Surprisingly, Peters is leading the team in .BA (.333), OBP (.400), and tied for 3rd in OPS (.789).

Very pleased with him today!

From what I can tell, Vargas is a liability at 3rd statistically. But let's keep our fingers crossed that he performs well where ever he is positioned.

Yeah, he managed some really poor teams. See my edit. But he is considered one of the greatest managers ever, including a great rebuilder of teams. His 3731 wins is the record, almost 850 more than any other manager (La Russa). But yes, he did manage for 50 years.

I'm not convinced just yet. He couldn't field 3rd previously. Made some of the harder plays but often botched the easy ones. He was better at first, but Murakami is obviously a better choice there.

This team has been unable to execute fundamental baseball for several seasons now. It's pathetic how bad this team is led and coached. Shameful at the ML level.

I don't think Getz has improved anything.

I've never seen a ML team play so bad. I mean they are literally worse than '62 Mets bad. Not all these guys came up in the Sox org. It's the way they are coached now, at the ML level. Getz.

There is just so much wrong with this team. The players have little chance of performing to their potential, as limited as it may be.
