How about you shut up? I said "I wouldn't like to see Olivo gone". BUT if Beltran agrees to sign a long term contract, and not just be a rent a player for the stretch run, I wouldn't mind the trade. Beltran is not overrated. He is a five tool player, I love those type of guys. Olivo is gonna be good, but Beltran is even better. Edit: After seeing some of Beltrans stats for the year, I'm not so sure any more. Finley would be a better option if we could get him for less.

I played Leftfield for my HS team, so I think I know a little more about catching flyballs than you. It is IMPOSIBLE to catch the ball at one point when the ball is DIRECTLY in the sun. IMPOSIBLE! And yes, it would be easier to hit a 90 mph fastball or throw a breaking ball 2-0 than it is to catch a ball that is IMPOSIBLE TO CATCH. The ball is only directly in the sun one in every 200 flyballs during a MLB game, but it happens a whole lot more in parks where I play where there is no UD and few night games so we play around 6:00 which is the worst time for sun interference, as you should know if you've ever been to a 6:00 start for a Sox game or even being in LF for BP.

When is the last time you fielded a mile high fly out with the sun in your eyes? It is IMPOSIBLE when the ball is in the right spot, and all the fielder can do is hope that it falls in his glove because you cannot see it. It is simply imposible, and shouldn't be an error. If a pitcher makes a mistake, it's not because he couldn't see the catcher, and when a batter strikes out, it's not because he couldn't see the ball.
