QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 18, 2006 -> 08:18 PM) Wiscy and OSU tied up 31-31 at the half in Columbus. Come on Buckeyes! I really want OSU, but I hate Matt Slyvester (because of the shot.)

Our favorite writer again shows he is an idiot
This comes from his top 100 prospects list. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/5256920 I believe Nolasco was traded for Pierre in the off-season. And I thought Dayn Perry was a professional writer, I guess he doesn't do his research. BTW, it was released only 5 hours ago, so its new.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 18, 2006 -> 07:48 PM) Yuck. Wiscy on an 8-0 run ties it back up at 15-15, w/ 12 minutes to go in the first half. Come on OSU! Come on OSU. We (as in everybody in the Big Ten) need a Wiscy loss.

Dukies losing at half to N.C. State 34-33. I really like the way the Wolfpack play. They don't have any superstarts, but they are team oritented, give 100% on both ends and have great coaching. That is a team you root for, and it doesn't hurt that they are playing Duke.

Off-season grades
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 18, 2006 -> 03:38 PM) this makes me nervous. We win the world series after everyone counts us out. Then we are rated highly like the 3 years before we win. Every year that we were picked to be good and win the division, we have fallen flat on our face. yeah, it scares me, too. 2001, we were the organization of the year with the top minor league system. We were predicted to do well once again and we had a boatload of injuries and blew up.

Sox rated 11th best farm system by Sports Weekly
They have Anderson and Liotta as the top hitter and pitcher 11th overall, even after losing 3 top prospects is darn good.

I will be there all three days, but unfortunately will be missing two days of track practice. This will be my third year, basically what I do is sit in at the seminars. I really don't care for standing in two hour long lines for autographs or watching the baseball tips seminars. I just like listening to KW, Rick Hahn, Hawk, D.J. in the big seminar room.

Airport Mechanic Sucked Into Jet Engine
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jan 17, 2006 -> 10:43 AM) I remember something similar on one of those wild TLC or Discovery programs which highlight humany misery. May have been Spike TV, I don't recall. But anyways, it was caught on film. A mechanic of a fighter jet was caught on night vision walking past a turbine engine, where he was literally sucked into it. He miraculously survived. It looked surreal on tape; something you'd never expect to witness. Too bad this guy wasn't so lucky. Yeah, I saw that, too. The guy only had some bruises, cuts and a broken bone or too. No permenant damage.

TV In Your Bedroom?
QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Jan 16, 2006 -> 09:48 PM) No hi def in the bedroom just yet, but I do have a TV in there. I have a 42-inch plasma in my office so I usually wind down the evening online and watching TV before going to bed. But I still have to have a TV on to fall asleep. Good thing for a sleep timer! I have total overkill on TV's. I have 5 TV's and live by myself, including two 42" plasmas and a 48" widescreen rear projection. Hi def boxes alone make my cable bill sky high every month! Rex can you adopt me? Man that is a lot of TVs. I have one in my room. Like a lot of the responses here, I need it to sleep. If I didn't have it, I would over-analyze every sound I hear and would never fall asleep. I love going to sleep with Sportscenter in the background every night or the occasional Hawk and D.J. call during some west coast trips.

Top Prospects at the CB position
I want Kelly Jennings in the second, who do you guys want?
-
Top Prospects at the TE position
I want Davis, but he won't be available, so I want Lewis. Who do you guys like Lewis or Pope, or even Fasano/Byrd?

Panthers @ BEARS
Angelo better not get complacement like in 2001 when he did not upgrade the team. He better make better draft picks and get good FA. We need another WR (that can play right away, so that eliminates draft,) two TEs, a young tackle and guard, a veteran 3rd string QB, LBs, a starting CB and safety depth. 4 of these can be legitamately accomplished in the draft, but the rest in free agency.

Bears 2006 Wish List
Draft 1. TE Davis/Lewis/Pope 2. CB Kelly Jennings (Miami) 6 ft. who runs 4.4 3. Jeremy Trueblood (BC) 6-9 Tackle 4-7 best talent available Free Agency WR Antonio Bryant (24 years old, 1000 yards this year, 6-2, coming into his own) TE Matt Schobel (27 years old, big target) S Adam Archuleta (big FA pickup, Chris Harris is good, so is Brown, but Brown is injured too often and see what our backup safeties did this year, we need him. He can start and have Harris off the bench, Harris will still see plenty of time) 3rd string QB O-line depth LB depth
