Song Help. I don't know what it is called.
It's a rap song that plays to the beat of the old NBA on NBC anthem at the chorus of the song. I heard it during warmups of the ILL/NU basketball game. Any help would be appreciated.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jan 23, 2006 -> 03:41 PM) hotwire.com. Chicago 1/27-1/29. Downtown. The 4 star at the top for $68 at Mag Mile/Wacker Drive is either the Hyatt or River North Westin. Its a 99.9% chance its the Hyatt. The Westin never gets that low. that is a damn good deal.

Also, tell me if it is a good match or not, I don't want to send it to Mac, Jurko and Harry if they don't match.

Guillen discusses lineup changes
QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 20, 2006 -> 06:07 PM) We still do have that option for Iguchi's 3rd year. I can't imagine us not retaining him if he has another year like last. We also don't have anyone who is ready for second base. He makes barely anything and is a top 10 second basemen. Getz needs 2-3 years and as well does Valido. And Pedro Lopez is never going to be anything, he simply can't hit.

Guillen discusses lineup changes
the fact that he will see plenty of fastballs b/c Pods is on first will help Uribe so much. Batting second in 2004, he batted .285 with a .846 slugging %. In 260 at bats, he had 12 homers.

Sox rated 11th best farm system by Sports Weekly
QUOTE(fathom @ Jan 20, 2006 -> 04:12 PM) BTW, has it become public knowledge who Baseball America is going to name as the Sox #1 prospect? It's quite interesting. I have heard grumblings of who it is. I won't say because some people will want to see it when it comes out, but if you PM I will tell you.

Sox rated 11th best farm system by Sports Weekly
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 20, 2006 -> 03:18 PM) Viola and Moviel are not major league prospects. Yet Sean Tracey and Jerry Owens (two of our 10 best prospects) are somehow on the list with him and Ryan Sweeney is nowhere to be seen. Also surprised Richard Brooks isn't anywhere. I like his arm. 90% of his up and comers list is garbage. And if Chris Stewart is a cream of the crop our organization should be dead last. Ya that young Cf that Kenny loves. Name escapes me right now and Micah is definately the s***znit at 3rd. Salvador Sanchez?

Sox rated 11th best farm system by Sports Weekly
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 20, 2006 -> 12:47 PM) I really think they are overating our farm system too... i wouldnt put us in the top15.... but hey if they want to hype our prospects I dont mind just means more trade bait. Paul White wrote the piece. Gems of the System Brian Anderson Ray Liottta Cream of the Crop Francisco Hernandez Chris Stewart (really likes Stewart-I see him as our back-up next year) Rob Valido (he calls him Rob, not Roberto) Up-and-Coming Brandon Allen Jack Egbert Josh Fields Jay Marshall Noe Rodriguez Ehren Wassermann (loses a lot of cred. there, Wasser is good, but undrafted-not a up and coming and 25.) Sleepers (although they called it Up-and-Coming again, it was an error) Tom Collaro Boone Logan Paul Moviel Top 2005 Draftees Lance Broadway Alex Woodson Daniel Cortes Aaron Cunningham Clayton Richards Others Worth Noting Jerry Owens Kris Honel Sean Tracey Frank Viola III White loses credibility with me for not mentioning Sweeney and Getz while he mentions others less deserving, but there was his list.

Sox rated 11th best farm system by Sports Weekly
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 20, 2006 -> 12:23 PM) I really don't think we are the 11th best farm system. If we are the other systems must blow. All our talent is at lower levels and even that is quite thin for the time being. If a few guys can get healthy and live up to their potential I can see us being there, but they haven't proved it yet. My guess is they had them pretty high and made the ranking when we had all those guys. Our system was pretty strong than, probably right around top 10, maybe top 7. Young, Haigwood and Gonzalez were not included in the rankings.

Carmen and Silvy to get the Ax?
I like Carmen and Silvy, but if I had to have another pair, I would like JD and Mark Malone. BTW, did anyone hear J Hood and Steve Rosenbloom today on ESPN 1000? They were god awful.

Gordon looks very good, and only a Junior.
-
Willie Harris
good move if he is a minor leaguer/part time reserve. Willie Harris is not a starting major leaguer.
-
Mac, Jurko and Harry
Thanks for the info. Yeah, pretty lame BIG announcement.
-
Mac, Jurko and Harry
I missed the big announcement, so I was hoping someone could fill me in. It was probably nothing that big anyway like when Mike and Mike's BIG announcement was they were going to be simulcasted on ESPN 2. So, just curious what the announcement was. Thanks.

Recruiting Thread
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 18, 2006 -> 08:38 PM) BTW, if anyone hasnt checked out Oden, you should. He is a beast. Likewise, Gordon is a stud in the making. Can't wait to watch. Oden dominated Carlwell (UI recruit,) so I will be interested to see how his counterpart, Conley, guards Gordon. I am jacked up about tomorrow night's game. Like you said Rock, Gordon is a stud in the making. He already is a dynamic scorer, give him another year in high school and the kid will be unreal.
