For comparison to Burke: Fedde 1st: 21 pitches: 5 pitch K looking (Tauchman); single (Meidroth); pop out 3B (Benintendi); SB (Meidroth); BB (Vargas); weak ground out (Teel). They tried but no timely hitting. C'MON SOX!
I can't stand to see them beat themselves. They have to execute fundamental baseball at this level. And you guys are right - the music chairs with positions is detrimental. Vargas should be playing first. Put Sosa at third.
Ugh. Well, they didn't quit again. Quero's out is down to the ump. Luis could've waited for a better pitch. Any pitch near the strike zone would've had Slater, but thankfully ball 4 missed by a mile. Taylor struck out fair and square, but was overmatched. Just not good enough.
