July 3, 200520 yr The Sox won a game in Oakland, my friends. Let us concern ourselves with that. Here, I'll get us started: HOUSE OF HORRORS MY ASS, LEAGUE LEADER IN WINS, CAREER HIGH IN WINS, EASY SAVE FOR DUSTIN, PERFECT INNING FOR POLITTE, CREDE IS CLUTCH, AND THE OFFENSE WAKES UP!!!!!!!!!!!!

July 3, 200520 yr Author QUOTE(knightni @ Jul 2, 2005 -> 09:54 PM) Nuke, did you hit the Jack tonight? Your sig is 2 shots down. I was VERY happy to do a shot for that one. I just havent updated it recently. I must be slipping some.
July 3, 200520 yr Thread has been cleaned quickly. Really nice win though. Garland was smooth as silk and Crede came up with some big hits. Heck, Willie had a key play in the game (the single and steal to get into scoring position) and Timo ripped a nice insurance double. Garland was fantastic, I just love watching him pitch this year.

That game was an overall great effort and Crede was obviously awesome, he really does make tough hops seem routine.
July 3, 200520 yr Crede has been having a pretty decent season actually for all the hate he gets, hate included from me, well not real hate just wanting of a replacement. his HR numbers and RBI total are good for a #8 hitter.

I said it before I'll say it again he has to be the third baseman unless an absolute stud is available. He is so damn awesome defensviely and like you said his power numbers are perfectly fine.
July 3, 200520 yr Big win tonight. With the Twins winning, I didn't want our lead to slip to 8 1/2. And it's always a good thing when we win in Oakland. Garland wasn't great, but he gave us a chance to win. Who would've thought he would surpass his career high of 12 wins on July 2nd?

I think if anything, we're all a little guilty of expecting too much from Joe. He had such a fabolous minor league career. Then that amazing two month stretch to end the season in 02. In my opinion, as long as Joe can give us .250, solid power numbers, and gold glove caliber defense, we should all be happy.

He gave us a quality start and thats about all you can ask of a pitcher. Nice to see him nail down win number 13 so early on in the season.
