QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Jun 25, 2006 -> 07:09 PM) They have some intelligent fans over on NSBB.com. I almost feel sorry for them. Almost. Most of em are kool-aid drinking trolls.

QUOTE(TimB @ Jun 25, 2006 -> 07:07 PM) You've got to be kidding me. ESPN decided to air Yanks-Marlins instead of Sox-Astros. This is bs. Depends on where you are. Most of the country is getting Sox Astros. If you're on the East Coast or the Southern states I think you're screwed though. Alright chat heads...............lets get this party started!!!!! Why the f*** does this toolbox keep calling him Ozzie Smith?

Well, its Sox/Astros here in Kansas. THANK GOD!!! GO SOX!!!!!

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jun 25, 2006 -> 03:41 PM) So, in the last two games, the Cubs' offense has been shut down by a guy named Boof, who had an era over 5 before yesterday, and Radke, who's era was 5.84 coming into today's game. Make that 18 games below .500. It's gonna be a nice little battle between them and the Pirates for worst record in the NL. Only thing funnier than watching the Flubbs get shutout for the second day in a row is reading the reactions of their fans on northsidebaseball. LOL!!

QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jun 25, 2006 -> 03:32 PM) The Cubs score less than Richard Simmons scores with women. Yeah, and they get scored on more than a bimbo in a bar after a couple of roofies.

LMFAO!!! Not even D-Lee can save these sorry sops. Minnesota is hammering them 7-0 in the 8th inning.

QUOTE(DABearSoX @ Jun 25, 2006 -> 03:21 PM) Have any of the Sun Times heads spoken out about the incident.....how long is kotex boy's contract for.....I wonder if they keep him around for the controversy because if they think his pieces are informative writting they must be nuts Controversy sells newspapers so methinks you are right.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Jun 25, 2006 -> 03:13 PM) As funny as his pants-wetting and crying looks in print, it was 1000 times funnier on the radio this morning. He was on with some guy subbing for John Kincaid on ESPN Radio and he basically sounded like he was going to burst into tears at any moment. Then the host took calls and no matter what the caller said, the guy said "You bring up a very good point". It was excellent comedy for my Sunday morning. Little *** boy cant take it. He got totally punked by Ozzie and can't do a damn thing about it.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 25, 2006 -> 03:12 PM) Actually, to be accurate, you need to average 37,038 per game for a season to nose ahead of the 3 million mark for an 81 game home schedule, not 37,911. Going into tonight, we have an average of 35,125 through 39 games, so we need to get the average up 1913 more per game in the last 42 home games to get over 3 million. It's possible I think, but would be very hard to do. Dont forget though that the cold weather is behind us and we have what's shaping up to be an awesome race between us and the Tigers so I think it's entirely possible.

QUOTE(DABearSoX @ Jun 25, 2006 -> 03:08 PM) AHHH alright I catch your drift.....thats why I had to give a shout out to Windsor in the post..... my guess is the tigers fans posting on this bard are more like from the Farmington Hills, West Bloomfield, Auburn Hills types of areas.....very nice places Im with ya there. They have more arsonists in actual Detroit than they do computers.

If this thread stays around until the end of the season it could easily top 10000 posts.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 25, 2006 -> 02:50 PM) The difference between the Sox and Tigers are how each team has fared against KC/Cle. If we didn't play like crap against Cleveland and KC we'd have 60 wins right now and this discussion wouldn't even be happening.

QUOTE(GoRowand33 @ Jun 25, 2006 -> 02:32 PM) LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL read that last part about why he doesn't go into the clubhouse Its not only funny but he comes off as such a pussy when he says s*** like that. The f***** clearly got the worst of this latest exchange and as long as we're winning he can't say anything bad about us that will stick.
-
QUOTE(tigerfan @ Jun 25, 2006 -> 02:45 PM) That very well may be, but as of right now we own the best record in the majors. By a slim margin perhaps, but the best record nonetheless. Congrats on the best record. I think the reason people can rightfully say the Sox are a little better is because while we have identical records we have the edge head to head.

The only way something like this would affect a team in a negative manner is if this controversy was about one of the players. Since this is about a f***** columnist that is universally despised by the whole organization it has the effect of rallying the team around Ozzie. The boys close ranks around their manager and play that much harder for him.

QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jun 25, 2006 -> 02:02 PM) My favorite C LEE moment is when he got picked off of third base in the clutch when he could have been the winning run. That's good baseball! Acquiring C Lee would make the Tigers look like the 2000-2004 White Sox. There's a reason we got rid of his sorry ass.
