Yeah, I almost had to shield my eyes when I first saw it. On another note, I had my first game for one of my summer leagues tonight. It's a 16-19 year old league and I'm only 15 right now. I turn 16 in a little over a month. I did okay considering I saw 80 MPH fastballs compared to about 60 MPH which was about average for freshman ball, and the game ended in an 8-8 tie due to darkness. It was a back and forth game all night and two costly errors by our team caused the tie.

I can somewhat relate to your experience with lack of baseball knowledge. Coming home from my baseball game tonight, I was in a van full of 7 Cubs "fans". I was the lone Sox fan and heard all about how the Sox are only in first because their division sucks and all that s***. One of the stupid things was a kid argued with me that Borowski is on the DL, he insisted that Joe was not on the DL. Also, they said Hideki Matsui was being traded to the Cubs, and how a potential trade of Vlad and Vidro for Sammy was a bad move. Also, they said Griffey was on the DL and hit his 500th home run last season. I also got punched and abused with parental consent for being a Sox fan and cheering when the Cubs lost. Another thing that is not baseball related was one kid claiming how Diet Coke and regular Coke were the same exact thing.

Sounds fun. I've always wanted to go to Safeco, it looks like an awesome ballpark. I'm sorry you had to witness Botch's implosion in person. :puke

Good game tonight. I only saw the last 10 minutes because that is when I got home, but it was great. I love watching deciding games in any sport.

Every Cubs-Sox series comes down to who wants it more. Say all you want about the Cubs starters, but our top four guys are just as good as their top four guys and if we get Garcia, our starting staff is just as good. I am shocked that some of you, cough brando cough, think we will win only one game. Even PoppyHidalgo would predict us winning at least two. The Sox always play well against the most talented teams.

I was actually watching this kid play a week or so ago when OSU played Texas on FSN. I was impressed and hope he can turn into a good pick.
