So, how many will Danks give up in the second? And Durbin throwing cupcakes up there to our hitters and surprisingly a 8 pitch inning or so.

Again Konerko showing no ability to go the other way, tries to pull every ball.

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 07:42 PM) Danks 94 mph must be at the same place as Masset's 97 mph fastball. Danks is going to have to have good control in order to last in the majors this year, and he doesn't seem to have that right now. At least Massett's fastball has life on it, so he can survive at 94 or 95. But Danks' fastball is just plain straight.

No doubt in my mind, KW is gonna trade for a starter assuming we are still in the race. None of our pitchers our major league ready yet, Danks needed more AAA time, Gio is a year away at least, same with Russell. Broadway wont ever make a start for the Sox.

Where is Danks' fastball that was supposed to be topping out at 94? If you throw a straight fastball and it doesn't get above 90 MPH, you are gonna get rocked. Example, John Danks. He's gotta get his changeup and breaking ball over the plate for strikes. BTW, the pitch was a cookie and Thames just whiffed.

The Tiger hitters are pretty much sitting dead red on fastballs and lighting him up. This might be one of those games where you let Danks embarress himself for the sake of the bullpen.

Why do all our pitchers have Freddy Garcia sydrome?

Hall ahead of Schedule!
yeah, we really need Toby because AJ cannot hit a lick against lefties (nor righties right now, too,) so Hall is the perfect plantoon partner, which is the reason the Sox signed him. Molina has impressed with his catching abilities and game calling ability, but he was in AA for a reason last year because he can't hit a lick.

White Sox vs. Indians, 4/15/07 (L)
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 02:32 PM) I'm watching the Twins game right now, and wondering to myself when did Boof Bonser begin throwing 94 mph? Also, I have to say I've been impressed with how Molina calls a game. With Aardsma he's been calling inside/out, up/down, with both slider and fastball. You don't see this often with Pierzynski. If he actually could hit the ball he'd be invaluable. And he frickin gunned that ball to second base on the steal attempt, he did everything right, quick relase, pefect placement, the runner just got a great jump.

White Sox vs. Indians, 4/15/07 (L)
Crede you really do suck right now, don't you? I mean, he can't even put a solid swing on a ball. Nothing he hits is hard, all little crappy pop ups. My god where did the Rally Crede go?

QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 01:38 PM) the indians announcers think the sox are terrible. they are clearly seeing the truth unlike OG and Hawk/DJ.

White Sox vs. Indians, 4/15/07 (L)
Honestly KW really dropped the boat when he didnt pick the Eduardo Perez to make the team, he would be our best hitter against lefties and would be so much better than Erstad. Erstad and Pods are identical, why have two?

Egbert...
QUOTE(BearSox @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 12:32 AM) Anyone know what type of stuff he has, and where does he project to in a rotation? He has only given up like 6 homers in his minor league career, correct? According to Phil Rogers, fastball tops out in the low 90's, which means he is an upper 80's pitcher, plus changeup and like Flash said, his fastball must have some good sink/movement to it. Not sure about the breaking stuff, but I would imagine he has got a pretty solid one.

4/14 Games - Day with 16 K in 5.2 IP this year
Dewon Day's K/9 = 25 ish. Yeah thats kinda sick. I said he would be in the Sox pen b4 August and I see nothing minus his control that will stop him. Massett could honestly use some time in AAA as his control has been less than steller.

At least our D has played well this year.

White Sox vs. Indians, 4/14/07 (L)
See the Indians do this thing called hitting the other way. Wonder why the Sox haven't figured out this concept yet? Oh yeah, Greg Walker preaches the three-run homerun with no one one.
-
White Sox vs. Indians, 4/14/07 (L)
Greg Walker needs to f***in be screaming at his hitters or just leave. We can't have this home run crap all year.
