  1. And this is coming from the guy who wanted to make nice with Steff...give me a break and put all of this to rest. I don't know what your beef with Steff is, but she is one of the nicest Sox fans I've met and there's no reason to say a bad word about her...
  2. I only wanted the one to follow, but there was never anytime to shake her friends and I couldn't be rude to my friend either. I'm sure you'll see me with the one this summer at some Sox games. In fact, you can bet on it.
  3. Wish we could have talked longer, but in case you didn't notice, I had a few stragglers following me around for quite sometime...We'll leave it at that.
  4. Rick Hahn has already said that he expects Sweeney and Anderson to break at Kannapolis. Maybe BA should have gotten some info on what he said at Soxfest. I think the worst person to leave off the list was Valido. He's our only true SS prospect, appears to have great tools from all accounts I've read and should have been included in the list.
  5. What pitching is going to kill us, as far as I'm concerned we have by far the best 1-3 starters in the AL Central. It's not even close. And in terms of 4 and 5, we've got as good as anyone else has in the AL Central. I mean who does KC even have for starters? Anderson, May, Affeldt, Appier, Asensio. I'm not even sure if any of them would be in our top 4, except for maybe May or Anderson. And Minny's starters? Radke, Santana, Lohse, Mays and ???? Mays got absolutely smashed last yr as did Lohse after he went around the league a few times. These teams have HUGE pitching holes compared to us if you ask me (in regards to starters).
  6. Thanks a lot, I just found some pretty good deals on Priceline with airfare and that hotel included.
  7. For anyone that knows, what hotel is closest to Tucson Electric Park?
  8. 84-78 and right in the thick of the race.
  9. The sickest moment for me was the Crede homer that was 20 feet fair being called foul by that moron of an umpire in Baltimore...
  10. I'm going to say Buehrle wins 20, Loaiza 15, Garland 15, Show 10 and from the 5th starter spot, Neal Cotts will win 8-10 games.
  11. Now now now, take it easy on Esty, he was great with the fans all weekend and deserves a free pass for that outfit...Now, strike up the band for Esty's outfit.
  12. I think Harris deserves the chance. But if he stinks it up for a month and half, that's enough for me to explore a trade for a 2B or get Uribe in there if I'm KW... By the way, KW hardly mentioned Uribe at all this weekend. I guess he's pretty much pegged in for a bench/utility role at this point. It'll be interesting to see what they do if Uribe plays a lot better than Harris out in Tucson. One thing I got a kick out of is KW talking about Harris was a big time prospect when he came over from the Orioles when he was asked that question by Steff. If my memory serves me correct, we acquired him for Singleton and I don't remember Harris being hailed as anything special when we acquired him. I don't know if anyone else noticed that, but KW did indeed say that Harris was a TOP prospect when we got him.
  13. I just wish we would impose a code of silence on Frank until Spring Training. When he wants to talk, we can start to talk about him. Until then, there's nothing to talk about. Let the man live his life and get ready for the season. See you in the spring Franky.
  14. I am just saying that as a casual observer it is not a good impression to me (or other fans) to see Willie Harris, a virtually unproven young player standing in the hotel smoking cigarettes at Soxfest while kids are walking around getting autographs and being awestruck by the players. Add to the fact that for an professional athlete it's awful for your health and I just didn't like what I saw. And to answer your other question, I could care less whether you smoke or not. You're not our opening day second baseman.
  15. This was already posted several days ago, but thanks again...
  16. I lost a lot of respect for Willie this weekend after I saw him every night standing in the 2nd floor area of the Hyatt smoking cigarettes. Just what I love to see out of our 2nd baseman. I told Steff after she asked about Willie in the Q & A that he'll be optioned to AAA by May 1st and I'm sticking to it.
  17. what about the Twins series in the dome where we got swept, where was frank then?
  18. I dont know, maybe the same shirt just in different colors. I'll post more soon, but that's all for tonight.
  19. Dispite what everyone else thinks, I think the Twins are the favorites in the division until someone proves they can beat them consistently. During that particular session, Jose said something like we don't have problems against the Twins which made me think, what the hell are you talking about there Manos? Sure they've lost a lot of guys (Milton, Pierzynski, Mohr, Guardado, Hawkins) but then again, Milton didn't contribute much at all last year. If Mauer is as good as they say he is, he can do a fine job in place of Pierzynski, Mohr can be replaced by one of their younger guys like Cuddyer or Morneau as well. To me, if their bullpen performs, they are the team to beat in the division. I'm not sold on KC or Minny's starters at all, in fact I think the Sox have the best starters in the division.
  20. No idea why Hawk said that about Radinsky. I was just listening, maybe he got his names mixed up or something.
