he struggled in the first half and rebounded in the second half.
  16. I could say something about that pose, but I won't....

I've gotten them all to work, but you need the Quicktime Player, otherwise you won't be able to watch the previews.
  18. Yea, if you look at it, I think their 2 best pitchers (Anderson and May) would be #3 at best (if not 4th) on our staff. If the Sox come to play everyday this year and beat the teams they are supposed to beat (easier said than done as we know from last year) good things can happen.
  19. Kurkjan is actually a pretty good writer and knows his stuff, like him or not. We all know that we aren't dealing Frank for Odalis though, then again that possibility wasn't even mentioned in this article. The line about Odalis was just a caption underneath Odalis's picture.
  20. Now they will give her a multi-yr deal but won't give one to Maggs, where are their priorities?

I'm sure you'll be able to create players as well (Honel, Reed, Sweeney, Anderson, Valido, etc)
