  2. You mean there's such thing as a bulls*** rumor?
  3. looks good man, only thing I would change on it would be the lettering of Aboz56, but it's fine. if you want to change it you are welcome to, but I can live with it like that. awesome job, you are da man...
  4. Unless he gets us to the playoffs and helps Cotts and Honel, then I really wouldn't want him here. We'd never sign a Bor-ass client anyhow. I am surprised we even have Crede.
  5. sox4life, i thought you were leaving??? I guess we can't all have everything we want...
  6. I agree Rex. Hell I live 5 hrs from Chicago and I still plan on going to games whenever I can because I love White Sox baseball. If I lived in the area, I'd definitely have season tickets. All of the ownership bulls*** aside, I'll support the team regardless. The best part to me is going to the park, enjoying the game and spending time with my Dad. Whether the Sox are in first or last, I can still do all of those things. Not that it doesn't matter to me if they win or lose, but I am still going to have fun going out to the ballpark and supporting the team. At first I was negative about this upcoming season, but now it seems like I am one of those ones who is tired of hearing the negative from everybody else. Go Sox...
  7. You may be able to get away with calling Mags better than Sammy, but not Vlads. To me, he is the 2nd best player in baseball besides A Rod, with Pujols in 3rd.
  8. I think their outfits could have been done better and changed according to the time period the songs were from. They did sound good with their harmonies though.
  9. Shouldn't be too hard at all, there's certainly plenty of info about her available. How long does it have to be?
  10. Hell, making the playoffs would be fine with me. Then once we get there, you never know what could happen.
  11. What did everyone think of Twist and Shout at Soxfest? I thought they were okay, but I wasn't overly impressed.
  12. I am planning on going to 10-15 Sox games this year, so hopefully they'll have some kind of Soxtalk tailgating at one of the games I go to.
  13. I go a lot of Pacers games, in fact I've been this season to see King James. 2k4, have you ever been to the AAA park here in Louisville, you should think about coming down this summer and see the Knights for a few games as they'll most likely have Jo Bo, Reed, Cotts and some other good prospects. Park is really nice and there's also the Louisville Slugger Museum downtown.
  14. That's what I was thinking. I heard last yr it was in Salt Lake City, which woulda been a helluva lot better than Indy, which is just 2 hrs north of here. Thanks for your kind words.
  15. I've got in microsoft word, just shoot me your email addy and I'll send it out.
  16. It's over 30 pages, but I am sure I could get ya a copy with no problem....
  17. I have received word today that my senior thesis that I completed in the fall has been accepted for presentation at the National Conference for Undergraduate Research in Indianapolis. As if presenting the paper for the entire political science faculty here at school wasn't enough, now I'm going to be presenting my work to professors from all over the country and have them discuss and critique it. Here's the abstract of my work (if anyone wants a copy to read, let me know.) ASSESSING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE 1996 WELFARE REFORMS Paul A. Bozich (Linda C. Gugin), Department of Social Sciences, Indiana University Southeast, New Albany IN 47150 The Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 marked a major change in the philosophy of welfare in the United States that had been in place since the New Deal. The aim of this study was to assess the effectiveness of welfare reform by examining caseload reductions at the state level. A major portion of the study focused on six states, Indiana, Kentucky, California, New York, Florida and Wyoming, in order to determine if the characteristics of the programs adopted by each state were related to reduction in the state’s welfare caseloads. In-depth studies of program characteristics, which included the application process, categorical eligibility and financial eligibility, showed that the states that adopted two program characteristics – formal diversion and an employability plan – were more successful in reducing welfare case loads than the states that did not adopt these measures. The paper also incorporates information and statistics on what has happened to families since leaving welfare. These data suggest that while welfare caseloads have decreased significantly it is premature to fully assess the long-term implications of the 1996 welfare reforms.

  19. No way I'd even want Maddux. He got lit up a ton last year and I don't think he'll do that well this year. KW was asked if the Sox were interested at Soxfest and he gave the best answer, NO. Call me crazy, but I have no interest in Maddux and I bet I'm not the only one.
  20. Anderson won't be ready until 2005 at least, most likely late 2006. The other guys you mentioned - Nanita, Sweeney, Young are nowhere close to the majors. And who knows on Borchard, he may never make it. I'll go ahead and offer my stance on Ordonez. While he is a large attraction for the Sox, Frank Thomas is still and will always be the most recognizable figure on the White Sox (and I don't even care for Frank). Sorry to burst Magglio's bubble, but he's not in the same class as Vladimir Guerrero. When Vlady is totally healthy, he's head and shoulders above Mags and younger. He's got a better arm, a better bat and better wheels. And Tejada plays one of the most important positions in baseball and is probably the 2nd best at that position in baseball. With that said, I suppose we will see where Mags really stands on all of this. Is he willing to take slightly less money to remain with the Sox, in the city he claims he loves? Or will he take the best monetary offer on the market and be able to relax? While I would like to retain him, I am not willing to compromise staying competitive under the current payroll structure just to keep him. With our rotation in a few yrs (Buehrle, Loaiza, Garland, Honel, Cotts, etc.) I think we will be better suited to build with pitching and not overpay for a guy who I feel will have a decline in production in 2 or 3 seasons.
  21. Hey your sig may be irrelevant when Willie is optioned to AAA in early May...Wait maybe I shouldn't have put that in green... Just kidding. Awesome job Cheat.
