  1. Now I understand the reasoning behind the rotation, and I like what they intended. Also, that last snippet about Carl is funny. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...tesox-headlines
  2. QUOTE(chimpy2121 @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 09:43 PM) I got Comcast High Speed. Same.
  3. Here's what I got: Your download speed : 1825732 bps, or 1782 kbps. A 222.8 KB/sec transfer rate. Your upload speed : 320688 bps, or 313 kbps.
  4. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 09:34 PM) We'd be over the salary cap. Yep.
  5. QUOTE(knightni @ Jul 2, 2005 -> 01:57 AM) Does anyone have this picture CBS/mega sized?
  6. I'll admit I haven't been paying too much attention to this thread. I know we've been interested in Schmidt. Now after hearing who we'd be giving up, I really like this deal. Loaiza could be KW's best move ever, if this went down. Because Loaiza could =Schmidt.
  7. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 07:02 PM) Who are the others? Pods doesn't belong in the all-star game, but since 'this year it counts,' he'd be a very valuable chip to have in a close game late. Final vote candidates from mlb.com: Carl Crawford, TB Trevor Hoffman, SD Derek Jeter, NYY Brett Myers, PHI Torii Hunter, MIN Roy Oswalt, HOU Hideki Matsui, NYY Billy Wagner, PHI Scott Podsednik, CWS Brandon Webb, ARI
  8. It'll be hard with the validation key. I didn't vote as much last year, but I know in 2003 with Frank on the ballot, the validation key didn't matter after awihle. Gah, we ALWAYS have to have someone on here. Hopefully the Yanks cancel each other out.
  9. I'd rather see Torii get in, than Jeter or Matsui. Of course, Pods would be my first preference.
  10. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 06:44 PM) Jeter will be on the f***ing 32nd man thingy. He'll win in a runaway. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 06:44 PM) s*** Jeter is going to be the 30th man. Damn it. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 06:44 PM) The way they phrased it though, he's going to be on the 30th man. Yep.
  11. Haha the face of baseball's not in the ASG. The way they phrased it though, he's going to be on the 30th man.
  12. QUOTE(CubsSuck1 @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 06:36 PM) Are they going to do the 'vote for the 30th man' thing, where we can vote for the final reserve online? I hope a sox will get nominated, although someone from boston or new york will probably win as usual... I hope we don't, lol. I feel like I HAVE to vote for the Sox guy on those, and I end up voting like 24/7 until it closes.
  13. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 06:30 PM) I'm agreeing with Gammons. He thinks Mark should start to award the White Sox for the best record. I like that idea. I really started buying into the Halladay as the SP for the ASG, and then I heard that. I really would like to see the Sox be rewarded in some way for what they've done up to this point. However, in a way I don't want to see our pitchers have to be in the real game, for the sake of our season. I'm torn.
  14. Bah, I thought we'd separate the Cubans. Thanks though. It looks like I'll see Duque on the 23rd then.
  15. I'm having a little trouble deciphering this. Can someone figure out how we're going to work the rotation after the break? I just hope Duque and Contreras are now split up. http://whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/ar...t=.jsp&c_id=cws

  17. QUOTE(PutItOnTheBoard @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 05:56 AM) good stuff mr. showtime Welcome to SoxTalk!
  18. The thing I'm most curious about is the SP of the game for the AL, and I'm pretty sure we don't find that out until later in the week. Also, Milkman Delivers deserves a little dap. This was his idea to have an All-Star game thread. It'll really keep things all in one place on the topic everyone's going to want to talk about.
  19. Crede > Chavez Nice job Sox! Let's take the series tomorrow and go to 30 games over .500!
  20. It was a pleasant surprise to see the new banner logging into SoxTalk tonight. Nice to see a little history mixed with the present day Sox. Nice work!
  21. QUOTE(FoxySoxGirl @ Jul 2, 2005 -> 09:08 PM) How much are Dave Matthews tickets going for? This will be the first time in 4 years I haven't been to a DMB show. Have any so far been good? Welcome; I went and I got my ticket for $45 for a lawn seat in Noblesville, IN. I absolutely loved it, and I definitely want to see him again.
  22. I'll probably see War of the Worlds next, but the last 2 movies I've seen in the theater were Batman and Star Wars.
  23. That was a fun/funny game to watch (JG in Oakland in April). Garland was just on his game, and Hawk and DJ were a little crazy. They had an extreme obsession for the names Marco Scutaro and Huston Street, and they were real excited for the Widger HR call, since they hadn't been able to do many HR calls up to that point of the season. With all that being said, let's hope this game is just as enjoyable to watch.
  24. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jul 1, 2005 -> 05:10 PM) Using the Will Ferrell Jeopardy Board; 1 - Colors that are Red 2 - The Letter that comes after B 3 - Potent Potables 4 - Japan US Relations (please don't mis-pronounce this). I'll take Jap anus relations for 200, Trebeck.
