  1. That 0-1 changeup by Scho was really nice. He's gonna have to start using that pitch and his curve much more often.
  2. Sounds like a cool move by the Sox. I think they should do all they can to ensure the players get to play in front of a packed house EVERY Night. And hopefully the players play will help ensure that.
  3. I'm gonna assume he cleared waivers. I know one thing, if they ever fully waive him. I'd let him clear completely and the very minute you could sign him at the minimum, I'd SIGN him.
  4. Man, you'd like one of my best buddies. Biggest Beatles fan I ever knew...well right with you. Guy is always telling me I got it all wrong with SoxNet and that it should be Beatlesnet But now I got to say they are singlehandedly the best band ever. I have burned many a CD in compiling my own Beatles Greatest Hits CD (Its about 70 songs and 3 discs) and I still am like damn, I'm missing that song which kicked butt.
  5. I heard that spot and don't have a clue who the reporter was. Maybe he read a post on a message board?
  6. Well, if he isn't ready, then he can get his first start their in the post-season.
  7. That should be a semi fun infield to watch or at least it could be.
  8. Whatever it is, Michelle and whoever else was bashing him...keep on Bashing cause it sure as hell seems to be working.
  9. The Sox have now changed their tune and are undecided on who will get the start.
  10. Ahh, I see your already becoming an econ major by busting out the Law of Diminishin Utility. I'm assuming Sex wasn't an example? One thing, what is Jewelry class? Is the school teaching girls the difference between Cubic Zirconium and a Diamond? If so, YOUR SCREWED But Cerb its so true, its taken me a long time to realize it, but school really is a great thing. You are always spending time with friends and when your not in class you get a lot of free time, minus a bit of homework. Best of luck with that girl. I don't think any girl that was big on Jesus would like me, well unless football was moved from Sundays
  11. I think somewhere in the members panel area, there is a place to edit in your own description.
  12. They are different people. I know Andy has been a poster for a while if I recall. Either way, you know me, as long as they are Sox Fans they are welcome here
  13. The Beatles, what a great band. Do you collect their records and such?
  14. Excellent Post Michelle. I agree with ya 100%. I love Konerko, but if financially someone else was to be gone i'd rather move Konerko because of his salary.
  15. I'm one of Konerko's biggest fans, but this year has been ugly. Konerko does do a solid job getting guys over, more often then not, and he still has 50 RBI. Crede has also been kicking butt as of late. He seems very comfortable there and a bit more agressive. Mainly he's pulling what they let him pull and go oppo with what they give him away.
  16. Maggs also doesn't have the RBI total to win. Not to slight Maggs, but for a large portion of the year he wasn't exactly coming up HUGE. Sure he was good, but he wasn't great. Get those run production numbers up and then I'd say he's got a legit shot.
  17. YES!!! They didn't give up Nady!! Great trade. I am going to purchase a 10 game set if they sign Tejada, which all signs indicate they will. If you do...I expect ya to hook me up with tickets to the opening day game I'm gonna definately get tickets to that one. Padres are one of those teams I like. I love going to the stadium down there and I'm with ya on Nady. That kid is good. I thought they were morons for even considering trading him. Are they gonna deal Nevin?
  18. One difference. The Padres are a pretty good organization and Kevin Towers is a pretty smart GM. The Pads have quite a few good, talented young players and the Pirates never had that. Guys like Nady, Khalil Greene, Sean Burroughs, etc. I know I'm leaving out a few names. They also plan on adding another hitter (Probably Matsui or Tejada) and then they'll move Greene to 2nd (just a guess). Pitching wise Peavy seems very good while Eaton and others have flashed potential.
  19. Used to collect baseball cards. Don't collect anything now, other then the Souvenir Cups from the different stadiums I've been too. Those things come in handy with all the juice I drink.
  20. It felt good getting back, seeing all the buddies from college I didn't see over the summer and more importantly seeing all the hot women wearing their scandilous summer outfits . I swear that and the weather is the best part about California. Schedule seems pretty good thus far and I got a comedian as my Geology Teacher (I put off the GE stuff, namely the Scienes as long as I can). Guy is freaking cracking jokes instead of talking about Rocks which is a plus. Then my Accounting teacher...milf. My buddy and I were stunned when we walked in. Business Law seems interesting (Only cause I'm interested in Law) while my psychology class seems pretty cool. All my teacher does is make fun of people and he gets pissed if you don't make fun of him back. Only thing that sucks about him is I already got a quiz on Friday. No idea how my Bus Writing class will be, but its 3 freaking hours long, so I'm not looking forward to it. Hope everyone has is having fun now that they are back in College. I don't know about you guys/gals, but I plan on milking the college experience as long as I can. Its nice going to school, compared to working 50 or so hours a week. Plus, summer break, 6 weeks off for Xmas, whats not to like.
  21. Imo, I'd pick Loiaza or Hudson depending on who does better down the stretch.

    Hey guys

We got those laws out here in Cali. Luckily they all seem to think my buddies and I are 21 at the establishment we got to every Sunday during football season. Also, Welcome back. Hope the new house and highschool are cool.
  23. It was something the Sox did to get them in now. The players wanted to wait until next season to start, but the Sox were like hey, come on over, then finish up and you'll play again next year. I think its great for the player (He gets a few months experience, which is basically what short season is for) and then he can go back get his degree and make it back out next year knowing what he needs to improve on, etc. Plus the Sox had planned on bringing Sweeney up anyway...it was in his contract that he would play with Great Falls eventually this year.
  24. I'm with you. I'd have Cleveland, Texas, Anaheim, Cubs, and San Diego all pretty high.
  25. You don't know how much I love reading that type of quote. I can't say I've ever known the Sox to be this agressive. They really seem to want it all and even if they fail, at the end of the year I can say, s***...this team could of done it. Not many times can I say that when it comes to a team I love.
