I mean...no, but I'm not putting 1.8 billion dollars into anything. -

So is everyone outside of JR, including her, supposed to be selling? -

They’d be winning if Ishbia took control already. -

I wouldn’t want to own more of a team without having actual control. -

I would say there is ample excitement, it's just that the details are murky but it seems great overall. Just don't know when they would exactly take control. -

I’m fine with that as long as he gives up control. Guess we will find out next offseason who is controlling the finances overall. -

Wow what an unexpected thing to wake up to. -
Well this thread is getting super fucking weird.

You think the common Sox fan who randomly checks in and will go to a few games a year when they are good (the ones they need to win back) knows about any of this? Cmon.
-
The vast majority of Sox fans they need to win back have no idea this story even exists.
-
Colas liked some of her Instagram posts and maybe (?) commented on them. Not sure how that means he "dragged him into it" though.
-
This has to be that minority owner flexing what little muscle he has. It’s the only thing that sort of makes sense.

Not signing pitchers to long terms deal isn't a huge deal for me, as I think you should ride them in their early years and then let them leave. You just constantly need guys to take their place when the time comes. I'm more interested in making any positional guys who become very good stick around. First we have to make a few of them become very good.

Buona is far superior now.

It seemed liked those three developed fine. They were all good in the minors and came up "as advertised." They just couldn't stay on the field and then seemed to get lazy (allegedly).
-
They for sure aren't resigning him if they are so scared of deferred money, which is being reported. They just won't beat other offers.
-
Turner played 3rd only 13 times in the last two years, though.
-
I don't know if coming to Chicago will help him not be thick, though. Food is too good.
-
I love that Cubs reporters always report how the person wants to play for the Cubs. So insecure about it all. Also, sure he is a highly accomplished hitter, a lot of guys are accomplished hitters who can no longer do that at 40.
-
I know you just want to paint this as worse as possible for the trade of...Gregory Santos, but a young guy a few years off at best getting TJ is not that big of a deal. It's just how the league is now with young pitchers.

Dude you said "actual journalists" haven't said anything about it. How else was that supposed to be taken?

McDaniel/ESPN rank Sox system #2 behind LAD

I saw someone say they put a FV of 45 on him for now, and he was in the next 15 after the 100. -
Seems like a good guy to take a chance on. Hopefully they can get him right.
-
Wait, do you not believe what is happening because only Fegan wrote about it? The guy who is probably the best sports journalist in town? And to say he isn't an "actual journalist" is pretty insulting to the guy.
