18 tricks to teach your body...
on #4, if you intentionally cough during a needle injection, I can only imagine what the nurse might accidently do. Besides that, very interesting read.

Will KW acquire a Lefty reliever?
Reynoso is terrible. He walks nearly a hitter per inning and gives up only a little less hits than innings pitched. Basically, two players reach base every inning. That is worst than Marte and Reynoso did this in AA. He does not even deserve a shot at a bullpen role. IMO, Munoz is the best candidate because he can keep the walks down and is lethal on lefties. With your second lefty in the pen (a luxury few teams really have) all he has to be able to do real well is get lefties out. Munoz can do that. However, I do want KW to get some competition and no Kevin Walker is not competition. Just my two cents.

I know it might be a little early for this.
QUOTE(RME JICO @ Jan 3, 2006 -> 07:45 PM) Who cares if we win the Super Bowl? Me. Also, it has a lot to do with the draft picks. Davis would be a great pick, but he will not be around that late. Pope seems to be the most realistic pick. I messed up my post, it meant to be who cares b/c if we win that is all that matters. I am a bad typer today.

QUOTE(RME JICO @ Jan 3, 2006 -> 05:46 PM) Davis would be awesome, but who knows what will be available at the last pick in the 1st round. Who cares if we win the Super Bowl b/c that is the only way we get the last pick. But I want one of the Lewis, Davis, Pope and either one of them can bring this offense to the next level. Davis the most followed by Lewis and then Pope.

Draft Order Is In
QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Jan 2, 2006 -> 09:41 PM) I dont think New Orleans would be a good fit for Leinart. Vince Young fits it better, also something tells me that the New York Jets are going to trade up and try to make some sort of deal with the Texans. Reggie is New York would be a gold mine (even more) for him.

Draft Order Is In
QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Jan 2, 2006 -> 01:32 PM) With so Many needs at Houston.. I could see them dealing the pick, For a 1,3,4 this year 1 and 3 next year.. Maybe more given Bush going pro. Houston has Domnick Davis, they could also trade him for a 2nd round pick, Draft Bush, and pick up 2 OL in the 2nd round. solid RB's in NFl aren't hard to find, just look at A-Pete and lots of others. Texans would not be able to get a second rounder for Davis. Maybe a 4th or a 5th. But he isn't special and you can get one of those in the draft almost any time.

Robeto Garza signs 6 year contract extension
http://www.chicagobears.com/news/newsDetail.jsp?id=13451 Glad he is coming back. Very good o-lineman

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 2, 2006 -> 02:37 PM) Vernon Davis please. ^^^^^^^^ dude is workout freak who still produces on the field. 6-3, 253 lbs. 4.4 speed and only 3% body fat. He is what this offense needs to go to the next level meaning top 15 in the league. We have a great O-line, plenty of RB's and our receivers are starting to look like something. Gage and Berrain have emerged as solid #3's. Moose is still pretty good despite the drops this year. We need a #2, is that Bradley coming off injury or do we need to add someone else?

Louisville's Amobi Okoye
He is pretty good, too. Played as a Freshman at 16. Looks like an intriguing propsect for his ability and his smarts. http://uoflsports.collegesports.com/sports...ye_amobi00.html

NFL Coaches Firings Galore!
http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/5214572 Brett will likely go after this, can't wait to see the Pack have more losing seasons with Rodgers trying to be their savior. The NFC North is going to be dominated by the Bears for the rest of the decade.

Bears vs. Vikings Game Thread
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 1, 2006 -> 05:16 PM) f***ing blah Tampa basically has #1 defense in the bag It's just in yards, as long as remain the best scoring defense, that is the key point.

Bears vs. Vikings Game Thread
Man, Orton sucks. Albeit with a bad o-line now, Rex is so much better and Lovie should win Coach of the Year just because of switching QB's.
-
Arnie Munoz
When he was strictly a reliever, he has been dominant. I also believe in the Dominican Winter League a couple years ago, he was the pitcher of the year. Could do worse as as second lefty (Kevin Walker anybody?), but can do much better as well.

Chris Young
Diamondbacks have so many great offensive prospects. They are a little thin pitching wise. Plus, their starting rotation is pathetic and their bullpen is horrible. They won't ever contend without fixing the pitching even with the potential for one of the best hitting teams in the future. Stephan Drew and Upton up the middle is going to be lethal.

Bears vs. Vikings Game Thread
I see B-squared (Berrain) having a 100+ game. Orton will be giving every opportunity to stretch the field deep.

Tonight, Marie's Pizza in the city. Best Pizza in the city. My family has been going there since the 50's. The best.

Films
I saw Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (let the jokes begin.) Steve Martin was funny, but Eugene Levy's character didn't allow him to have his usual humor. Movie was pretty bad, but some hot girls (Carmen Electra and the Murtaugh's oldest girl, don't know her name.)

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Dec 31, 2005 -> 03:21 AM) I love it how everybody is pickin Indiana and MSU to win the Big Ten this year. I think the Illini has gotten a little somethin in store for them. Just like the Sox. Let's let the Illini fly under the radar. I don't think a National Championship is in store this year, but deep run (final four?) is certainly possible.

The Count possibly to the Astros?
Tim Dierkes (guy from mlbtraderumors.com) seems to have some good sources. I know the guy is a Cub fan, so he probably knows some Chicago guys; both Sox and Cubs.

The Count possibly to the Astros?
I don't really like anything the Astros have to offer. But, if this is the team willing to give the most, I would like Chad Qualls, Troy Patton and Jason Hirsch.

Can Tejada be a reality?
QUOTE(SEALgep @ Dec 30, 2005 -> 05:39 PM) True. Although, I don't think the Cubs will be able to make it happen unless they drop their demand for Bedard, or significantly up their package. By your thinking, the Sox will need to include 3 more top prospects. the Cubs are already including Mark Prior, who will be under their control for 3 more years and who is a top 5 pitcher in the majors when healthy. And his injuries have been freak things nothing that would make you worry. The calf and the broken elbow.

Can Tejada be a reality?
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 30, 2005 -> 05:21 PM) Alex Woodson participated in the 2003 National Pre Draft Showcase via Perfect Game. He threw a fastball as hard as 88 MPH (Avg 84-86) and his breaking pitch was around 70 MPH. It indicates he didn't throw a changeup at the time. He was selected in the 29th round by the Oakland A's following this workout. Ryan Sweeney also participated in this workout throwing a fastball as hard as 89. Woodson didn't sign. Instead he attended Porterville College. His fastball has moved up to the 87-88 MPH range and he throws a good tight curveball. If you go here and scroll down you can watch video of him pitching. http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/events/d...?sc=round&sp=16 has a nice delivery, kind of deceptive and sound mechanics. That being said, he looks like he could be a reliever at best. None of his pitches looked that good, but nor did Mark Buerhle. The profile said he has a good work ethic, so you never know, but I have no idea why Baltimore would want this guy at this stage of his career.
