HS tryouts start March 1 here. We just started conditioning last week. I play catcher, pitcher, and a little left infield when needed. Hopefully I'll make it cause we got 60 freshman trying out for 16 spots on the freshman team. And a little league team from our town won state a few years back, and most of the kids from that team are in my grade, so there is a lot of talent. I was about two weeks too old to play on the state champions all-star team. Hopefully all of us at Soxtalk can make it.

For the T-Shirt, maybe you could put that new logo and a black trim on the arms and neck? I think that would look cool and fit in with the cursive writting and all.

The Cheat

MVP comes out March 9. That day can not come soon enough. What I'm playing now is MOH:Rising Sun, which is a little weak, and some GT3. I am looking forward to MVP because I haven't gotten a real good baseball game in a few years.

People seem to be forgeting Comerica. That is a very nice ballpark. Every seat faces the field, they have statues of Tiger greats on the concourse, and a great resteraunt down the left field line for rain delays, because there was a 2 hour rain delay when I was there. I still like the Cell better for biased reasons.

Their rotation got it done last year, but my main point was that the Royals have done the most this offseason of all the teams in our division.

The Royals I believe look the best on paper, just because they have added a lot over the winter, guys like Gonzo, Graff, and Sullivan, while the Sox and Twins have done nothing but hurt themselves.

It said in the ESPN article about them being the worst franchise that the team only turned a $1 million profit last year. That is unbelieveable for a major sports franchise.

Koch lost 7 MPH off of his fastball. That is what I meant. A power pitcher cannot lose 7 mph and be the same pitcher. Nor can he gain it back in one offseason. Griffey is "due" for another great year because if he didnt get hurt at all for one whole season, he would put up huge numbers. That is a risk I'm willing to take, because Konerko and Koch are prone to injury too, and the upside for Griffey is way more than Koch and Konerko.

If only this deal could go through. Griffey is due for another great year, Koch will never be the same, and it's not like Konerko will stop being slow and grounding into double plays.

I am with you. What would be so bad about 2 guys at first in the National League and no DH's because there are no DH's in the NL. What is he trying to say.

What a crazy ending in Ann Arbor. Purdue took the lead with 7 seconds left and then Michigan drove coast to coast and Courtney Simms tipped it in at the buzzer. Purdue came back from 16 down late and fell just short.

I haven't caught the Family Guy fever yet, probably because I don't have the dvds. Simpsons are still my favorite, but I never watch on Sunday's anymore because they really lack the humor and now try to deal with current events, which aren't funny.

Maybe a virus is sweeping across Valpo, because my computer crashed a few weeks ago. I have rarely been on, only when my mom can check out a laptop from her work, and when we get one, we can only rent it for 3 days. My uncle who fixes computers for a living, is having troubles fixing it so I know it's probably done for.
