QUOTE(Whitewashed in @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 09:16 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not last year...f***ing Hunter... It was the sixth inning and the Sox tied it right after that with a homer from AJ. Riske is fine for a middle man like Luis Vizcaino. It just makes me shake my head that the Royals trade away Andy Sisco for a journey man first baseman when they had enough of them, and give a ton of money to Dotel and sign John Bale from Japan.

QUOTE(bigruss22 @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 09:14 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Riske looking really impressive, who wanted to offer him arb.? *raises hand* but I made it very clear I wanted him in what is now the Nick Masset role. There is also no guarantee that he would've accepted it.
-
The Royals just don't get it. Riske shouldn't be used after the 7th. Why not try and develop young pitching instead of signing stiffs?

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 09:06 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I haven't seen Thome hit a line drive up the middle in a long, long time. Yeah because that hit off Zumaya on Saturday was SOOOOOOOOOO long ago. /rolly

Thank you Darin. Should Buehrle go out there FTW?

QUOTE(greg775 @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 08:35 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Erstad wouldn't be as annoying if he batted ninth. I say our lineup should be Uribe Iguchi Thome Paulie Dye Crede Think Selig will let us rewrite the rule book for a six man lineup?

If the Sox had someone else leading off, there would have been a much better chance of the Sox leading the game. /just saying

Stoooopid home runs!!!

QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 08:25 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Remember when Darin Erstad hit a homerun...? ... remember when Darin Erstad hit... It was a fluke. Think he can go an entire month without an extra base hit?

Buck has been a monster against LHP this year.

QUOTE(greg775 @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 08:18 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Welcome to a new era. Your .500 White Sox. Looks like just an average team to me. ....and there's our three peat. Do you believe everything the Royals announcers tell you?

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 08:14 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And it was so. Thank you. I hope it isn't too difficult to merge threads.

QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 08:09 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This is such an exciting game, it has become another Erstad v. Anderson thread. Yippee!!! I really wish we had one stuck thread for it, just to see how big it would get. Heads? :

QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 08:04 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How is Buehrle looking tonight? Terrible. He gave up a hit. Anyone else notice the thread title? Nice try Knight

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 08:03 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm full of it because I think BA's terrible? Give me a break. No, you completely twisted the point after Balta showed the other greg that Anderson at some point in 2006 hit.
-
QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 07:57 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It sure did seem like he never hit anything. Though I would say 4 month of no hitting > 2 months of no hitting. I, and many others would say there are two gregs in this thread full of it. Only a matter of time before greg775 comes in here and in typical fashion kissing up the Royals making it a grand total of 3.
-
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 07:55 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What a crock. Post September, April, May and June. LET'S GO WHITE SOX RTFP "Anderson never hit last year." He hit in August and July.
-
QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 07:16 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Erstad's offense 2007 = Anderson's offense 2006 Actually, Erstad is worse. Anderson has better plate patience and hits for more power.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 07:43 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, I mean consecutive innings going back to the game before the no-hitter. 12 innings

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 03:26 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So far, decent but not great. 18 IP, 2.50 ERA, 20 H, 7 BB, 17 Ks. The WHIP sucks, but an ERA of 2.50 in that ballpark with a K/9 of 8.5 is impressive.

QUOTE(Alpha Dog @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 05:12 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Between the first and second garage breakin was when the handgun joined my house. I had a shotgun prior. The two car break ins and the first garage break in all happened within 2 weeks of each other. No shooting at people, to date. Also helps that I moved. I still have shotgun, Baretta and Sox giveaway bat all in my room, just in case, along with another Sox bat behind the coat rack downstairs. So you are admitting that the guns did not stop the crime, and that moving was more of a contribution than owning a weapon?
-
QUOTE(Alpha Dog @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 04:17 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In my 18 years as a homeowner, I have had my garage broken into twice, and my car broken into twice, and an apparent attempt at getting into the house once, evident by the huge scapes from some sort of tool around the deadbolt. And prior to that, 2 years of apartment living had a car break in and a break in across the hall from my apartment. ...and when did you decide to make a change in protecting yourself? After ALL of that happened? Or did you start taking a "Dirty Harry" approach in the middle of that sequence?

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 04:47 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh yeah, my car now is fully loaded and I couldnt have it any way. I love the IS, but if im going to get a car, its gotta be a coupe. SOmething about 4-doors makes me cringe. Im just nervous of the snow. With salt, that nasty blck snow and lack of controll, I can't see any reason to drive a coupe in the snow. If you get something like that make sure you have something else to drive for the other 4-6 months of the year.

QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 08:49 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Byrd beat Contreras, the best pitcher in baseball, in the 2005 playoffs. Kennedy looked like a stud when he was coming up in TB, b4 getting lost in Colorado. Tejeda at least has good stuff. Carlos Silva has had stretches in the last five years that he was VERY good, but not as much recently. Gaudin is a classic 5th starter, but he's not horrible either. Will people please STFU about Byrd against the Sox in Game 1 of the ALCS? During the regular season of 2005 he was rocked by the Sox, and in the game 5 clincher he only went 4.2 innings. It should aslo be mention how the Sox were currently on an 8 game winning streak (4 of these streaks, never hit 9 in 2005,) had 3 off days, and Angels were high on adrenaline or cocaine.
