No, but I'd go 5 yr 65 mill or so. Sure its a chance, but he was absolutely monster last season. Put him in the Cell last season and he may just hit 60 hr's.
-
Remember, thats just whats being rumored. And I tend to agree, although Beltre is a phenomenal player and if he put up numbers like he did this past season (he's more then capable of it) then he's well worth the money.

Just wait, next I'll add the pocket protector to my wardrobe

2004 College Football Trash Talk Thread
Chisoxfn replied to The Bones's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I disagree. Washington is one of the better jobs in college football. Very nice area to live in and a good place to coach and they have a good tradition. -
One major different, Montreal hasn't been competing for a division title/wild card/world series year in and year out. So worse case play him and if you fall out of the race deal him for a ransom then or take your draft picks for him.
-
If Cora is moved he will play 2nd. But its pretty much a guarantee he'll play 1st. The Dodgers have also tossed out the idea of him playing 3rd but its just something they'll use for leverage with Boras and Beltre. Seems like they can get Koskie if they want him, but they still are trying to get Beltre and it probably means they miss out on the Koskmeister.

Haha, your onto me. But alas, nothing came to my mind
-
Hudson will have a pretty good middle infield though with Itzuris and Cora (assuming Cora stays).
-
Ya, thats why Hudson would look so freaking good at the Cell. And yes I would make that deal and I think Beane would have to consider it. One thing you have to watch out for is Jackson's arm. He's had some arm problems and while nothing has been serious, I wouldn't call him 100%. He's got some pretty explosive stuff though. Its just a bad move, no other way to put it, imo.
-
Its obvious too cause the front is stacked. If your going to run call a sweep play. If they are playing pass then go a draw play or straight up the middle. He doesn't do that. He also went with no back sets a few times on first down, once in the redzone and every single play resulted in awfulness. Two were sacks One was a pass for no gain that was half a step from being picked and taken all the way back. Not to mention calling all these slow developing plays when you have a s***ty oline. I was looking at the paper this morning while watching the game. 2nd worse in the NFL in scoring and I'd bet if you took away the defense and special teams scoring, they would be by far the worse in the NFL when it comes to pure offensive points.
-
Shea continues to show me that he's an inmbosile. (I probably botched that spelling). I should of just said moron. But he went right back to stupid play calls. No three step drops, no slants, didn't use Gage, and refused to give the Train much time.

I'd just go up to her and chat around. Depending on when you usually go in, if its during lunch, ask her if she'd want to grab some lunch during her lunch break. Lunch is an easy way to kind of get to know her and set up more of a real date. See that Alex...not one sarcastic remark
-
Don't look past Seattle, they weren't near as bad of a team as their record would indicate, imo. Plus they'll likely pick up two pretty good players this offseason.
-
As long as they somehow don't change their name to Los Angeles Angels.
-
Willie Harris (whom so many hate hear) is a better pickup then Perez. Harris is a good OBP guy, especially if he can build his average up and is an above average defensive second baseman with TONS of speed. Willie will prove himself if Ozzie gives him the op. I also think Willie will have to work his ass off because it sounds like he thinks he's the greatest player in the world (boy would that attitude be the exact opposite of how Hawk and DJ describe him; considering they say he's always so down on himself).
-
Well Angels too cause Beane is ripping apart the big three. Although Hudson is going to be a stud too.
-
Just to put it another way. What would you guys do if KW traded Buehrle (albeit he's under contract, but he's not as good of a pitcher either) for Jackson and Perez. I know I'd write a letter to JR with a pinkslip in it for KW, lol. I can't believe this trade. I'm sure Rotoworld will talk about what a great move it is for the A's too.
-
I find it hillarious that Beane is essentially over the long term picking Jason Kendall over Tim Hudson.
-
Choi is gone. He did lousy with the Dodgers. He would be a very good guy for the Sox to target if they move Konerko and they could get him relatively cheaply, maybe even Adkins, Diaz or Munoz and a midlevel prospect.
-
I told you. Houston cut him immediately after reports of him beating his wife broke out. They didn't want to keep him on the team due to that.
-
I think Beane rates Jackson above Bmac. Remember, Bmac is very well known by us but maybe not as much by other organizations. At the same time I'm also assuming Beane wanted him out of the AL. He's going to be outstanding in LA. Beane is a flipping moron. I know people will disagree with me, but he's made quite a few questionable moves as of late and his fascination with breaking up the big three is foolish. Just tell me when he finally gets the A's to a World Series...oh wait....its never going to happen Angels just became bigger favorites
-
If the Sox gave up the right guys I could see the Drays very interested. They probably will lose Huff so if they could get some good value for him they could have reason to do so. Although I highly doubt Huff is moved.
-
This is just the start of Beane's decline into mediocreness. Absolutely AWFUL move by the A's. And an absolutely fantastic move by Paul DePodesta. I guarantee you the Dodgers lock him up pretty quickly too. Him, Penny and Weaver gives the Dodgers a very good 1-3. I'm now thinking they may let Ishii go for pretty much nothing. But they still have to shore up one more rotation spot. DePodesta is doing a nice job. Hell, even the Kent signing is starting to fit in cause he's going to play first.
-
But look at some of those periphs. You don't give up fewer hits then innings pitched in Colorado without having some damn good stuff. He's got some things to work on, but get him out of Coors and you will see him take off.
