Well you can cancel the post-game show......

JG watched the Tom Emanski tapes last night. 15 up 15 down.

Neal Cotts only had the 1 AB, but he did himself justice.
-
Garland is workin' it right now....5 K's through 4 innings pitched.
-
Rowand with the bunt single, and Valentin moves into third on the error. Gload grounds into the 6-4-3 DP; Valentin scores. 1-0 Sox.

It's for Father's Day; any HR raises money for prostate cancer.

Frank with a stand-up double, his 15th of the season.

This is all over the ESPN boards. I didn't believe the Timo-Ginter trade, and I remember that being infested on the ESPN boards too. I mean who'd make up a deal involving Rauch and Meadows, take it FWIW......

Nope....I just read the first page, and immediately started looking up stats. He has a good K to BB ratio. I wish it would have been for real.

Had Tommy John surgery after a couple starts in the minors.

Jackson and Politte's last couple of outings

So it's okay that the bullpen gave up another 6 runs? Good job bullpen!!! -
We should have kept him up there; we started waking up when he was up there. I really liked Timmy Raines though; it felt like you could always see him or One-Dog on base before Frank got up.

When is a Sox pitching prospect....

I really agree too. I know what we saw wasn't pretty, but now Munoz knows what it's like to be up there on a ML mound. He'll still have the nerves, but I think he'll feel a hell of a lot more comfortable. He'll have a lot more control of what he's doing, if he feels more comfortable. We need to give him another shot. -

That's Mark, but yeah this is really getting old. We really can't have faith in anyone but Shingo and Damaso. True, Munoz gave up 11 runs in the first two innings; but those runs that Mike Jackson and Cliff Politte gave up really seem to hurt more. Those are the innings that lost us the game. -
Who's pumped about Munoz starting tomorrow?

The thing that's so frustrating about this is, I have so much optimisim about anyone coming up. I just keep hoping that one of these guys comes up and just throws a gem. Why can't we have a Dontrelle Willis in our organization? All these starters threw so well in ST or in the minors, and then they come up to bigs and completely forget what got them here. After tonight, we've seen our offense is NOT a problem. It's the pitching; we need a 5th starter, and possibly more bullpen help. I don't really trust anyone but Shingo and Damaso. -
Ex-nos vs Munoz & Sox Put it on the Board Yes!

Thankfully Milwaukee helped us out again; we're still only a .5 game back. -

All I can say is INSANE....It blows to lose a game like this, but damn to even think we had a shot is awesome. Our offense showed some major heart tonight. Munoz has to be the last straw; I expect KW to make a move for a 5th before the next time it comes up. This sucked to see how our offense was just fighting and fighting, and our pitching couldn't do s*** to keep us in it tonight. Nice job hitters though. -
Did anyone hear of anything happening to Frank yesterday? I was just looking at his numbers on ESPN.com and up at the top of his bio, in bold letters it says: "Questionable Sat. vs Mon. 6/19 (Ankle)" http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?statsId=4527

Born in Indiana, of course. Jim Davis, the creator, is from Muncie, Indiana.

I haven't collected in a while either, but I have over 250 Frank cards.....

A-Row's only had 17 AB's in the 2 hole; it's hard to use that as a CAREER stat. However, his numbers are pretty good in that spot. I enjoy rooting for the underdog, so I would love to see the Reds win the NL Central. I think it would be cool to see them pull it out after "the experts" thought there would be a tight race between the Cubs and Astros, and the Cards being close behind. I don't think they can do it, unless they get another starting pitcher. So I'll say the next best thing will win it, the Cards.

Crawford would be a huge pickup for the Sox; he could be that left handed bat that people have been talking about trading for. He's super-cheap, only making $320,000. He's batting .301, has an OBP of .341, and he has 29 SB this early into the season. I don't know his contract situtation after this year, but he would be a great guy to keep around.
