Happy Noah Schultz Day! Although with the current forecast it's looking more like a Reinsdorf day.

Looks like it will probably happen, but it might be a late night.

I'll be there assuming the weather holds off enough. Always hate when we have the maybe or maybe not for bad weather effecting the game.

McClanahan’s velo is down about 2mph since we last saw him. Hopefully that continues just for tonight.

I will be so sad if rain robs me of Schultz night.

Weather is garbage here as well. Misery loves company. If the field and mound are wet I think we'd all prefer him to debut another day.

The worst possible scenario is a knee-tweak on a his debut day.

Yea and with the added juice of his debut you don't really need any other variables that could contribute to injury or a poor start. Waiting around for the opening weather wise isn't ideal prep either.

Hope the weather cooperates

Yeah, realistically 5% may well be accurate. If it rains, you probably are at 10%.

Looks like there's a window, at least as of now.

they should call up Wikelman Gonzalez, small sample size (11ip, 6 games), but dude has been pretty much dominant

0.69 whip, 3bb/11ks, 1 ER

Bannister said the hope is 5 innings for Schultz, though Getz confirmed he has a pitch limit.

He was at 40/57/73 pitches in his three outings. Realistically that puts him somewhere between 90-100 pitches on that schedule, but they might limit him a bit more with it being MLB vs AAA.

He was decent last year in limited action

Now let's get Hays and teel back. And maybe have a little better offense.. A little is the key word

Just making this a watchable product night to night would be a small but giant improvement. On a side note, such a miserable day here, wish I was laying on a beach in PR eating a pincho.

Looks to me like most of the rain is going to be north of the city.

Major League debut in his hometown with 500 guests……it will be a miracle his pitch count isn’t elevated his first couple of innings.

Yeah I’m hoping he can just hold his own for this one. Would be great if he shoved, obviously.

i think noah was measured at 6'11 last year, 6'10 might be old info

edit: he was 6'9, and grew to 6'10, he was never 6'11
