Kind of funny how in a show like that, the people voted one way, but since then the opposite happened. Maybe there is something to be said for quality. I never thought Reuben should have won that show, as Clay was the better voice all along. But then in the end, after Reuben won, we see Clay having pretty big success, and Reuben has more or less vanished. Heck, I know people who never watched the show and hate Pop who actually ended up with Clay's Christmas album, and they actually love the dang thing. Hey Maude, where did the dancing Stewie go???

Mom had to gun due to a rash of burglaries in the area, or so it said in the article.

So many things can be said about this. But instead: Hopefully the little guy makes it through.

It reminds me of the Homer Simpson toy here in my office. It has a dying battery and just keeps saying over and over again "What's an Elt Down???".

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 14, 2005 -> 01:47 PM) Smart on his part. s*** like that will finally sink that show. No it won't. I would lay money on it most people would be more than happy to sign an AI exclusive contract if it means millions of dollars and the fame that has fallen in line for the Kelly Clarkson's of the world. What will sink the show will be people getting tired of seeing the same people winning it, but so far there has been a bit of variety, and this years favorite according to Simon is this guy Bo. Bo should be singing for a Southern Rock band, and he has the voice to go REAL far, especially if the year was 1974. But as is, he is the only reason I am completely wrapped up in the show this year. I would stick this guy fronting my band in a second, as he really is a great vocalist and pure Rock. There is another guy on the show named Constatine, who is being billed as the "other Rocker", gads how I hate that word, but that guy just shows how much better Bo is. Bo is as real as you get in the RnR world.

All the stuff has been calling him the "favorite to win", but I have been thinking he would be gone in the next few weeks. Anybody who has watched the show so far knows he is good, but not the best there. The winner will be one of the guys this year though. I'm a little ashamed that I know the show as well as I do. If the guy wanted to avoid an exclusive contract, he may have wanted to stick around a little longer to show what he was capable of. Unless once you get into the top 12 you have to sign contracts to saying you are in it until the end or voted off. Maybe by his bailing now he avoids those contracts. But if not, this is the stage of the whole thing where the people get the real BIG exposure.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 14, 2005 -> 12:00 PM) Nope that's my blog. There were some people (Tex included) who knew what was going on before everyone else did, because there were some nervous times before we got the ultrasound results. We didn't want to tell too many people before we knew everything was OK. Well then, a more personal "CONGRATS" then!!! Glad to know things turned out O.K. so that you could share the info with us!!! Kids rule man, and they make life a whole lot better than it was before they wandered along!
-
I'm guessing that is Tex's Blog??? Very cool news there! Congrats! Nope, SS is Mike, right? Heck, I knew that. Whoever the heck of you is having a kid! CONGRATS!!! LOL!!!

I know it is "Street" and all that stupid crap, but how can anybody argue that his name is pronounced "Fiddy" or whatever when he uses the NUMBER??? I would go along with him correcting myself and my posse if he wasn't using a NUMBER. But by his ways, I should be paying "Fiddy" cents for stuff and anytime I come upon the number I need to start pronouncing it "fiddy". I mean, I guess 50 is actually pronounced "fiddy" in everything. 100 is now pronounced "hundo", 2 is now pronounced "toowah", and I'll let you all know the new pronunciation for every other number as soon as I get my street cred and posse hooked up.
-
You call it a "gift" and have it tracked as one, as mentioned above. That's how we did our house.
-
Can somebody explain how it is that he calls himself "Fidy", and tells us that is what his name is supposed to be? If you use the NUMBER "50" as your name, then isn't it "Fifty" that becomes your name? Seriously? People tell me time and time again it is pronounced "Fidy" or whatever. But how can that be if it is plainly "50"??? Also, from the examples above, is the bottom set of lyrics Tupac? So, Tupac was from the time when Rappers actually spoke English?

QUOTE(The Critic @ Mar 12, 2005 -> 08:58 PM) Yeah, he watched it religiously and he kept trying to convince me to watch it too, but I just have never had any interest whatsoever in sci-fi at all. ***note to self: send out LOTS of Sci-Fi soundtracks in pakage for Critic...***

So your brother stayed up for the good Doctor I should hope. I just added some Dr. Who into my Netflix. I love that show, great stuff.

QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Mar 12, 2005 -> 08:43 PM) Sunday nights were my favorite TV night for a good while because of that line up! Those were special times, weren't they? I was always wiped out going to school the next morning though! LOL! But it was always sooooo worth it. It didn't help that the good Doctor was a looooooooonnnnnnnggggggg show, and sometimes they would run a couple episodes together.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Mar 12, 2005 -> 08:10 PM) s***, that is bad news. I was a big fan of Dave Allen At Large. Used to watch him on Channel 11, Sunday nights if I remember correctly. RIP Dave. Sunday nights, 10:30. Just after Monty Python and just before Dr. Who. That line-up was the only great thing on TV on Sundays, and it was what I looked forward to most next to Creature Features and Son Of Svenghoolie.

Just when I think this is one of the most intelligent boards out there. :headshake

Isn't this a case of "HEY!!! We caught him!", and then they shoot him dead right there? Or don't even announce you got him, you just shoot the scum dead? I mean, should there even be a trial? It's not like there is a question of innocence in this case, and he was on trial to begin with for rape. So, this guy is obviously of no positive use for the world other than fertilizer. Don't even let him get before another judge.

I'm hoping to hear of a coffin race on the way to the cemetery! LOL!!!

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2-1521135,00.html Somebody else here is sure to be a fan of his. I love the guy, and this is just very sad news to me.

I find little humor in Rap being so popular.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 11:48 AM) I'm talking about the ones that have like someone's name is cursive. They just look like a brand, like someone held you down in the prison yard and forced it onto your neck. Yes, white trash. 100%
-
What constitutes a neck tattoo? I have a buddy who is COVERED in tats, and all of his are really cool looking, except for the Cub logo on his arm. Are we talking when you have very few tats, but one on the neck? Or those silly tribal ones on the back of the neck? Heck, I'm actually not much of a tat fan.

They were after me also. I got a call back in 2000 from Binny Boy Laden. He asked me if I knew where Russell was. If I didn't tell them, they would come after me, or so he said. So, I lied. I knew Russell wouldn't rat me out, so I told them he was filming Ace Ventura 3: When Terrorists Call. I fully expected Binny to get the little pun, but I don't think they have "puns" in Saudi Arabia, so he just said "thanks" and hung up.

So? He just shows he cares.
