  1. Shields would be a really nice pickup.
  2. Nice Hustle Sandy. Olivo pinch runs for Sandy who seemed to of rolled an ankle hustling down the line. Roberto strikes out. He chased the first pitch in the dirt. Poor at bat, imo. Come on Carlos...short quick swing.
  3. Buehrle is an ace, but no one can say indefinately what would of happened. Right now the Sox got to worry about finishing todays' game strong and pulling out a sweep (I still got faith) and then going into Detroit and playing them with 200% effort. If Buehrle wasn't feeling good, then putting him out there wouldn't of been wise either.
  4. One question though...how is he eligible since he's received money as a professional athlete. It it simply because he earned it playing another sport? Yup, see Chris Wienke and others who went back and played NCAA football, after playing in the minors. Ya, I remembered him when I was typing it. I also remember this kid at Colorado who was a professional snowboarder and they said he'd have to quit during his time at the Unviversity if he wanted to play football. I thought it was a bunch of crap, since he wasn't making money on the collegiate sport he was playing. For pete sakes it was a job that the kid had. Ya, he was an athlete, but he wasn't making the money as a football player.
  5. The one thing is...if the Sox come back today and then win tomorrow the outcome is the same. Buehrle could of lost today and Cotts could of lost yesterday. Its so hard to tell. The Sox handled this wrong, but for starting go with the better pitcher as long as he feels right. If he doesn't, then thats that and go with Cotts. He's a quality youngster. Ya he struggled but s*** happens. Rocket and Boomer struggled too.

If Buehrle really was laboring, then I don't see the problem in the call...its the way they handled it that I disagree with. If you don't know...shut up about it.

  8. Wow. I wonder if West was pitching hurt (Before he went on the DL) cause over the past year to year and a half his numbers have constantly gotten worse. The guy is big though so I wish him luck at football.
  9. I didn't touch a thing..will take a look at it though. Another bug that needs to be fixed.

What exactly happened in the game that has made everyone so pissed off at Neal anyway? I just know 5 runs were scored. I'm assuming he walked into some jams?
  11. Their is one reason this move could turn really stupid and thats because its creating news and stirring up the pot. Why the hell do the Sox need a controversy like this when they are playing good baseball. Keep this players motivated Jerry...cause they are definately gonna need that motivation/focus when they go into Detroit. I think all of us know how they've done against the lesser teams, especially on the road.
  12. I don't want to even picture the server bill when that happens

Cotts seems like a very confident kid. I think the Sox are high on him and he knows it. I didn't catch the early parts of the game (was at school) but from what I've seen in his few major league starts he doesn't show fear, when it comes to walking guys, etc. He can make big pitches and this only tells him he's still got some things to work on and I Think he knows and understands that, hence the fact that he's going to the AFL.
  14. You can be whatever you want to be. Didn't your momma ever teach ya that I'll take give you that label in the morning
  15. What can I say...all of us are special in a way.

    DIdn't really work.
  18. Alright...I take it you want one
  19. They have a webcam up on their site. dont' know when they started doing this, but it seems like its just in time for the playoffs which start on September 3rd. Should be a cool way for people to see the prospects in action.
  20. Any idea what the pitching matchups will be against Huntsville? I'm assuming Pacheco will start the playoff opener. Once again Congrats
  21. That should make Yankee fans happy too, since they won the World Series that year.
  22. I thought you could, but I can't figure out where the option is. I know I saw it once before. But if you want something change, its no biggie for me or Alex to do it. And Michelle, were trying to find a way to put the coding back in there. I liked that feature too.
  23. Agreed. Maybe they want to play with the Yanks so they can't prepare
