  1. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/columns/stor...yson&id=1944083 To which this dumbass Cubs fan as NSBB replied with: :dips*** I know making Wood a closer is stupid because he walks a ton of guys, and I recall him getting roughed up in the first inning, but Kerry Wood is a "dominant starter" who is capable of going at least 7 strong every time he's on the mound? Yeah okay pal. :rolly :fthecubs
  2. How long do the Yankees have to make a decision on whether they wish to keep Wright or not?
  3. Except Javy had better numbers than Pavano before going to New York. 2003 wasn't Javy's only good year. Pavano on the other hand......
  4. Why would anyone here be satisfied with the Sox giving that kind of money to a one year wonder?
  5. What the f***? Are the Red Sox going to try and buy everyone on the market this offseason?
  6. and we would have RANDY JOHNSON as our ACE.
  7. Yeah it was Gord "dumb" Ash who made the Wells trade.
  8. God, that would be a horrible trade for the Scrubs. DO IT JIM!!! :fthecubs
  9. I googled it, and checked the Yankees message board, and I don't see anything about Wright failing a physical. :fyou George Ofman http://msn.foxsports.com/story/3237282
  10. Unless they know something we don't know. Wells-Sirotka part II?
  11. He's a former flub prospect that was ROY. When I ask scrub fans to name some position players they have developed over the past decade (because they rip on our farm system) the only names they can mention are Patterson, Choi, and Hinske. That's pretty pathetic. :fthecubs
  12. Batista signed a 3 year deal last year and I recall a report that said he recieved a two year deal from the Sox. I wouldn't mind getting him, but he fell apart last year and Toronto made him the closer. He pitched very well both times against us last season.
  13. LOL! I thought Jon Garland would be considered a "top-of-the-rotation starter!" Just ask some of the posters here. He can win 18 games at any moment, a guarantee to win 12, and he's only 23, I mean 24, wait, 25 years old. :rolly
  14. Detroit is so desperate to sign a free agent. I wished Juan Gonzalez would've accepted their 7 year $140 million deal back in 2000, then they would've really been f***ed. I see that they also declined Matt Anderson's $6.25 Million option. Tigers :dips***
  15. Good riddance. I'm looking forward to potentially facing Arthur "Rocky" Rhodes 19 times next year.
  16. Yeah I questioned that too, but it was from rotoworld. Is Renetria even worth $8 million per?
  17. http://www.sportsline.com/mlb/teams/report/CHW/7968588 This is from December 6th, but they mentioned a name that noone else has mentioned yet. Can we really afford to give up Joe Borchard? :rolly
  18. Boston is willing to go as high as 4 years $40 million, and you want the Sox to get involved? We don't have that much more money to spend.
  19. I saw that too. I hope the Tigers make that trade because Maroth pitches very well against us.
  20. and despite playing through an injury or f***ed up mechanics, and in NEW YORK, Vazquez was able to put up similar or even better numbers than Garland last season. I would love to see Jon pitch in the bronx and use that "had Jeter not made that error in the third, the game would've still been 4-4" excuse.
