Kannapolis didn't look to draw too much. They were probably 200 people for one of the games I saw. The 2nd was rained out and they looked to get more like 2000 that night. There is a big variation in crowd size depending on whether there is a giveaway and what day of the week it is. The Knights have drawn pretty well at times this year, but they are dead last in the IL or at least they were a while ago in attendance. Still they get around 5000 a game. Warthogs drew very good the two games i was at. Both games were around 3000 people and the fans were in the games.

Did You Know...that this is the first time two 300 LB plus pitchers faced eachother Either way, I don't care as long as the Sox keep on WINNING

It's definately time for me to head to the Dodger game Hopefully I'll see a nohitter

Definately a sweet homestand. Now its time to have a sweet roadtrip.

Correction, Alex (SoxHeads) is the man. He also just added a cool new feature to the Private Messages where the number turns RED when you have a message. Hopefully it will make it more noticeable. He's working on a few more cool new features Although you can still call me the man Rex

Its for box scores. Awesome work Alex

Jason is working on that, MSF. Here's to hoping he finds the problem soon. Its been solved. Just before your first html post, put this in front [ dohtml] (Without the Space) and then do the pre code as usual. Then after you do (Without the Space) you do [ /dohtml] (Without the space). Its been tested (I inserted it in the original post) and were also working on getting it to work without the dohtml, but for now it WORKS.

That was a well played game by both teams. Thompson just pitched fantastic. He had great control and great stuff.

Its weird cuz its out on the sox game but not the twins, for me. I have cable. Ya, the other channels have sound for me. This has been out for a while too. Like a full inning right now. Come on Miguel...get a basehit.
-
I can't get it to work right either. I'm working on a script that will get it to work, but its turning out to be much more difficult then my amateur self expected it to be.
-
If that is the case, things could certainly change. I'd probably add someone like Bullard to the roster. He has always been able to throw innings, and this year since he moved to the pen he didn't throw near as many innings. Just a thought. As you all can tell, I'm not a big fan of sending starters to the fall league unless they missed part of the season early on do to injury and you want to even out their workload with this.

Blalock is so stinking good. Come on Jon, settled down and get this guy and hopefully the Sox offense can put a crooked number on the board in the next inning. Question: Is the sound on Fox Sports Chicago out for anyone else? Or is it just my cable company?
-
Damn, Jon looked sharp that last inning. Hope he can continue strong the rest of the way. And hopefully the Sox offense can set itself lose in the 3rd
-
Gets the groundout so the inning is now over. Going to the bottom of the 1st, 0-0.

I'm here. Arod just belted a double.

They want Cotts to develop a cutter. I doubt he'll throw a lot of innings. I think the big thing with him is they want him to just work on the cutter. I'm not a big fan of having a pitcher keep throwing and throwing, so I sure hope Cotts doesn't go a lot of innings.
-
If they signed him they'd do it to a minor league deal and send him to Charlotte most likely, giving them some aid. Then when the rosters expand you'd see him up. Unless they could figure out a way to finangle it so he could potentially be on the postseason roster, if he pitched good. Either way, I think at this point in time the pen looks set as long as everyone stays healthy. Only spot left is whether Koch comes back or not. And as long as he's not on the DL, he'll be on the postseason roster.
-
Plus that splits up the two lefties and I'd have to think JM would want to do that. I will at least say this, as backs to back they aren't really that similar. Cotts is more fastball, change with the ocassional curve while Buehrle uses his gigantic array of pitches and tries to get guys to make contact. I think I'm gonna like having this two lefties in the rotation a long time. Then mix that with Bullard in the pen

Holy s***.

Thank god we don't have Dusty. Our entire staff would be on the DL.

If I were the commish, I'd go out and call it a no no. Geeze, I expected him to be called out either way, cause i just couldn't see a guy getting jobbed on a call. Either way...AWESOME game Carlos. He can't get the final out though.
-
Or at least keeping the shot going. With 2 outs in the 8th inning he gives up a softly hit grounder to 3rd. Aramis Ramirez makes an awesome pick and throw to Simon who makes an unbelievable strecth and the guy is out by half a step. The UMP calls him safe though. Absolute joke. I was watching it live and knew there was no way in hell he was safe and the replay showed it. I know Carlos is a Cub, but he's one of my favorite pitchers. He now has 2 outs in the ninth and has only given up a hit. The game should no be over and it should be a no hitter.

From what I've seen you look like your gonna be good. You mix speeds, and that fastball is SNEAKY. I love the poise shown and I think were gonna see big strides out of you next year. So keep getting better cause this will be the first of many. CONGRATS
