  1. Eagles reportedly signed him to an 8 yr 66 mill deal
  2. I guess my dad was right. This was what I was talking about a few days ago
  3. On TV for the Mets against the Dodgers. He got them in order and did a nice job moving the ball. Was throwing his fastball between 86-88. Franco said he's probably the future closer. He looked pretty smooth out there and no one even got close to hitting him hard.
  4. I'd look for the Bears to get a 2nd or 3rd round pick for Thomas. More likely a 3rd rounder.
  5. Not yet...while I do homework I got espn news on...I'm freaking pumped to hear if it goes down. He'd be the best pass rusher the Bears have had since Richard Dent.
  6. I go there every once in a while and if you go into your settings you can make the board look a lot more like this one. Make it a flat board, instead of a threaded board.
  7. Look at what Kearse did last year in 14 games. 10 sacks with 4 forced fumbles and an interception. He's also very solid against the run. This guy was also facing double team after double team. He not only makes the pass defense better, but he also makes Alex Brown better because the focus will be more on Kearse. What happens to Haynes if they do this, I don't know, but my guess is they begin to work on moving him inside. Oh ya, Kearse only missed 2002, take that season away and in 4 NFL years he's only missed 2 games (not too shabby if you ask me). This guy is 27...he's just entering his prime.
  8. Well according to PFW, the Bears are also in talks with John Tait and are going to make him an offer. Kearse would be a hell of an upgrade. The only question in regards to Kerase is his heatlh (and i for one thing thats been blown way out of proportion). This seems like a lot of money, but if the Bears use the cap wisely it could be a very good deal. I love the addition of Jones and Quinn will be a good backup who understands the system. Atrain will be on his way out as will Holdman which will free up a little more money. I also think the Bears are going to sign Robert Young to be their new dt, which will leave them going with a WR in the draft, imo or maybe a cb. If by the end of the day they have: Jones Quinn Kearse or Tait (Hopefully both after a few days) I will be absolutely blown away and excited. Add Young (From the Rams) and I'd say hell ya this is an offseason. Both defensive players provide a big time pass rush and are insanely fast, and Jones has a pretty high upside while Tait would add some big time stablility to the line. And then in the draft, its giong to be best available.
  9. So you don't think too much of Karmejo (I probably botched the spelling)?
  10. Now if only the special interest groups would step aside, then it would be an even better race. Apu, right now are you going to vote for Kerry or are you thinking other ways. I know you have usually said you aren't necessarily a democrat so I was wondering what your stance is on Kerry, now thats he's officially the nominee.
  11. Even though Warrick has yet to be cut, he will be cut before his roster bonus is due. The Bears are just holding onto him for a bit longer hoping they could deal him.
  12. Thats freaking expensive. I see a ton of Angels games every year and If I calculate out what I pay, it is way less then that. Usually I sit for 7 bucks in the upper deck, but right behind home plate, or I upgrade and spend about 15 and sit in the terrace section (on the field level, but its essentially the 2nd level on the field...still great seats). Now I'm guessing Angels tickets will be going up, but thats roughly 70 bucks for 10 games behind home plate, then I probably go to about another 10 games where I sit at other areas, which is 150...so 220 for 20 games. Then I get a few free seats from title reps that are freaking awesome. Either way, its pretty pathetic when I could go to about 15 more Angel games and still pay essentially the same as you do. Oh ya, did I mention the fact that the ANgels have a 100 mill payroll and added Vladdy, Colon, Escobar, Jose Guillen and Co. I should add these prices are after my AAA discount. One quick question, do the Sox ever offer buy one season ticket, get on free? I know the Dodgers and Angels both offer it every year in the upper deck and other limited sections. The maximum seats you could do under this policy is 2 at full price and then 2 for free. Maybe prices are part of the reason the fans don't go??
  13. I heard that when I woke up this morning and s*** a brick at first. Then I started laughing my ass off.
  14. Wiley will definately get some attention. Tony Brackens was also released by the Jaguars today.
  15. Well I play sports (baseball, football, basketball, golf), lol. Other then that I'm pretty lazy so I just hang out with my friends during most of my free time.
  16. And instead of getting paid, you are the one paying. Heather, if your looking, hopefully your student teaching is going well.
  17. Shockingly, I learned to like Blount...I liked him a lot more then JYD and well he's a hell of a lot better then Rick Brunson.
  18. Umm, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Bears may consider Reggie or Roy Williams at 14, I'd gladly give up the guy we would be cutting (Holdman) and what would possibly be Roy or Reggie Williams for a proven stud like Moss.
  19. That was hillarious how the guy just walked off. Personally I wouldn't of given a damn. Either way it sucked that the average joe got hosed. I swore she was going to pick him.
  20. Personally I think Edwards would of been the tougher candidate for Bush to go up against. I think this is goign to be a really good election. I put in my vote today (Used the new computer system). Of course I vote in the republican primary and I wrote in Bush Sr, just for s***s and giggles. Otherwise I grudingly voted in favor of a few bond bills, with exception to prop 56 (Which lowered the required % of votes to increase taxes). 55 was for education (if it wins, my school gets a few billion to build a new business building). I also was glad to hear the Bush called Kerry and congratulated him. Supposedly the two talked about the upcoming election and both want the each other to have a clean campaign and to focus on the issues.
  21. Haaa...we know I'm the one and only SULTAN PIMP of Soxtalk Mark, I'm sure you'll have a kick ass bday. 18, so I'm guessing your already at the nudie bar Have a good one bud
  22. So it could be as long as 5 years. I wonder how much the option years are for. If they are at a reasonable price, this could turn into an even better signing. Marte = THE MAN
  23. Thats an outstanding signing. This is definately one of KW's best early resignings. They no longer have to worry about arbitration and Marte knows he has a future in the southside. I'm pumped, he's one of my favorite relievers and I Just hope he stays healthy and if possible, keeps getting better.
  24. Wow, if Politte is throwing strikes, he's going to be NASTY.
