    Jason...

Even if they do, next year they are going to be really good. They got some really impressive big men. Too bad the game won't be on TV.

Or look at what they did to Rumsfelds house.
  3. I hope Rios can play it fine, but I've heard many people say he sucks in the corner defensively and that worries me to the point if you can't play corner outfield, then you can't play in center. Of course, Manuel has said good things about him. If Harris isn't needed for centerifeld then he's useless, he's tradebait in my book. I'll give him another shot in the minors, but he's lookinga lot like a AAAAer. I don't care how much speed you have, you need to utilize it. He's not great defensively, and he's not a perfect bunter, nor is he great at drawing walks and he strikes out too much.
  4. Rob, I really enjoyed the article. I really remember that season. It was about the 2nd or 3rd season into falling the White Sox. I was a little kid and was so excited about the Sox chances. Black Jack, Frank, I loved the entire team, those guys were awesome. Then the playoffs game and I remember being glued to the tv with a couple of my buddies (baseball fans, not Sox fans and my dad) and man was I dissapointed every game. Still, that was a fun season. I would watch all the games I could on WGN, and then after or before the games play whiffle ball our catch with my buddies. I'm hoping this year would be just as fun and hell, I'd still love to play whiffle ball and baseball with my buddies after the games, but now I got that damn thing called work and school is more important

  6. Suppose Stewart opens the season as the starter with Wright starting it on the DL or in the minors. Then Stewart pitches good his first couple starts, do the Sox then tell Wright have the surgery now, get healthy and we'll see you back in Chicago in June? I'd say that would make a lot of sense, especially if Stewart proves he can handle the majors. Plus, we still have a couple backup plans and that way we know we have a healthy Wright when it matters, down the strecth. Supposedly its 4-6 weeks to get better from this type of surgery. I'm assuming he gets healthy in 6, takes 3 weeks in the minors or so, and then we can get him up in Chicago ready to roll. It would be almost like a trade where we don't have to give anyone up.
  7. Jim, would you compare yourself a lot to Stewart and Buehrle? Also, since I didn't get to see ya play down in Arizona, hopefully I'll be making a trip to the minors and will get to see ya play a game in Birmingham or Charlotte if you end up getting promoted their sometime during the season. By the way, congrats on the good game. Sounds like a very solid outing.
  8. Dang, Stewart is really doing his part to show that he should be a starter. This has to make it difficult on Jerry, especially if Wright isn't quite ready.

Protesters Trash Grounds Around Rumsfeld's Home That was very "non-peaceful" of them. Not saying all of them are that way. Now here's a few links Sideshowapu emailed me to put up having to do with protests he helped participate in at his school http://salty.ncsa.uiuc.edu/gallery/dayofwar?&page=7 http://www.ucimc.org/newswire/rate/10483 http://www.dailyillini.com/mar03/mar21/new...s_story01.shtml http://www.dailyillini.com/mar03/mar21/new...s_story07.shtml
  10. Who pitched for the Sox today?

    Nato????

That isn't a quote from me. I try to be diplomatic about things. I think that the Un and Nato could be very helpful, BUT, I think for that to happen some serious changes have to be made. I don't necessarily know what those changes would be, but it isn't going to work in its current state. I also think that Nato and the Un wants to get involved with building Iraq back up, but you'll see the coalitioin forces put in an Iraqi person and let Iraq run their country while the Un/Nato provides food and relief. This isn't a short fix, the war is just step one and to be honest, its probalby the easiest of all the steps. Building up a country or helping do so is tough work and it takes a great plan and ability to make changes for it to succeed.

    Nato????

