Sox vs A's Game Thread
Is it just me or did Harden not even pitch that great. It seemed like we were getting good pitches to hit all night. Oh well, still in first and we have Prior Watch to look forward to for the next couple weeks.

Sox Audio Plus
When the SAP is on, it sounds like I'm listening to the U, only the picture isn't as fuzzy...wait, the TV just went nuts.

If they talked a little baseball, it might be semi-interesting. They are just bulls***ting about nothing. It's like a morning radio talk show being played behind a baseball game and it's actually quite distracting. I feel like I just cheated on Hawk and DJ.

Just checked the Trib website. The Prior Watch is not up yet. I'm sure they are working on it though. We can only hope.

Rick Ballou Show says
Beltran with the Astros... .264 average, 6 homers, 14 RBI's, 16 games. Yah, I'm sure he's the reason they suck. And all I know about Beltran being selfish is that he's been selfishly kicking our ass every time we play against him.

Rick Ballou Show says
Sorry, but your logic is goofy. First of all, if he were coming to us, what makes you think he'd be a cancer? Where in the past has he ever displayed being a problem? And just because he's got Boras as an agent, doesn't mean that he's a selfish player, and doesn't automatically prevent teams from success. Sure, ARod tied up the Rangers. But are you gonna tell us that the Marlins and Angels had nobody represented by Boras? If Beltran had no motivation to do anything here, why would he have any motivation to do anything in Houston or K.C.? But, he did just fine in those places, didn't he?

Updated Season Record
My eight game losing streak is finally over. I was at the Saturday sell out. My record for the season currently stands at 2-8. The other win was opening day. Considering how good the Sox play at home, that was a pretty unlucky streak I had going. I was afraid that I had to stop going.

As exciting as Takatsu's entrance is...
I agree that racism is still visible amongst the Asian community. But I don't think a simple gong has much to do with it. The gong is more of a harmlesss stereotype that any race deals with. I'm a white guy. Supposedly, white guys can't dance. Even if I could (I really can't), I couldn't see why any white person would have a problem with that stereotype. Now, there are offensive stereotypes, like those of Native Americans in old western movies that portray them as a bunch of yelling savages. And a team like the Cleveland Indians should be ashamed that their logo gives off that same perception. But I fail to see how a gong would cast a negative or silly portrayal of Asians. It's just a friggin gong people!

July 4th hangover? We need a game thread boyz
Wow, 5 lefties in the line-up. There's something I didn't think I'd see at the beginning of the season.

The White Sox and Seattle not done dealing?
My one concern is that I'm sure we aren't the only team in the Guardado bidding (that team on the northside should be interested). And with that being the case, we might be in the midst of a bidding war here. Seattle already showed in the Garcia trade that they aren't going to be had. I'd like to think that it would only be minor leaguers, but they might take some cheap major league talent as well (Crede?)

Everyday Eddie's stats. IP W-L SV ERA Ks BB 37.2 2-0 15 1.19 38 10 I can live with that.

Chicago lord of trade: Williams has Sox in hunt
After such a convincing argument, I guess I stand corrected.

Well, I'll have to agree with you on that. "I didn't know that I was brought here to hit" - The Choice

Myette = Blah. That trade was a wash. And Durham was gone at the end of the year anyway. You're not going to get a whole lot for a 2nd baseman with a mediocre glove when everybody knows you're not going to keep him anyway. It's like if we didn't sign Garcia at the end of the year, then that would be a bad deal on our end. And considering that Oakland didn't win a championship that year, a Durham rental sure didn't seem worth it. But that's just my two cents.

Score Confirms Garcia Deal
Does Ozzie's neice know any good relief pitchers?

Score Confirms Garcia Deal
This looks like a steal to me. I am not an expert on what the free agent market will be like this winter, but I feel like Freddy could have easily gotten more if he tested the market during the off-season. It's nice to see us finally keep a stud pitcher. Nice work KW! Have one on me.

This is all a test
Actually, if we lose on Sunday, we would lose the season series 2 games to 4. But hey, who's counting?

Cubs are bad, Sox are good.
You're livin' in the past man. :dips***

What the hell?
Can't they handle a little rain up there? We finally get to their crappy ass bullpen, had the beginnings of a rally, and they call the freaking game? This is further proof to my theory that Tom Skilling controls the weather. Tom Skilling works for the Tribune company. The Tribune company owns the Cubs. Cubs needed some help fending off a Sox rally, so Skilling send armageddon in a rain cloud. Damn that man! Damn, Damn, Damn!!!
