US vetoes UN resolution against Yassin's assassin
NUKE_CLEVELAND replied to KipWellsFan's topic in SLaM
If they mounted an operation to capture the guy then I guarantee you there would have been a bloodbath in the streets & a lot more innocent people would have died than 2. -
You know what a big reason is that jobs are being shipped overseas? It's because employee benefits cost a s***load of money and that cost rises every day. I've read articles in various business magazines where various employers talk about that subject & according to them if you take a workers salary and double it then you have the true cost for them to employ that person. Meanwhile you have people running to the doctor every time they sneeze twice or if they stub their toe. I'm not saying that everybody abuses their medical benefits but there are a great deal of people who do and all those doctor visits aren't free. They cost money and eventually when employers can't make a profit they pick up and move elsewhere.

Well said. -
Or the thousands upon thousands of people he employs? Yeah, he's a real rotten bastard huh?

I was thinking about the 15k a year give or take that the government considers poverty, but then if you have anything that someone else doesn't then you are a bad person according to half the people around here.

DING DING DING!!!!!! Right you are. Personal responsibility has gone the way of the dinosaur in this country and you can blame liberals for it. They have planted this notion in peoples heads that government needs to hold their hand from cradle to grave. You mention Social Security? Take the average payroll deduction for that massive boondoggle and invest it properly (Southsider can back me up here ) and instead of a meager, bare bones existence monthly check you'd be a millionaire sipping cocktails on a beach somewhere and to those who fail to take initiative and prepare for old age I have no sympathy. That being said, I honestly feel that there will be no SS when I reach retirement age and I want to be that guy sitting on the beach with the cocktails so I'm saving all I can now. Remember the story of the Ant and the Grasshopper? The very words I live by.

We should vote for Bush because this country needs his leadership. Bush acted swiftly and strongly in the face of the most massive attack ever carried out on U.S. soil. He used swift and decisive military action to oust the government harboring the group responsible and as a result all the major players are either dead, captured or in hiding. Everybody blames Bush for the economic problems we've been having but those same people fail to mention that the recession we had started officially 2 months after Bush took office. That's how the business cycle works. Adding to this, and seriously compounding its effect, was the attacks of 9-11 and the subsequent anthrax scare. It has taken time but now the economy is on the right track and getting stronger all the time. Now that things are truly taking a turn for the better in this country there's no reason to make a change now.

Did he protect us or was he fortunate to not have anything happen on his watch? Oh wait WTC 1993 KOBHAR Towers 1996 Embassy bombings 1998 USS Cole 2000 While all this was going on he slashed the budgets of the CIA and slapped all sorts of new restrictions on their activity, dismantled 8 full active Army Divisions and god knows what damage he did to the rest of the military. Yeah, his record of protecting the homeland is nothing less than stellar. Try again

I almost feel bad for the Juggernaut formerly known as the Royals because they have fallen victim to the most infamous curse of em all. THE CURSE OF ESPN'S PRAISE!

How does that old saying go........ Oh yeah. Some people are only alive cause it's illegal to kill them. His 2 fine sons are both dead & he's out of power and thouroughly humiliated though which , for him, is a fate worse than death

I dont give a damn. Anybody who parades around the streets of a major city holding up signs that say NYC was better off after 9-11 or anything that can be construed as taking the side of terrorists over our own president is going to draw not only the ire of me but a whole lot of people. CW I know you're a raging lefty but I dont think you fall into that camp......do you?

If you are above the federal poverty line the left will consider you "rich".

This guy amazes me. I'm sure he's old enough to remember the gas lines & the double digit inflation & interest rates & high unemployment. The situation we had going on back then makes the recession we just came out of look like peanuts. Of course that certain someone who got elected in 1980 and fixed all that will never get credit from the left because he's the only man in the world who is reviled as much as Dubya is with them.

Yeah, I'd really feel comfortable with Dean's endorsement if I was Kerry. Here's Dean on one of his better days courtesy of APU.
-
We have to make sure not to hit the Burger King and the local 7-11 in my neighborhood aside from that everything is fair game. Seriously though, just because I think more problems could be solved by force of arms than not doesn't mean I'm out to annihilate the planet.

No. We hate them for their point of view. Freedom of speech means I get to criticize these anti-american assclowns as much as I want to.
-
I couldn't. They all have jobs to go to.

I dont think rink size has that much to do with it. What they need to do is crack down on the oversize equipment all the goalies wear nowadays. When I look at todays goalies and compare them to footage of the 70's or 80's the difference in size of equipment is visibly clear.
-
YES! That's what I'm talking about. If they stay with it and keep wasting anyone who has the stones to try and take charge of these people they can cripple their operations.
-
HAHAH!!! That was good but I saw a better one in the latest issue of Soldier of Fortune that had a "Kerry for President........of France" If I can get it on digits I'll post it here.

The New Official Post a Pic of Yourself Thread
NUKE_CLEVELAND replied to Chisoxfn's topic in How Does That Work?
This is one of me 10 days after getting back from Iraq. -
When the Challenger blew up I was sitting in my second grade class at Pasteur Elementary School on the SW side watching it happen live on TV. When I first learned of 9-11, I just came back from doing some shopping, walked inside, flipped on the TV and just stood there aghast as there was a big plume of smoke blanketing Manhattan.

The Isrealies ( and just about every other major player in the world for that matter ) have been trying to resolve this problem peacefully for years and to no avail. The only thing these Palestinian people understand is violence so it seems to me that the way to beat them is to terrorize them more than they can terrorize Isreal. That's why these helicopter attacks on top terrorist figures are so effective. Despite all their bluster they realize that they will be killed if they make too much trouble.
