  1. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Dec 27, 2005 -> 12:39 PM) The guy is an absolute phenom. Best high school player EVER! He was one of the best high school players ever.
  2. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Dec 27, 2005 -> 11:50 AM) On the other hand, the SF market is looking good, but we already have Deng and Nocioni, so forget about any of these guys. Al Harrington, Atlanta Peja Stojakovic, Sacramento (Player option) Bonzi Wells, Sacramento Matt Harpring, Utah James Posey, Miami (Player option) John Salmons, Philadelphia (Restricted) Ruben Patterson, Portland (Player option) Trevor Ariza, New York (Restricted) Devean George, LA Lakers Devin Brown, Utah (Team option) Walter McCarty, LA Clippers Laron Profit, LA Lakers Tim Thomas, Chicago Rasual Butler, New Orleans Jiri Welsch, Milwaukee Eric Williams, Toronto (Player option) Justin Reed, Boston Jumaine Jones, Charlotte Lee Nailon, Philadelphia Ronald Dupree, Minnesota Maciej Lampe, New Orleans (Restricted) George Lynch Adrian Griffin, Dallas Calbert Cheaney, Golden State Matt Barnes, Philadelphia 76ers Bryon Russell, Denver Ndudi Ebi Ryan Bowen, Houston (Player option) Toni Kukoc, Milwaukee Sean Banks, New Orleans Qyntel Woods, New York Terrence Morris, Orlando Donta Smith, Atlanta (Team option) Shavlik Randolph, Philadelphia That Tim Thomas looks good.
  3. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Dec 26, 2005 -> 10:37 PM) Morrison is an offensive SF. He's way too slow to play SG. Hell, some people think he may be too slow to play SF at the next level. And Morrison is horrible on defense. He plays great offensively in terms of scoring, but he has nothing else. We need a go to scorer desperately who can score in many ways--that is Morrison. At the 2 guard/small forward position is where you find your scorers and players who aren't great defensively. Morrison can be a dynamic scorer, but plays hard on defense (what Gordon really doesn't do.) If he is on this team, he is the best offensive threat because he can bring every night from anywhere.
  4. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Dec 26, 2005 -> 10:25 PM) You claim Ben isn't a Skiles type player, but yet want Morrison who is the definition of all O and no D. Very weird. Anyway, LaMarcus Aldridge or bust. There is a big difference though, Gordon is an all offensive 2 guard at 6-3 while Morrison is a 6-8 2 guard that plays hard all the time. Morrison is not a bad defensive player, he is coachable and plays old-school. You underestimate his defensive abilities.
  5. QUOTE(rangercal @ Dec 26, 2005 -> 10:20 PM) stojakovic or bust He would bring the offensive threat we need, but his scoring has been going down the last three years. He also will command a max contract and I am not sure Pax will want to give it to a good, but not great offensive player.
  6. It's clear that the Bulls are not a good team. If they make the playoffs this year--which might not happen--it will only be as a 7th or 8th seed. This team has a lot of work to do in the off-season, but lots of parts are available. So, here is my off-season plan: Draft Knicks pick--hope to god Adam Morrison is available anywhere from 3-6. Bulls Pick--Nick Fazekas We get a big shooting guard that can defend and plays basketball the way Skiles likes, thus plenty of playing time. Nick Fazekas provides an atheltic big man that can shoot, which is a necessity in the new NBA. If we trade a pick, I hope its our pick, which can be packaged with Ben Gordon to get a big guy that can play. Free Agency Sign Nazr Mohammed Sign Al Harrington We get bigger and more athletic and get two guys who can start for us and provide both offense and defense. Harrington more offense than defense and Mohammed more D than O, but nice balance. This enables you to mix Chandler in with good players surrounding him so he can succeed on the court. Team 1. Nazr Mohammed 2. Tyson Chandler 3. Al Harrington 4. Mike Sweetney 5. Nick Frazekas 6. Andres Nocioni 7. Darius Songaila 8. Luol Deng 9. Basden/FA/big defensive 2 guard 10. Chris Duhon 11. Adam Morrison 12. Kirk Hinrich **Notice no Ben Gordon, he is not a Bulls type player. All O and no D, he will be gone. Line-Up C-Chandler/Mohammed/Sweetney/Frazekas PF-Al Harrington/Chandler/Nocioni/Frazekas SF-Deng/Noc/Songaila SG-Morrison/Hinrich/big D 2 guard PG-Hinrich/Duhon Don't you love when morons try to play GM and think they can solve all the problems. But seriously, what do you guys think? What changes would you make? I want to hear some feedback.

