Sox's can afford 3 mil for this guy. (replaces Colon next season) Jason Kendall, they pay 100% this season, then: 2004: $8.0M (they pay 4 mil), 2005: $10.0M (they pay 4 il), 2006: $11.0M (they pay 4mil), 2007: $13.0M (they pay 6 mil) Brian Giles, he's do 28.8 mil through '04-'06. Sox's take on all his salary.

I think the Pirates would ask for Borchard and Rauch (just to start), they would only be willing to trade if the Sox's would take on all of Kendall 's salary (or at least most of it, 70-80%). Plus they would want at least one more pitching prospect and an infield prospect (Harris). Aarond Rowand would probably be involved also.

No way the Pirates make that deal. Rauch, Harris, Bullpen pitching prospect (maybe Dan Wright), and a top 5 prospect. For Kendall and Giles, I'd make that deal. EDIT: I'm assuming they won't want Carlos.

That's only if we offer arbitration to all our FA. Which would mean if player's like Robbie and Carl would accpet they would still get around 6-7 mil.

Hunter is overrated, offensively he's no better then Carlos Lee and that's not worth 32.0M over 4 years (03'-06') He makes over 10 mil in '05 and 06'.

Tori Hunter would be blow me away. Hunter makes 7 mil per season for 3 more years, no thanks.

Well tomorrow you gotta get as many lefits into the lineup as possible. This season lefties are hitting .267 vs. Loshe, while right's only .222. Also Loshe is coming off 3 bad starts (two of them vs. MIL), so don't expect him to be good tomorrow.

I'll say DH, Wille has been playing well expect for him to be in the lineup.

I've been at two out of the last five and i've never had as much fun as in those last two games.

Everett can play CF, i say out of 7 games iplay him 4 in center, 2 in LF, and 1 as a DH. When he's in LF, play CLee at DH.

Just think what can happen if PK get's on a roll. That would be one scary lineup

This move was about sending a message as much as getting a good player.

Everett has proven in the past to be a good hitter, let's give him a chance before you go crazy on him.