Yeah, the US against the rest of the World is a good idea. Pulling out of the UN and NATO are some of the worst moves we could make, mainly because we would be further alienated from many countries. 36 countries support us. That enough support from me, you can't make everyone happy and part of the things wrong with society today is people think all 100% can always be happy, well right now that isn't realistic. Oh ya, Nato and UN didn't do crap to enforce their policies. 1441 wasn't followed and the documentation was there. They sat on it for 12 years and did nothing. How people deny he had weapons is popostorious to me. Heck, he's used some of the banned weapons already, yet people act as if he hasn't. After this is over, I think you'll see drastic changes to the UN and Nato. Does anyone think UN and Nato is perfect? I sure as hell don't. I think the idea is there and the point is for it to do good, but its not there yet, just like our founders didn't have things perfect when they took over, it evolved over time.
  13. Anyone see that kid. Man, seeing that stuff or well in this case hearing it on the radio just made me feel great. Of course its got to make those soldiers putting their life on the line out their really feel good too. In my mind they are doing the right thing, everyone else can think what they want, but I stick to my thought that Saddam was a dictator, that controlled his people and forced violence and poverty on them and they are finally going to get to experience the freedoms that everyone is entitled to.
  14. ABC released a poll saying over 70% are in favor of the war. I forget the exact %, but I think it was closer to 80%.
  15. I haven't been that naive since I was 6. Of course our bombs only fall on the right places and kill the right people. Peace out. Why do you put words in my mouth???? I never said that. Nothing is perfect, civilians die in war, but don't lie and say we hit Hospitals and schools instead of Saddams places (Talking about Al Jazari. These weapons are incredibly accurate that the military is using today. This is like no war of the past.
  16. I think Miles beats out Harris if Rowand is feeling alright.
  17. Ya, the new technology in this is amazing. Oh ya, for all those protesters that always mention how we are going after Iraq despite the fact that North Korea has nukes and shouldn't they be the concern. Well, this message is probably being read drastically by the Koreans, now knowing that it may not be as easy as he thought. Thats not why they are doing it, but I'm sure it scares the crap out of him too.
  18. Of course we don't see both sides. The American media makes a field day on censoring what they show us. Still, it is nice to see weakening resistance. Maybe we can get this f***ing war over with. Better then the complete lies that Al jazari continues to publish. For god sakes, when we had troops 150 kilometers into Iraq and they were watching our feed, they were still telling the people that we have yet to enter Iraq. Then they say we bombed schools and hospitals, pure crap. The propagenda campaign is something, but isn't it a government that typically does it, not a freaking TV station. I know Tv stations have motives, but in the case of the US, they kind of go with what they are told in situations of the war. The key is, there were not major protests in the Middle East today, after they got out of Mosque which is a great sign that the people believe that Saddam deserved this.
  19. Mine has to deal with their stance on many issues, but as far as this war is concerned, they are against us because their people hate the US. Also because they have helped feed the enemy (and no I'm not talking food). Most importantly, they are saming some of the stupidest things ever. I'm sorry, but its very obvious to ME, that Saddam didn't meet 1441 and he had 12 years to do so, thats that. Why give him more time, 12 years is a long ass time. Its not like he's having to rebuild an economy, that could take 12 years, he just had to destroy some weapons and then his people could get their lives back together, but he doesn't care about them. Their whole argument is wrong.
  20. Don't have access to a tv right now, everyone in the office has the radio on though. If this is the case its great news. I have all along believed the majority would support the US in this, but they could never show their feelings with a dictator like Saddam in charge. Still, I don't know if we see both sides, so I'll wait till later dates in the war, but i'm loving what I'm hearing.
  21. Well I am proud about the way my school is handling its business. The school has decided not to make any type of resolution and to concentrate on its job, which is dealing with student affairs and improving the school. Since i'm their to learn, I like to know that the people are spending their time while getting paid on that. Also, a group of teachers were protesting and telling students to cut class and they were cutting class. This is a bunch of crap, they are there, getting paid to teach students and they are screwing their students that are paying tuition to go to that school. YOu want to protest, do it on your own time. Its not your job to share your opinion in a class, unless you tell them its your opinion, and if you allow other students to debate back and tell their side of the opinion. As far as the protesting goes, I have no problem with it as long as they don't stop people that aren't taking part of it. Stay on the sidewalk, don't throw glass or rhubarb at cops and don't throw cones into the street while their is incoming traffic. Thats a danger to everyone else. You want to protest, stand in the freaking sidewalk, go to a park, but don't inconvient those that want no part in it. Oh ya, try to make them a bit more peaceful, instead of throwing stuff.

Have fun down there and stay safe.
  23. Eyewittness reports have Saddam being wheeled out on a stretcher. Whether its true or not who knows. They also are really starting to think it was taped and he has many speaches taped.
  24. I had that problem also, but when i inquired about it, i found out that you can't run your audio and video inputs through a vcr, they have to go directly to a TV. It protects against people somehow recording the video onto a tape basically. Don't know if that's the problem or if the PS2 just sucks, but worth a try And a few months ago my disc tray would not come out for whatever reason, i had to send it to a sony place in mich for repairment, really pissed me off cuz it took about a month and about 90 bucks. Damn, you've saved my problems. My friend and I both do it that way, and that must be why we have the problems. Sweet, your a savior Koch!!!
  25. Well, he wasn't pitching, so I just saw him covering first base, but he looked alright. He's a big guy, thats for sure. I have heard a lot of good things about him, and his work ethic and attitude, so I really hope he can get healthy and get back on track, cause "stuff wise", he's great.