As much as I hate Scott Boras, if you are a baseball player, you want this man as your agent. You will make top dollar and if you aren't a greedy bastard you still can have a mind of your own. But, damn, Kevin Milwood for 5 years at $12 million per year. Seriously, Garland could get a 6-year deal. Millwood was one year after arm surgery and Garland has been as healthy as can be. Kenny get this guy out of town quickily.
  8. The Indians fans are putting in their votes, so I think us Sox fans need to show our support. Just go to minorleagueball.com (John Sickels site) and on the left vote Sox for AL Central Champs.
  9. We traded him to open a spot for Anderson. We wouldn't trade back for him.
  10. NFC North Champs!!!
  11. Rex looking good early.
  12. They are not going to cut Turner loose after one season. He has done a solid job with the circumstances. Give Turner a Qb and see how he does.
  13. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Dec 24, 2005 -> 01:33 PM) Well Chad scored... Does anyone know what he did? I hope CBS halftime show shows the celebration.
  14. QUOTE(thomsonmi @ Dec 23, 2005 -> 09:11 PM) I visit and post occasionally at... http://cbfans.easycgi.com/mbbs2/forums/forum-view.asp?fid=2 cbfans is the best Bears board out there.
  15. Here are the Sox numbers against Sabathia, Lee, Westbrook, Byrd and Johnson last year. Not included is Byrd in the playoffs. Sabathia 4.63 ERA, 0-1, .239 BAA Lee 8.10 ERA, 0-0, .333 BAA Westbrook 5.13 ERA, 0-4, .279 BAA Byrd 7.50 ERA, 1-0, .286 BAA Johnson 5.54 ERA, 0-2, .303 BAA Thank you CLEVELAND
  16. Indians have had a terrible off-season. They are sitting back and hoping that all their young players develope into superstars. They lose Millwood, Elarton and Howry and get crap as replacements. They are putting all their eggs in one basket hoping C.C. Sabathia and Cliff Lee becoming aces. C.C. is good, but he had an ERA over 4.00 last year and Lee had a 3.79 ERA. These guys are good, but they are middle rotation guys as of now. They are hoping that these guys are stud because Westbrook, Johnson and Byrd are not exactly a scary 3-4-5.
  17. QUOTE(sayitaintso @ Dec 23, 2005 -> 12:24 PM) How tall is your Festivus pole? I have a 10 foot aluminum pole. Who wants to beat me in the feats of strength.
  18. The Knicks have been known to get the #1 pick before.
  19. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Dec 22, 2005 -> 09:42 PM) Bulls fans, tell me how the Knicks pick we got works out. They are looking BAD, so do we just flat out get there 1st round pick at the end of the year? We get the Knicks pick unless they have one of the five best records in the league or San Antonio has one of the five worst records in the league. Obviously, none of the above will happen. If it did occur, the pick would go to Utah or I forgot the other team. So, we will most likely have the Knicks pick next year. And in 2007, we have the right to swap picks with the Knicks. Pretty damn good trade if you ask me.
  20. Sweetney was horrible tonight. We will hopefully make the playoffs this year as the #8 seed and then still look respectable for free agents. We need two or three big men badly. Al Harrington, Nazr Mohammed and Lamarcus Aldridge would be a nice trio.
  21. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Dec 22, 2005 -> 05:04 PM) I just heard Boers and Bernstein on the Score say it so I checked it out. You don't think that it's a coincidence that MySpace took the page down just now? It's most likely James Dungy's page. No coincidence, it was probably getting so many hits.
  22. Who has a website of their Bar-Mitzvah?

    everything bagel with cream cheese.
  24. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 22, 2005 -> 03:39 PM) Is Deng going to be playing tonight? Deng is questionable. And we need him to play otherwise we will lose by 20+. Lebron might go for fifty tonight since we got nobody that can stop him.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 22, 2005 -> 12:43 PM) Ok lets presume Kenny wants two relievers in a deal: Elbert or another prospect from the Dodgers, Broxton, and Brazoban. Brazoban is a major leaguer reliever that started to really struggle late last year, however he did notch 22 saves and has a power arm. Broxton is a converted reliever who was called up late last season and has a power arm and a good slider. Elbert is an A ball rookie thats on par with Gio Gonzalez. Not a bad looking deal cause the Sox can slide Brazoban and Broxton into the back of there pen and let the two develop. Plus you have a shot at letting Tracey compete. Would this not be a fair enough deal? I like it and Colleti wants to make an impact right now with the vet signings and Furcal. I think he would do something like this for Garland. They don't give up Guzman, Billingsley, Miller or Jackson. Let's hope Colleti will overpay trying to get Garland.
