You know, when I first saw this topic I made up my mind to stay out of it but I cant do that any longer. Rafacosta, for you to sit there all smug and happy in Brazil and dare to lump me in with a bunch of stupid jackasses who got their jollies doing the same type of s*** to Iraqi's that Saddam did is beyond ludicrous, even for your small mind. Who the f*** are you to judge me? What those soldiers (and I use that term loosely) did was inexcusable and contrary to what the United States believes in. I firmly believe that what happened there and in the British sector down south were isolated cases where stupid INDIVIDUALS decided that what they were doing was funny. I am a strong advocate of using modest forms of physical abuse (i.e. sleep/sensory deprivation or perhaps firing a weapon close to someone like that Battalion Commander did a few months ago) but only when it's needed to extract time sensitive information that will save lives. Torturing and humiliating people like they did for no other purpose aside from personal amusement is wrong no matter how you cut it. There will be an investigation, there will be courts martial and then those guilty will spend some time in Levenworth reaping exactly what they have sown.
