Someone wants to be a Bull?
I still say if they have a shot at Okafor that there is no way they should pass up on him. He's the best bigmen to come out of college since Tim Duncan and Elton Brand. Not saying he will be as good as one of those guys, but those are the exact type of playesr we need. Good all around players that can carry a team (oh ya...we had Brand ). Actually, I'd like to see the Bulls try to get Kenyon Martin in a sign and trade (not likely) and then add Okafor. Dump Chandler and just keep Curry and AD as the two real centers. Okafor is a hell of a powerforward or will be and Martin is a very good small forward (Once again, not all that likely, but go after guys like Kenyon and Kobe) and use Chandler, Crawford and a contract guy as bait. Then with your mid-level try to find your sg replacement (whether its Quentin Richardson, Manu Ginobli, Hedo Turkolu or anyone else out there willing to take the mid level). Hinrich Qrich Martin Okafor Curry With AD, Pargo (I really like Pargo...ever since he was a Laker), Dupree, Linton, and others coming off the bench. The bench may not be super strong (Name wise) but it would have some solid guys that would bust their asses and provide energy and good defense when they are out there.

Need a good laugh:
Well, to be honest, they would of taken the deal. They would lose two contracts at the end of the year and would then basically have nothing to worry about from the Arod deal. Just to nitpick

When they acquired Bryce Drew from the ROckets, like 4 years ago.

Someone wants to be a Bull?
I think that was somehow written into the deal, but I'm not positive on that. But I am positive this is the worse, most pathetic Bulls team I've ever seen. They freaking SUCK. They are the scum of the NBA and are god awful. Hinrich and a few of the DLers are about the only people deserving of a job in the NBA. Bunch of sorry asses. I puke every time I see Artest in Indiana. He was my favorite player on the Bulls and I was so pissed when they traded him for a sissy like Rose.

Comcast to pick up WGN-DTV
I think you can pick them up for as low as 1500-2000, could be lower. I know my dad got one a few weeks ago and I think it was about 2000. Its a tube tv, 40 inch...really good picture though. All depends, but their is stuff out there. I don't know what everyone elses cable runs, but my dad pays an extra 6.95 a month to have HDTV.

Here's the question, what team would be willing to take on Koch's contract. The only positive to his contract is that it isn't a long term deal. Whoever gets him, is rid of him at the end of the season? The Dodgers have some bullpen concerns (With Mota having arm trouble) but ya right, if they are going to add payroll, its going to be for a bat. I know the Reds need a closer, and they have some bad contracts so a deal with them is about the only one I could see involving Billy. Still, would anyone feel comfortable knowing that Marte is about our only proven reliever. Well, Wunsch has proven to be a good lefty specialist. This deal would definately show confidence in Politte, Adkins, and Tagaksu. And with Wright and Scho being inserted into the rotation (questionmarks) and a definate concern that Elo was more of a one year wonder, that pitching staff would have a whole lot of questionmarks. Then again, whose to say Koch will be any better then he was last year. I mean, there are quite a few people the Sox could get to put up a 4.5 ERA or so and that would be ligthyears better then what Billy did last season.

I like morse...if he can get more power out of his swing, he could turn into something. He is definately built unlike most shortstops.

If the Sox deal Koch, then I sure hope they plan on adding a quality reliever. I would of had no problem if the Sox unloaded Koch...heck for someone like Casey (Reds would of probably done a deal similar to that) and then move Konerko to someone like the Dodgers for Ishii or Perez (I fully believe they would do that deal). The Sox would then of cleared some salary (not much) but it would of been enough to sign Urbina, who I'd rather have then Koch. That isn't an option anymore though. However, if the Sox were to move Koch, then I'd think Konerko would be going somewhere as well, just my 2 cents. I think the Sox stand pat though.

Someone wants to be a Bull?
Its lottery protected I think. I'm pretty sure instead the Bulls give up 2 2nd rounders, but not positive on that.

