Derick Lee over Carlos. What a biased list. And they listed Piazza and Jeter in front of Jason Giambi?!

If you can tolerate one more rumor...

Isn't that four players already, (1)Perez, (2)Mota, (3)a pitching prospect, and (4)Jackson or Miller. Anyways, I would not like to see Maggs go, especially when all we get in return are pitchers who have not proven to be consistent at a major league level. -
NICE job by putting it all on one window be good. You are the opposite of a spammer.
-
lol, me too. I thought it was going to be about a stupid law suit filed against them or something.
-
We will be bringing in new players by the end of July, not trading away. The season hasn't even started and you are already talking about who should be traded first?! This is a stupid thread.

I'm going for the first time, and I will just be looking for something fun to do. I hope it won't be a waste of money and time, because I only really need Loaiza's autograph to have most of the team, so I won't be spending all day in lines. The Q&A should be interesting though.

Thanks for the information. I would like to listen in on that KW interview as well, and see the facial expressions when he gets hammered with harsh questions.
-
I didn't hear you say that about three a week. That would work out fine with me.
-
How do you get into the Q & A sessions? Does it come with the hotel package or something?
-
I agree, 11 is too late for me. I have a routine of going to bed at 10:30 every night and I'm sticking with it. What ever happened to the Sunday night thing?

Maybe I can sell the White Sox on eBay, but if not me, please JR!

That is exactly what he was doing. They even had his girlfriend on the show. She is like 25 years old. It was a nasty picture that ran through my mind. -

I'm sick of it and I wasn't even here for the first eight months of it. Why is it so famous? -
Manning, even though he's never won anyting. Brady is a little over rated IMO. He did win a super bowl, but his career numbers aren't all that great.

Oh yeah, and :fthecubs

Cowardly Cubs throw sucker punch You do your job, without watching the clock or longing for vacation time, because you love what you do and you're damn good at it. Those long hours behind the scenes don't matter, nor the lack of media attention. You'd work for free, if you didn't have a wife and two children. That was Dave Tumbass in seven seasons as the Cubs head trainer. Thee players appreciated his genuine caring and medical expertise, and that meant more than any paycheck, corny as it sounds. They gladly trusted him with their careers. During Chicago's National League Championship Series with the Florida Marlins, Tumbas was jokingly referred to as the team MVP because of the personalized attention he and assistant Sandy Krum gave to every player, super star or scrub, from Day 1 of Spring Training. They had prepared the Cubs, physically and nutritionall, for the 162-game grind through April's frigid cold, rain delays, and July's searing heat. But then, all trainers do, so why thump your chest in public? But this, the Highland grad never saw coming. The news knocked him to his knees, stunned and deeply hurt. It left his elderly parents so upset, they still don't have the heart to discuss it with him- or publicly. Dave Tumbas never expected to be fired after the 2003 season. Why? For What? Tumbas isn't talking. His home phone number in Mt. Lebanon, Pa. is still unpublished. There was never a reason given for his termination. "Ask Jim Hendry" said the parents, unable to hide their disgust with the Cubs organization. I called to general manager twice this week and was told he's out of his office. Knowing the Cubs' out-of-state media bias, that could've meant he was in the hallway having a smoke. This is so like the Cubs and their mother Tribune Company. They pack the ballpark, win or lost, and still have the gall to run ticket scams while threatening high-rise owners along Sheffield, Waveland, and Addison Avenues with lawsuits and outfield screens to impair the view inside Wrigley Field. Regarding Dave Tumbas, for those of you with any kind of conscience, here is what I believe happened. Manager Dusty Baker, facing his second season now, wanted to bring in "his own guy". And so the Cubs hired Dave Groeschner, 32, as their new head trainer- a promotion, in fact. Groeschner worked for the San Francisco Giants, where Baker previously managed. Ah, the good ol' boy network is alive and well. Tumbas, meanwhile, is sending out resumes, hoping to catch on with another Major League team before the start of Spring Training. He also continues worrying about his mother, who has been battling health problems and had recently been hospitalized. Counting time in Pittsburgh, Tumbas has spent 22 of his 44 years patching up bodies for someone else. No telling how long it will take now to patch up his. I think people find out who are the best and most knowledgable posters very quickly. I also found out soon who the worst posters were and it didn't really bother me, but apparently it does bother some people. I guess if people wanted to have a lot of posts and they were competing against someone who writes short responses, they would be mad. But, it doesn't really bother me.

Trump is negotiating to buy a sports franchise
whitesoxin' replied to suffering-nomore-sox fan's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Donald Trump is on "Good Day Live" on Fox right now. He has said nothing about buying a sports franchise....yet. -
I showed my friends the "Hot Chick Thread" and they sometimes go on. And about the spamming, why does it matter if people spam, because it's not like you win a prize for the most posts or anything. So why is it such a big deal?

JOE BOROWSKI!!! And you thought it was old Greg.

Blackhawks....I just can't watch hockey. It sure is fun to play though, and going to the games. -
I agree with all that you said except for the friends part. I can't not be friends with some people just because they are Cubs fans. Two of my best friends are true Cubs fans and I'm a die hard Sox fan, and we're still friends. We both respect the other teams, but inside we are hoping the opposite team chokes. It is fun to argue about whos better once in a while too. You shouldn't make friends based on what baseball team they root for, unless they are obnoxius losers, in which case you shouldn't be friends with them.

Cubs make offer to Maddux

Who cares? And why is this in "Pale Hose Talk"? Don't take any offense, SFF, I was just sayin it would be better suited for the Sports Bar because I'm sick of people talkin about the Cubs and how great they are in "Pale Hose Talk" -
I just want to know, when the season rolls around, are people still b****ing all the time? I have never been on here for an actual game and is it as bad as it is now?
-
WTF? Even if this guy was dirt poor, which I doubt, why would people spend over $500? That is insane, but I agree with SNB, that wendy's straw is exceptional.
