  1. After a couple good 0-2 takes, I would have appreciated a two out single from Pantera there. The offense, as bad as it is, isn't as bad as I thought. It's not only NOT the worst ever, it isn't even the worst in MLB. As of today: 25/30 in runs scored per game (3.52). By comparison, the Guardians are 23rd in runs scored per game (3.81) and they have an 18-13 record. Before the game, I was going to post about the team overall so far, but I didn't get the research done in time.
  2. I love the 1950-60s flying Sox logo. I'm not a Bulls fan, so I don't really dig the red pajamas, but I won't hold it against anybody. I love the previous black "Southside" City Connect uni.
  3. Ugh. Getz sounds like he's making it up as he goes along.
  4. Cannon's performance here is not reflected in any stat that I know of. He just saved the offense, defense, bullpen and himself pressure going forward. Not to mention some possible confidence boost. That was exemplary.
  5. I agree the poor situational hitting is maddening, and I hate to see the team beat themselves by failing the fundamentals. Repeatedly. This game was still winnable late though.
  6. Vaughn drove in Robert to tie the game. Granted, Pantera's GIDP hurt, and late hits would have been nice. But Cam Booser killed this game. Bullpen holds, Sox win this game 4-3.
  7. With this team we have to be grateful when they execute the fundamentals. "I make a good short throw home to the catcher so he can tag the runner who is out by a mile." That's what ya s'posed to do! - Chris Rock.
  8. That's it. Take what they give ya, hit 'em where they ain't.
  9. Glad to see good fundamental BB executed on the DP, and for Gilbert to fight back. Who are these guys at the plate today? I like!
  10. Quero was between Davis and the plate. He didn't take two steps back to cover. Anyway, we don't need to argue. You are absolutely right about the hitting. They squandered easy opportunities galore tonight. The problem is, when the hitting is so anemic, it makes executing the fundamentals so much more necessary.
  11. I hearted it. We should call him Vasil-ate. That is, if he ever pitches well.
  12. Sox had their chances but couldn't even hit a sac fly. Heaven forbid they get a single. Frustrating. But half the team's hitting under .200, the rest not much more, with a couple exceptions. Get 'em next time...
