I dunno, let me look at my team. I'm pretty pathetic when it comes to relievers, so I can't really afford to deal any of them unless I get a reliever in return

When did Matt Guerrier become a Minnesota Twin???
Chisoxfn replied to witesoxfan's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Guerrier was the sole White Sox dealt in exchange for Damaso Marte and Ruddy Yan. -
Stanford was due for a loss. They are really over-achieving, but I give them credit. They had a lot of injuries and while playing in a down conference this yearr, they still have been up for almost every game. Washington flat out clobbered them yesterday though. Its probably better now, then having to continue having the pressure on their backs. Wasn't it Umass that went damn near undefeated when they had Marcus Camby?

SoxTalk Rolling Mock Draft (pick #26)
Chisoxfn replied to DBAHO's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
While I lean to Troupe, I say they go with Dansby and grab a pretty damn good linebacker. I could also see them grabbing Dunthea Robinson. -
As long as you pick the Illini to win it all, I'm confident I can pull the upset

As the comssioner, I will jam this deal through

Hey, If you want to dump Thome, I'm willing to take him off your hands for say Billy Koch

Sweet stuff...I'm in Also pinning the post

I love the idea of getting Sanders, although I doubt he slides till the 7th. I'm not all that famliiar with the latter round picks, but the 1st two rounds seem very reasonable.

I don't relaly think the Bears have enough money to sign Ogunleye. Now if they lose out on Tait, then I say go for it and try to work a deal where you can get a 2nd rounder from Miami instead of giving up the 1st and a 3rd necessary. Sometimes teams are willing to negotiate, although I don't know if Wanny will be. Ogunleye looks like an absolute stud DE. Well worth it, imo.

This was a great read. It had me laughing at parts and just feeling good about Ozzie as our manager. That really had me going. I also liked how Coop mentioned were already doing things different, we went out to dinner once this year. I figured coaches went out to dinner all the damn time. I guess not under the JM era.

The Sox acquired him from the Reds for D'Angelo Jimenez. Then they moved him, Gary Glover and Tim Bittner to the Angels for Scott Schoenweiss and a minor league closer who we cut at the end of the year. Well, Dunn pitched I think it was two days ago and I read quite a few things saying how good he looked. He threw an inning and I think struck out two batters. But they say he may be competing for one of the final roster slots. He's got some serious gas (95-96) and the Angels management is excited about him. Hopefully Scho can kick some but

Hey Andrew Welcome aboard. Always great having another Sox fan on board. Just trick your friend into believing that Ross Gload is Brian Daubach this season, since he'll likely be the man replacing him Anyway, good to have ya here

Also, I should add. They were 5 mill under the cap before signing their DT to the 6 year deal. Included in that is the 6 year tender offer they have already given to Tait. The Suntimes is now reporting that his cap hit this year will be 14 million. This means that at 6 mill they already have, that they would have to get another 8 mill under. After the signing they are probably 3 mill under, and this may not include the cap room set asdie for draft picks. If it doesn't, then they are basically out of caproom. If it does, then they have 9 million that can go to Tait, before even restructuring. I'd guess they could get this done without any major cuts, if the players are willing to restructure. Plus, if they can do it, after this year the Chiefs have him at an affordable salary.
-
According to Pete Brisco from CBS sportsline, the Chiefs will be matching the offer. He said the Chiefs GM has said they will do whatever it takes to get him in and they plan on doing that. If Tait goes elsewhere, then you can bet the Bear sign Salaam and Sapp assuing both aren't off the market. And I think if Tait signs, you'll see one of the two come to Chicago. This could also be a ploy by the Chiefs gm to get a draft pick.

I truly don't think there is a chance in hell that she is going to spend much less a day in jail. I also must say, that if anyone one of us had stock and our broker called us and said it was going to take a s***...we'd immediately sell. What she did wrong was lie and go all about covering up. This has already cost here about 800 million dollars. Here shares in her company alone were valued at around 1.2 billion before all these precedings. Now the same shares are worth about 200 million. Not saying thats a lot of money, but that is a hell of a lot to lose. Plus I think her stocks frozen right now. So it may continue to crash because if I understand insider trading charges correctly, it basically means she can't sit on her own board and a lot of the time I think it means you can't own stock anymore (Could be wrong on that, but thats what I remember). Although those more severe charges could of been for the insider trading charge that was dropped and that this is a more minor one. Am I wrong, I heard on the news that the amount of shares she sold (Imclone) were valued at like 60,000-80,000. If so, I think we all have to look and see how small potatoes this is. Hell, 60-80k isn't even a lot to sell for a middle class person, if they are in the market, let alone for someone who has a few hundred million invested.

I don't think thats going to happen. Bush has a pretty minimal control on gas prices. He can try and pressure OPEC to create more, open some of our reserves or do a few other things I guess. The main thing is, the gouging that mobil and other companies are doing has to go down. I think Gas prices will fall, like they usually do (I sure as hell hope they do) sometime in the next two months, but its more of a cycle. They try to gouge, we start b****ing, slowly they go back down a bit (But not as low as they were)....then it happens all over again.

Just want to remind everyone. Steff....I'm not sure when I'm going to get home from work this morning, so I want to post instructions for you here. I'll also PM you the instructions for how to do it. This should also help anyone else that hasn't done a live draft on yahoo or a live draft in general. What you do is go to your yahoo league page. If you don't know how to get there, just go to www.yahoo.com, click on sports, then click on the fantasy button on the top right. Make sure your logged in and then your team will show up on the middle of the right hand side. Just click the league name. Once your in the league page. You'll see on the very top (there is like a yellow/gold background color) that it says the draft is so many hours away. Click on the test your system button. This will make sure you have the proper plugins. About 15 minutes before the draft, in that same area (I'm pretty sure on this) a button will come up with the live draft link and we'll just click the button and go in there. The draft order will be automatically generated in half an hour. I'll be on aim on Bullsback just before the start of the draft, so if anyone has any trouble they can pm me. And once were in the draft I'm pretty sure there is like a chat feature, so we can all shoot the bull Let me also add....Centerfield is a MANDATORY POSITION You need to have 2 OF, and 1 CF.

San Diego has some really exorbitant gas prices. I was in downtown a few weeks ago and when we were leaving we stopped at a station and it was like 2.35. Nonetheless, we risked running out of gas and found a cheaper station
