Unless it's signed by Jas, I'm not buying one.

How many times are you going to plug these shirts?

who ever said coop was great?

Remember the Braves and from Worst to First back in the early 90's? Well I Rod is going to realize a new feat this year: From First to Worst Bean him the first time we face them.
-
He was ranked ahead of Sosa in fantasy last yr as well...
-
I wouldn't go long term with him unless they can lock him up for a while at a reasonable rate. Otherwise, ride it out and then ship him out during his 6th yr of service if you feel you won't be able to resign him.

Since I know this has been talked about a lot on here, here's the latest:
-
Well said Rex and I agree with you on all points. Great post with good analysis.

Took the Mark B jersey to be framed today and let's just say, well, it cost me an arm and a leg. My mom made the comment on the way home that he better be a perennial all-star or hall of famer someday with what I paid to have it done. Nonetheless, I'll have pictures of the finished product when I get it back in about two weeks for your viewing pleasure.
-
Well said and I couldn't agree more. Don't judge someone on their first 4 MLB starts, give him some time to further develop and he will be fine.

Our future #3 starter:
-
And he also got thrown into a bad situation. Our dumbass manager chose to pitch him in an important game in Yankee Stadium when Buehrle asked him to pitch that day instead of Cotts. And if we had managment that didn't have its thumb up its ass, they would have gone out and got a Jeff Suppan or someone of that nature to fill the 5th starter spot rather than throwing Cotts in there during the heat of the pennant race. The guy came from AA and had 4 starts and you are calling him a bust. Get ready to eat crow in the next yr or two.
-
Here's why people are high on Cotts, from BA: Strengths: Cotts has averaged 11.2 strikeouts per nine innings in the minors despite a fastball that tops out at 91 mph. His motion makes his fastball look harder. His changeup is his best pitch, and his curveball improved last year. He does a good job changing speeds and using his secondary pitches.

who should be the 5th man in the rotation

The only way in which he reminded me of Mark Buehrle is that he was left-handed and so is Buehrle. If he is the 5th starter, this season will go to hell fast. -
By the way, it's Neal Cotts, not Neil. Biggio202
-
That'd be fair I suppose, but chances are he is going to want (and thinks he deserves) more than that.
-
Ah, if it was just mentioned tonight on SportsCenter, it's worth a posting. All I was saying is I wonder if they are just quoting the MLB article from a few days back or if they have a new source?
-
Wonder if they are just finally getting wind of the MLB article a few days back in order to try to report baseball "news."

Grilli has a great shot if he's healty, but that's a huge IF. Guy definitely has the arm or he wouldn't have been such a high draft pick back in the day. Guess the Sox are hoping that he comes to spring training healthy and that's why they put the 50K out there to grab him. Grilli's numbers from last season: At Albuquerque (AAA) - 6-2, 3.38 ERA, 12 starts, 66.2 innings, 64 hits allowed, 3 hr allowed, 38 K, 30 BB At Jupiter (A) - 4-2, 2.53 ERA, 7 starts, 42.2 innings, 38 hits allowed, 1 hr allowed, 30 K, 6 BB -

If he had a bad year, he'd probably take less money from the Sox. But he's not going to have a bad year so you can forget about that.
