I think ND gets things together and gets through their first round game and beats Illinois and then goes down. I'll have to look my bracket over and check all my upset picks, but I had quite a few. My final four was Oklohoma, Pitt, Arizona, and Maryland with Arizona winning it all. I have Uconn going pretty deep.

I'd love one of those guys. They are probably my two favorite 2nd baseman in the majors. Soriano is very impressive, but he has such high k's numbers, and plays such crappy defense. Castillo would be sweet. But I think he'd cost a ton. The thing is, we could dangle Willie Harris and someone else to land one, but, then you have to decide what to do with Jimenez/Manos. I really liked Jimenez at the top of the lineup, my only worry is he hasn't proved it.

Matt, those were some good stats. I never knew that about Osuna. I watched him a lot down here when he was with the Dodgers and when healthy he's pretty filthy, but so is Flash. Watched him a lot that year with the Cubs when he was healthy and wow was he impressive. Tons of k's, few hits, and most every game was routine for him. I'd say when healthy both of them are damn good, BUT, I'd almost say Osuna is more prone to injury then Flash, although you can't be counting on either of them.

I wonder what happens if Stewart ends up being the 5th to start the season as the Sox give Wright more time to get healthy. If Stewart all of a sudden pitched well, would they just shut him down and give him the operation? Stewart wasn't super impressive the one time I saw him pitch (stuff wise), but its tough to get guys out in Arizona and he throws strikes and is the type of guy that could make a quick adjustment to the majors.

He seems to be gaining confidence. Joe Randa - off the top of the wall for a double. Wind carried it. It was a curveball. Typically it was a fly ball. Wind is blowing way over 25 mph - straight out. Mike Sweeney - Grounds it to the second baseman and Miles throws him out. Two outs now. Randa advances to 3rd. Raul Ibanez - Grounds it out to 2nd and Miles takes it on a high hop and throws him out. One hit, no runs. 0-0 entering the Bottom of the 1st with the Sox due up. I'm heading out, be back in like 45 minutes and will get back to doing the updates.

Well, I was always a big Butter fan. He kind of reminded of me as a pitcher. Especially when he came up and got shelled, cause that would happen every game if I was pitching at the major league level, lol. Anyway, I do wish Jim the best. He pitched good and played with heart when he was here. For some reason I always liked him, even though his numbers weren't always great and at times he really struggled to go deep into games (Something I don't like out of any pitcher; they need to go deep, imo)

LDF, I remember ya bringing it up. I was hoping way back then that the Sox would be able to acquire Miguel. Now it looks like they will let him walk or trade him if they are out of contention at the deadline.

I believe it was a 1-year contract for $1M, with incentives that could have earned him another $500K. I don't remember for certain, though. damn, that is still short of what the twinks were offering. Ya, only by 500k though. I think it just got to the point that KW wasn't pleaed with Boras's offer and since the two sides (Mainly JR and Boras don't see eye to eye) nothing was going to get done.

Someone called this last November or December but nobody agreed with him. He started to believe the hype. I wonder who that could be or better said the things we mention about miguel not able to hit without the cork. where is that sassy girl when she needs to eat her words. hmmmm i wonder what is her name oh yeah hsc. As far as the pen goes Ginter will get his shot, it won't be to break camp as they'll give White a shot, but if a guy goes down from the right side Almonte and Ginter will be considered. I look for the Sox to move Ginter back to the rotation in AAA, and then build his stamina back up. He could be a backup plan for a starter as well. Remember, this guy absolutely dominated Charlotte like 2 years ago.

By the way Jim, It was real cool meeting ya. I wish you weren't busy so we could of kicked it a little longer. I thought it was real cool how things were going on. It was interesting watching all the drills the pitchers and position players did. I think I was there before the game play actually started. I can't say enough how much we appreciate this updates. They are awesome

Sorry It was a server update. They were just cleaning things up, making sure the server is running effecitively and updating it and such. I don't really know what all takes place but like every 3 months they do server updates, actually I think its more like every six months. These are the ones that leave a couple hours downtime. Overall though, we've had 99.99% up time since being with this server company which is sweet. I should of known about this ahead of time, had I looked on the server site so I could of forwarned ya. Thanks for the patience

What school in Fullerton? Im at Troy High School right now Cal State Fullerton. Is Troy located in Fullerton? I don't even know the area much. I just know Brea mall is like 5 minutse from there if you head West. Angel stadium is like 3 minutes East and my house is like 20 minutes away, lol. And there is an inn and out right by the Campus.

Well Hawkeyes did make the NIT and if anyones interested they play Villaneuva tonight at 6 pacific time.

Speaking of Former Sox. Bill Simas pitched a scoreless inning of relief for the Dodgers yesterday.

Why not go to the playoffs. Even if you lose at least you got there, its a lot closer to the Series then being out of the playoffs.
