  3. Bitter Flubs fans who voted for Liriano out of spite can eat s*** also.
  4. MY AFTERNOON WAS NOT WASTED!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
  5. QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 05:31 PM) Who should go from the NL?? While I was voting for AJ, I also voted for Nomar. Why were you wasting time clicking on an NL candidate?
  6. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 05:04 PM) Polls are closed. I did my best, lets hope we got this done. I had a half day from work so I voted my ass off most of the time. Id say I got between 500-600 in this afternoon alone. Maybe 1000 overall.
  7. QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 08:39 AM) I'm referring specifically to the battery packs that are about 7k, a piece that will eventually need to be replaced. That, or throw away the car and get a new one. From a forbes article: "A 30% fuel improvement from a hybrid truck, which at one time Chrysler (nyse: DCX - news - people ) talked about, would bring the big trucks up to 20 to 21 miles per gallon. On a large pickup or SUV, that means savings of $300 to $400 per year (based on driving 12,000 miles per year) on a system that might cost $3,000 to $5,000 to install. But GM says even this really doesn't happen, not if the hybrid version is made to perform as well as the conventional vehicle in things like towing capacity." My non-hybrid Jeep Cherokee gets 21 MPG on the highway ( about 95% of my driving is highway ) so where is my incentive to buy a hybrid?
  8. QUOTE(Julius_Seizures @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 02:55 PM) Hacksaw Jim Dungan and The Brooklyn Brawler! LOL! I forgot all about the Brawler. Did he EVER win a match or did he just go in there to get beat up every time?
  9. Hopefully we wont get caught looking ahead to the Boston series coming up next. RIP EM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. The Pen was an issue as soon as it became clear Politte was not the same pitcher he was last season but now with the addition of Riske and Thornton coming into his own, our pen is stacked!
  11. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 12:17 PM) I have my radio set up with an auxilary input and it sounds awesome. That FM Transmitter s*** it for the birds. But built into the car would be cool too. What kind of car? The only time I have trouble with the FM transmitter is when Im in downtown Chicago. Everywhere else I go I dont have any issues with it at all.
  12. http://www.cnn.com/2006/LAW/07/06/gay.marriage.ap/index.html NY's Supreme Court denies homosexuals the right to get married and Georgia's ban is upheld.
  13. Im voting Politte. I think he can send over a bunch of clips from 2005 and make up some BS story about him "just needing a little tweaking of his delivery" or something. I think Montero is a keeper.........at least for now.
  14. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 12:02 PM) I really would like to listen to some Sox talk here...but its f***ing horrific. I hope that the satellite companies can come up with a good way to do some local talk. That would really make regular radio useless. Once you listen to music all the time with no commercials or only 5 minutes per hour on Stern and then turn this on, you want to rip your head out. Radio helps my day go by at work, so I really get into it. Im totally with ya on that one. You get kinda spoiled because if you like a certain genre all the stations are close together. Me, Im always bouncing back between 19 and 23 ( Leave out 22 because it blows ass ) and there's always something good on. If I need news I hop over to CNBC or Fox News and get the audio feed from the TV channel. Listening to local radio you're lucky if you get 20 minutes of actual content for every hour.
  15. When I was growing up my fav was Hacksaw Jim Duggan with Junkyard Dog as a close second. Hacksaw gets the nod cause he always used to crack me up with that whole HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO routine of his. I also used to love it when Jesse the Body and Vince McMahon used to announce the matches. Ventura always was like "LOOK HERE McMAHON!!!"
  16. QUOTE(knightni @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 11:56 AM) Hawk always allows DJ to do some PBP every game. Usually later in the game. Maybe DJ's going longer because Hawk's busy "down the hall" so to speak. LOL! Either that or he's sippin on some JD and needs a minute to collect himself.
  17. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 09:36 AM) Yeah, he can't come in and throw 2 fastballs and a curve everytime to get the out. His 'Joe Morgan Way Too Fast Slider' and curve need to make more of an appearance on the first pitch. I noticed that he drifted away from the offspeed stuff during that brief period when he was getting hit yesterday. Once he went back to the hammer on 0-1 0-2 he Ked 2 batters in a row. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 11:46 AM) That's Roberto Jenks. Vowwy Yenks.
  18. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 11:55 AM) Someone might get a kick out of this...I'm really bored at work today. Here is a an e-mail I sent to the Score...basically to see what kind of response I would get. My subject was 'My Favorite Score Programming'. It must be your non-stop commercials. I have been without my Sirius radio the last two days, and I have been stuck listening to terrestrial/horrible radio. My favorite is when you guys come back from a commercial, talk about an upcoming segment, do a live commercial, and then go back to recorded commercials. Nice work. I can't wait until Sirius finds a way a do some local sports talk, and I will never listen to your s***ty channels again. Tony Ive had my SIRIUS for 5 months now and I don't think I'll ever be able to drive my car without it ever again. ITS THAT GOOD!
  19. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 08:38 PM) Hybrids will be an answer, at some point soon. The price differential for manufacturing over a regular engine is going down (as with all new technologies), and the price of gas is going up. By some calculations (depending on what cars you compare, etc.), some changeovers are already down to 3 years for net savings. For others, its still 6 or 8. Give it a year or two, and it will be a viable option by all accounts. Out here in the corn belt ( Kansas ) gas is holding around 2.80-2.85 depending on where you go. I only fill up my Cherokee twice a month though so Im still not feeling much in the way of pain.
  20. KC has a 4-3 lead late on Minny for anyone who cares. EDIT: Make it a 6-3 lead. Minny about to lose 2 of 3 to Kansas s***ty. LOL!! Welcome back to playing the American Leauge.
  21. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 09:34 PM) Absolutely froze him one over the inside half. Baaaaaaaad Bobby Jenks! That curve ball was totally filthy!!!! WOW!!!!
  22. EAT s*** ORIOLES!!!!!! THAT'S 2 OF 3 YOU LOST TO US SO FAR AND WE AINT DONE WITH YOU YET!!!! GARLAND WITH A VERY 2005ish PERFORMANCE TO GET THE WIN!!!! OFFENSE GETS A FEW IN THE 1ST AND THAT'S ALL JONNY NEEDS GREAT GAME TO GO WITH YESTERDAYS BLOWOUT!!!!! LETS FINISH THE SERIES TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!! GIMMIE A HELL YEAH!!!!!
  23. Damn, I turn the game on and it's already 3-0 with the bases juiced for Uribe. LOL! Our offense is just totally awesome right now.
  24. QUOTE(Twins Win @ Jul 4, 2006 -> 01:08 PM) I was wishing you luck because I was just being nice. I'm not going to get too excited about the way the Twins have played until they're about 2 games back. Its gotta suck for you guys to have won as much as you have lately and still be looking up at a huge defecit in the standings.