I wonder if GLoad is having any what of an effect on this. I still wish the Sox could somehow land Nick Johnson or any other solid left handed hitting first baseman, because as much as I like Konerko, it would be a warm welcome to get a solid left handed bat in the middle part of the lineup. Jugger...my initial thought was KW was referring to Konerko. I wonder if the Sox would consider a Sean Casey/Danny Graves for Paul Konerko swap. I Think the Sox would add a few mill in payroll and the Reds have been doing all they can to give up Casey. The Sox get a left handed bat and Graves, who, when pitching in relief is wicked. There haven't been any rumors, but the move would make sense as it would fill two needs (Bullpen and a left handed bat). Casey makes 5.6 million this year. Last season he hit .291 with a .350 OBP. He had 14 HR and 80 RBI with 50 BB and 58 K. Graves is due to make 5 million. He was pretty brutal in the starting rotation last season. But he is basically a Keith Foulke clone.

Someone wants to be a Bull?
I liked Jackson quite a bit last year. I'd like to see the Bulls get in a better guard then JC and then somehow get Jackson in here. THe problem is, I don't know if thats financially possible.

I think Baj may be a winner after the Ginter trade. The Knights pen will need a good righty reliever and he'd have to be the first inline at Bham to go up. My guess is he now starts the season in Charlotte. Plus, with Meaux and Munoz moving to the rotation, Bullard and Sanders are now 1 and 2 when it comes to lefty relievers.

I'm with you. Jackson can't possibly be that confident, especially considering he didn't make it this past year in Arizona. My guess is it has to be Juan Uribe. He started off hot, but has really tailed off and maybe KW wants to motivate him. Maybe the Sox feel comfortable with Dransfeltd being the backup...I'd rather have Uribe though. I'd say it would of been Harris if he was still hitting like crap, but he's started to pick up the pace. Maybe its one of the Sox better players and KW is hinting if he doesn't really pick it up, he may move him (Could their already be an offer on the table). You never know, KW may be wording it one may, but it could have a different meaning. If its a pitcher, I don't think it would be Scho. He's worked really hard this spring. Coop has mentioned it and I could see it when I saw him throwing his changeup and cutter this spring.

NCAA hoops thread
Way to go Okie STate. All 3 of my remaining Final Four Teams are still left. Uconn, Duke, and Okie State.

almost got fired again...
I am only 20 and got an assistant . Its funny, me and her always joke because she's over twice my age. But I let her listen to the radio, that way I can listen to my Sox games.

Duke Fan In The House!
Moving to the correct forum. I still say Duke goes down, but It looks as if they have a clear shot to the finals. Although I think either Okie State or Uconn can beat them. Uconn is going on, whether Okie State will or not, who knows.

This St Josephs - Okie State game looks like it will be really good. Okie State up 52-50 right now.

Do the Sox need a different 2b?
If the Sox are going to give up a minor leaguer for a 2nd baseman, then I think it should be for Junior Spivey.

FutureSox: Ginter Dealt to Mets
Stinks for BUrke, but he's going to get his shot. We know Alomar Jr. will get hurt at one point. I also think with the pen looking a little weak that the Sox will carry 12 pitchers.

****Breaking Sox News****
This is a good move. Timo Perez is a very good defensive outfielder and he's shown some ability to get on base. He still has to improve when it comes to drawing walks, but overall he's a solid all around player. He lacks power but can play all 3 outfield positions if necessary and Ginter was emerging as an unecessary piece. My thinking is that Baj is now going to be pitching for the Knights.

03/26/04 Sox vs. Rockies
Looks like Wright had a good game. The thing that really impressed me when I saw Wright pitch this spring was that his delivery seemed much more fluid and consistent and it was resulting in more strikes in spring. I still think he has a ways to go when it comes to control, but it wouldn't take much for his control to get better then its been and he has the stuff to be a good pitcher. Great outing Danny
