1 hour ago1 hr Probably the toughest game in the series, with Davis Martin scheduled for tomorrow.White Sox winners of 8 of last 11 at home, and three in a row....including 7 consecutive over the Twins.Part of that was a four game sweep at Minnesota after the trade deadline.51-23 RS RA during that seven game stretch.Minnesota the betting favorite today due to Joe Ryan.Sox 23rd in attendance, ahead of CLE MIN KC PIT, etc.On pace for 1.65-1.80 million depending on how the rest of the season goes in terms of the playoff and WC races.https://www.espn.com/mlb/attendanceCubs down to 11th here. That means the White Sox sold an average of 17,848 tickets per home game last year. They're currently at over 20k fans per game already in 2026.1,445,750 tickets sold was an increase of 65,000 from the attendance in 2024 (1,380,733) when the Sox set the record from the most losses in a single season. Middle inningThey're going to have to look at Minnesota's starting lineup and decide...Buxton is the key out obviously.Sandlin expected to go 2-3 innings and perhaps longer if he can limit his pitch count per inning.https://www.espn.com/mlb/player/batvspitch/_/id/4867679/sean-burkeBuxton has already homered off Burke and Bell 2/2. Very limited exposure overall.Probably go with Sandlin to start and bring in Burke if he gets in trouble. That said, starting a game puts more pressure on Sandlin, but won't be a big crowd like Monday afternoon.Think Venable would prefer to bring Sandlin in like Taylor almost as a high leverage reliever in the middle innings.
