QUOTE(Southside hitmen @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 12:46 AM) I agree but Frank isnt Ex Sox player yet I just don't think anyone else's numbers will be retired before Frank's. -

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 11:57 PM) I'll be very interested to see this game, should be a good one. You'll sure have your hands full Greasy, but it will be a good game. IU has some potential this year, that's for sure. I still don't believe in Davis, but that's just me. I want to see if this team really is different without Bracey, like many of you have been saying. I'm probably too optimistic when it comes to my teams and who's representing them, but this is it for Davis. This is finally the team we've been hearing so much about; if they don't make at least the round of Sweet 16, he's as good as gone in my book and most likely the university's. Wright being in the NBA is just being going to be good on several levels for this team. It'll be healthy for the offense IMO, and the chemistry will be a lot more solid too. -

Strickland's definitely done at the point. He's just so much better off the ball. He had his best games when Bracey was sidelined, and he was the 2 guard. I don't read a whole lot of Peegs and what not with a lot of the crappola the message board is filled with, but from what I have read, Monroe is a real PG. Something the Hoosiers haven't had in a while, he's solid with the ball and doesn't have many turnovers at all. He'll really fit in to this up-tempo game IU is looking to play with this lineup. That JUCO guard Calloway will have push Monroe for the PG spot a little bit too. -

QUOTE(Jimenez4MVP @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 10:29 PM) Indiana is gonna get smashed.. Duke is gonna be real good this year So is Indiana. FWIW, this team didn't get smashed by the national champs either last year, and that was their first real game of the season. -

I just got home to see the 13th; that was enough to test my nerves as it was. I saw Frank's bomb, and then saw Shingo almost bomb his pants. But it all worked out. I this team. -

QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 11:41 AM) I told you the trade thread would be totally unruly when you started it. The only reason I posted my suggestion of a separate forum in bold is because it was totally ignored on page 2 of that thread. I seriously think it's the best solution. It's gotten to 38 pages; which is apparent that people are still successfully having conversation in there. Large threads have worked well on SoxTalk.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 11:39 AM) You're assuming McCarthy will be good. Not saying he won't be, but that kind of reasoning can go either way. McCarthy's 21 years old, to expect a Buehrle performance out of him everytime in his first few appearances ever in the big leagues isn't exactly the greatest of reasoning either. -
Hermanson may miss some time in the near future...

QUOTE(3E8 @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 11:28 AM) Now it's a three-way battle between me, you, and Kalapse for the greatest tongue-in-cheek Soxtalk sig. I'd have to go with yours. It actually makes Timo look cool, which we all know he is not. -

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 11:21 AM) Can someone post a picture of Jenks? I've heard he's a big boy, but I've never actually seen him. He's in Addison's sig. -
We definitely just need to keep playing the way we have all season in the month of July. It'd be nice to just keep padding that cushion we have over the Twins. We all know the month of August is going to be a tough one.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 11:09 PM) What I don't understand is why Huston Street is a goddamn baseball analyst now? Did he suck at his former job? Is he a know-nothing s***head? Does he not know the names of half of his team? Huh? He's a 21 year old rookie.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 10:33 PM) At least I believe it was Rector. My brain's going, but it wouldn't surprise me. Yup. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...7674&hl=decline

Minnesota picked Bracey? I feel like such a proud parent.

Just getting off work, so I'm late to this thread, but I'm real happy with the pick of Danny Granger for the Pacers. I was only hearing us looking at a couple foreigners. Granger's going to be a nice plug-in for our defense.
-
He was one of my favorite Pacers.

Hmm.... Hoosiers.

RIP. But I'm sorry, I can't stand Wal-Mart.
