That's a matter of opinion... From the view here from Colorado where we have a professional hockey team, the Hawks do suck. Come on Konerko!

Apples and Oranges. Making the playoffs in hockey isn't remotely the accomplishment it is in baseball. In recent years, with baseball's expansion of playoffs and hockey's expansion of teams its grown closer but there's still no comparison. Not making the playoffs in hockey generally means you suck.

Given it's only 2004, that's a pretty damn depressing thought.

Only difference between White Sox and Blackhawks over the last 30 years is that the White Sox seem to be atleast trying to win. The Blackhawks are f***ing disgrace!

I'm trying to be optimistic. I appreciate you attempting to lift our spirits.

Somebody has to give me some real hardcore examples of when this franchise has actually patiently built for the future. I've been a fan of the Sox since Bill Veeck was in charge and our idea of building for the future is a white flag trade here and there. Over the last 30 years there has never been a TRUE committment to building from within. We have been the central player for 30 years in the whole concept of a rent-a-player.

If we can't be competitive against good teams, making the playoffs because our division sucks and then being immediately eliminated isn't my idea of progress. We are in a slump, which happens during the course of a year. Our history though gives us some excuse to be pessimistic.

Loiaza's pitching no worse than he has the majority of the season. Only difference now is that we're not scoring any runs.

When we play this crappy for extended periods, you have to start hoping that KW is more careful about ransoming our future. In times like these, its hard to believe that the future is now.
