By waiting for other teams to make moves, it affects the market. The Mets and Reds have been f***ing up the market for pitchers, and Beltran could control the market for free agent outfielders. Artero Moreno signing Carlos Beltran could affect how much KW pays Hidalgo or Dye.

I would just like to read what you think what would've happened to the Sox if they fired Manuel after the All-Star break. Playoffs? ALCS? World Series? KW felt that the team he put together could've gone deep into the playoffs. I bet you think KW is stupid for saying that, yet you can even give me a simple answer as to how far you think the Sox would've gone under a manager other than Manuel for the second half of 2003. Personally, I felt they could've made it to the ALCS because they would've played the Yanks in the first round, and the Sox dominated the Yanks in 2003.
