Apparently one Slackhawk fan wasnt too pleased with the team snatching defeat from the jaws of victory the other night against the Oilers. Their pathetic "Power Play" unit gave up 2 short handed goals in less than a minute. Towards the end of the game with the Slacks losing 4-3 after owning a 2-0 lead in the first period and not putting up any kind of effort to tie the game up, a disgruntled fan took his jersey off and threw it on the ice. I know the weather was bad but there were only 5000 souls in the UC and those that were there booed constantly after Edmonton took the lead in the 3rd period. I know management doesn't give a s*** about the fans but thats a pretty bold statement by the home "crowd".

I bought a DVD Burner/player, made by sony, and have been using it to burn my old video tapes onto DVD. Trouble is that the only place where those burnt DVD's will play is on the burner/player itself. The burnt DVD's wont work on my laptop or my X-Box. Is there any reason for this and more importantly, is there any way to rectify this problem. Thanks in advance.

Bo Jackson was awesome while he was here. I remember hom quite fondly and he did get plenty of love from Sox fans during his stay here. I dont think he was unsung at all.

Back in the late summer 2002 there was a big civil war on WSI because the mods got out of control with their abuse of power. A lot of the heavy hitters got pissed off at them and defected and Soxnet.net really picked up steam as a result. Thanks to the Mods here for providing a place where us rabid, opinionated and not always tactful sox fans can express themselves without fear of being banned for trivial reasons.

I want the mainstream sports press to disrespect us. I want them to not think we are s***. Let em go on thinking that so it'll maybe motivate the guys and force ESPN to eat their f***ing words when the Chi Sox start demolishing their darlings (Red Sox, Spankees, etc etc.).

On WSI what thread is NOT tedious? The mods shove a leash up peoples ass so nobody can say anything unless its approved by the WSI Gestapo (Daver, phg whoever ) Daver himself is an arrogant tool. f*** him. He thinks he's god or something cause he has a little power over a message board.

In baseball its all about getting hot at the right time. But the Critic and a few others were right on the button. Once you get in the records are all 0-0 and its time to play. In our case we need to come out of the gate in April and play like we have a f***ing purpose. If we come out motivated and hit the ground running I think that'll more than make up for any of the small deficiencies this team has right now.

I said season 3 simply because of that one episode where the old guy goes to whack out some punk that nailed a friend of the family. He was coughing constantly, couldn't walk up the stairs without coughing up his lungs. Barely gets the job done cause he cant hold the gun straight, then dies of a heart attack on the way back home. Too funny!!!!

What we need is a 4th starter and possibly some middle relief help. Aside from that we really have a strong team and IMO we dont really need anymore. The offense from top to bottom is powerful as hell and we have 3 quality starters. Where else are we weak besides what I mentioned?

This is a great move by KC. They arent on the hook for a long term deal or a lot of money and there is nowhere to go but up.

They deserve it. You cant mail in a game like the last week of the season cause you have zero momentum going into the playoffs.

I died laughing when I first saw that and rewound it like 6 times before it finally died down. I only mention this to spice up the poll a bit. I voted Yuck BTW.

Ventura defenitely was up there with Sirotka. You know why Ventura was unsung? Because he didnt make a big spectacle of himself, he just went out there and laid his heart out on the field day in and day out.
