  2. Done and Done. Just tell me if you'd prefer it in all Caps or something.
  3. GOt it. Ya, I like that name. Plus I am far from creative so their is no way I'd be able to come up with anything original Will do it right now
  4. He's had a hell of a season
  5. Thats just it..."if he ever wanted to" Bart seems to only pitch well when things are going well, a la David Wells in 2002. Players with that attitude are free to walk away without me getting mad at all. Give me a team of battlers like Buehrle, and I'm happy. Este is in the same group, the guy just goes after people. For a second I thought you were talking about Estes
  6. If you could an update every inning or so would be great.
  7. Sweet...great to see they made it through it.
  8. THey didnt know that colon throws harder as the game goes along and they didnt know it was actually Cotts turn in the rotation. BIggest idiots ive heard all season. Only good things they mentioned was Boomer using the slide step and how they talked about how Colon falls back and thats not a typical style pitchers would want. I also kind of liked how they talked about Everetts split grip. That was about it. I LOVED watching the game though
  9. Don't lie, you have 5...don't forget the Royce Clayon Jersey never had one, never would - never - to reach pantheon status in my sox gear wardrobe, Clayton never had a chance. But I do have a Clayton autograph... I have a bunch of odd autographs. That is not a biggie. Clayton was never remotely jersey-worthy. hey jason, any crying over the cubs game today? :fthecubs (but use protection) That Cub game was ugly. Was flipping to it in between channels and I was swearing at Baker for once again overworking Wood. Baker is gonna make a lot of Sox fans happy sooner or later when the Cubs can't field a five man rotation. Kerry has a rocket arm and is really strong, but man, it was stupid letting him go that long. Of course the pen looked real sharp And as much as I dislike Sosa, he is playing really good since the whole Cork incident. Hell the guy is around 90 RBI and he missed like a month of the season.
  10. Ya, KipWellsFan and I were just talking about that. Great outing for him. Its no secret Kip was always my favorite Sox pitching prospect of that era (Now its Buehrle) and I wish him nothing but the best. I hope one day I can once again cheer for him in a Sox uniform.
  11. If you are referring to Michael Kay, then yes he is a moron. I dunno...they had 3 guys in the booth and they were all babbling at one point or another. At times it was ugly. They knew nothing about other teams.

Paniguaga was a very sucessful pitcher in the Mariners bullpen in 2000 and 2001. He also pitched with a team or two before that and a few teams after that. Had a great arm but in 2002 he really struggled with Detroit (I think thats where he went) and ended up falling out of baseball. This year he pitched out of the US and has gotten healthy again and has regained his 94 MPH fastball (Allegedly). I also think he through a good slider and had decent sinking action on his fastball.

Ya...there was an article about it on the Trib's site. Also a post somewhere on the board, although it may of slid to the second page. Very solid move. He was sent to Charlotte (AAA).
  14. Don't lie, you have 5...don't forget the Royce Clayon Jersey
  15. I wouldn't guarantee it. Ya, the Yanks will spend money, but I don't see them going after Colon. Actually, if things don't go right for the Yanks...you could really see a complete overhaul.
  16. Sweet
  17. Don't forget about Gagne. Other then the fact that the Dodgers are slumping, he has just as good odds (Only one save behind Smoltz). Just have to say, Kip Wells through 6 shutout innings tonight enroute to a win over the Marlins.
  18. I definately agree with that statement
  19. Of course the key is getting into the first round and nothing is a guarantee right now. If they play good baseball and up to their potential, then I'm very confident, even with a hard schedule. COME ON SOX
  20. He was hitting 93 constantly when we were there. Had a really good fastball and good secondary pitches. Kid looked for real to me in the one start I saw of him. He has good tools and I think next year people will really start hearing about him. He's from the Chicago area, if I recall.
  21. Not that it means much, but the Yanks announcers said that the Sox may be the best team in the majors. On a sidenote the Yanks announcers aren't really that sharp. They didn't know the last team to cream the Yanks in back to back games like this in New York was the Sox. Hell, they didn't even know Thomas was on that team (Afterall...he just got hosed from winning the MVP that year). Beyond the Yankee announcers having no knowledge of other major league teams they did seem to understand the game and the mechanics of it. But did anyone else watching the YES network notice they showed absolutely no stats or anything for the Sox hitters (Such as pitch counts or some replays of like Franks homer).
  22. Congrats Jim. I know the spot starts haven't always gone really well for ya, but its great to see ya pick up the win. And your right Kip, watching Kannapolis down the stretch has to be ugly. But watching Todd Deininger pitch makes it worth it (I think Murcie will back me up on this one).
  23. Thats too much money for Colon. Right now Colon is a similar pitcher to Ponson. I think both will command somewhere between 6 to 8 mill a year. I've said it many times, but I'd offer something around 6 mill per guaranteed with incentives that could bump it to 8 or 9 mill per and I'd do it over 3 years.

AGREE 10000000%. This team is playing good baseball. I loved all the doubles tonight and how the offense jumped out in support of Colon after he gave up those two runs. You know how great it makes a pitcher feel when he goes out and struggles in an inning and your offense just goes right out and gives you 7 runs and a 5 run lead. Thats a freaking awesome feeling. It just elevates your attitude and stuff a notch or two.
