  1. I don't hate the Packers, I respect them. I love watching Favre play qb. As far as teams I hate, Cowboys are probably #1 in my book. I also hate the Raiders.
  2. Go NOTRE DAME and GO HAWKEYES Thats right heads

DABEARS Can't wait to see them play San Fran this weekend. Also gonna stop by Pac Bell on Saturday
  4. I still want to know why the hell Harris was hitting with Crede on 3rd and 2 outs. Why the hell not use Rios, who is much more experienced and a better hitter.
  5. And it starts with the manager pressing and just going off on the players for their lack of regard in this area.
  6. And Tony Larussa is the most overrated manager in the majors.
  7. I think that stat right there is the biggest reason that the Sox would fail to make the playoffs (If that happens). Looking back on games, there are so many that should of been one, had the team just simply made contact or lifted a fly ball. Now I know it isn't going to happen all the time, but I'd like to see it happen at least 75% of the time. If you get a guy on 3rd with less then two outs, you better do it more often then not. Hell, if it were me, I'd expect 80% of the time. The other big area that pisses me off is the Sox inability to get runners over. In 2000 they were great at moving the guy from 2nd to 3rd. Now they don't even try to do it. They just hack for the homer. Walker has been a big improvement to the point I think the players and Manuel have to stress doing this. Walker can't do it by himself. Crede/Konerko are about the only players I always see trying to get the runners over in those situations. Carlos Lee is probably one of the worse at this, along with Frank Thomas who has been awful at it as well. The only flaw I have with Lee in the 2 hole, is that his swing gets too long and he gets caught up in the homer and not moving the guy over, which is the job of the 2 hole hitter at times. I love what Carlos has done this year and think he's probably the most improved player on the team (Along with Frank) but I still need to see those little things done. The entier team needs to do them and Manuel needs to stress them. If a manager doesn't stress that stuff, then the players won't do it, they just figure its not their managers style and to me its not a style that is effective come playoff time. And it is the reason why the team lost the past two nights.

  12. Hope you guys have an awesome day
  13. If the Dodgers make the playoffs, then Gagne definately gets my vote as the NL Cy Young Winner.
  14. This is a good move as it ensures that the Sox will have the top four going against the Twins. Now come on Sox, split the series against Boston with a win tonight
  15. I think they should lower the upperdeck and make a homer porch. Other then that, I think the Sox already have a pretty nice stadium, although green painted seats would be really nice, imo.
  16. I think both of our catchers are our best bunters, along with Harris, Alomar Jr, and Rowand. Jose and Graffy are alright too.
  17. Right now I'm a lazy ass. 20 hours of work and then school And school is actually fun for me. Only thing that blows is homework, but I figure do the homework now...get a kick ass job...retire early

I've been feeling this is the year since Spring Training. Then around June I decided things were over (I obviously was wrong). Now I hope the Sox just play to their ability, if they do that, this is gonna be a special year on the SouthSide.

Grienke is an unbelievable pitcher. Imo, he may be the best pitching prospect right now.
  21. not right now I'm not, but I'm sure I'll be working a gazillion hours when I first get out of college.

He put the Royals in position to win in 3 of the 4 starts. Wasn't his fault they didn't score the runs. I'm going off memory here, but I thought he had 3 quality starts. I know he lost one game where he gave up like 2 runs.
  23. Thats BS...life in PRISON is what he should get. In my law class today we were discussing a case that our teacher is doing right now (no names were mentioned) and its currently in the appeal process. But this guy is accussed with intent to kill his wife (She only had a minor bruise on the back of the neck and evidence proves her story is wrong (She was too big for the story too cooberate; csi style); but the original attorney never called any expert witnesse so basically he was screwed out of a fair trial). Anyway, he's in prison for 25 years unless his appeal gets heard. This guy actually kills someone and gets less time...what a joke.
  24. This isn't a thread about a stance if abortion is right or wrong. I just found it darkly hilarious that people who were pro-life were killing people. I agree with you. It would be like peace protesters killing people. The whole thing was stupid. As far as abortion goes, I really don't know what to think. I think killing a person is wrong, yet I also don't think having a child with unwanted or unfit parents is any better. I mean whats better, a kid that becomes a druggy in society and steals, etc or a kid that isn't there to begin with. I guess every kid deserves that chance to prove they can be good, but its a tough call, one I wouldn't be comfortable making, thats for damn sure. I know if I knocked up a girl right now I wouldn't want to take care of her, but if she wanted to keep the baby and its her call, then I'd have to do what needed to be done and work more hours and basically put that kid first and my goals last.
