  1. Miguel Olivo comes in. Dave Sanders comes in to pitch. -Mark Texierra gets out -Mike Lamb grounds it to short and Graffy makes the play and throws him out. -Ryan Christensen strikes out White Sox have the lowest ERA in Arizona. Sox win 4-0
  2. Now the inning is over. Graffy grounded out to 3rd.
  3. Your probably right, I'm judging it mainly on the couple times I saw him pitch where he sucked.
  4. Bottom of eight we go. That Schouse guy stays in Rangers make some defensive changes. -Daubach flies out to center -Armando Rios pinch hits and strikes out Rangers go to the pen and bring in a guy named Armando Garcia or something -Tony Graffanino grounds out to 3rd. To the top of the 9th we go, still 4-0 Sox.
  5. God its terrible how they are getting treated. I hope somehow some of them can make it out alive.
  6. Mike Porzio comes in to pitch the top of the eight. Porzio is 30 years old. He's 0-1 this spring with a 7.11 ERA this spring -Porzio strikes out Lance Nix -Hank Blalock hits it to center and Willie Harris makes the grab -Todd Greene strikes out This must be Porzio's first good outing. To the bottom of the eight we go.
  7. Bottom of the 7th Esteban Yan pitching his 2nd inning now -Jimenez Draws a walk -Manos flies out to left -Sandy Alomar pinch hits for Frank Thomas. Wild pitch and Jimenez advances to second. Alomar works the count full. Alomar draws the walk. Esteban Yan is missing the zone quite a bit. Now they are making a pitching change and the side-winder Bryan Shouse (Spelling?) comes in and will face Joe Borchard with two on and one out. -Joe Borchard hits into a doubleplay on the first pitch to end the inning. To the top of the eight, 4-0 Chicago
  8. Top of the 7th. Garland through 6 shutout giving up 6 hits walking four. Ginter will come in to pitch. The Sox scored 2 in the first, and 2 in the fourth. -Einar Diaz (1-2) hits it deep into the corner and Borchard made a nice play. Well it was about 330 feet down the line. One out -Jermaine Clark gets out -Someone else gets out Quick inning
  9. As of now they don't want to inconvience the Iraqi's. They want them to all know this war is for them. They don't want to turn of the power, etc. EMF bombs are very interesting though.
  10. Esteban Yan comes in to pitch in the bottom of the 6th. Thompson gave up 4 runs in 5 innings. -Crede gets out -Aaron Rowand gets out -Someone else gets out Zoned out in just a 7 pitch inning and didn't catch much any of it. To the top of the 7th we go. 4-0 Sox.

Ya, Alex does some of the programming to help us out. He built the calendar thing you see on the message board with all the dates and stuff on it.
  13. -Jimenez draws it to a 3-2 count but pops up to Jermaine Clark. -Manos lines a basehit to right center. (Jose is now 2-2 with two hits from the right side of the plate which is a good sign, considering Jose usually sucks from the right side) -Thomas (1-1 with an RBI double off the wall) strikes out and Manos is going and he steals 2nd. Thomas swung at ball 4. He did work an 0-2 count full though. Runner on 2nd with two outs. -Maggs gets out Still 2-0 Sox heading to the 4th. I'm gonna take a break, to get back to my homework. So if someone can cover for an inning or two it would be great.
  14. Would it be called BBC tv? I got digital cable, but don't really know what all the channels it comes with.

    Rauch

I think Olivo could be like a Pudge Rodriguez. In all honesty, I think Olivo will develop as a hitter the longer he's up here, but he'll be here because of that gun.
  16. How do you guys watch the BBC? Is it on digital cable or something? Or do you guys have dish?
  17. -Einar Diaz (another catcher I'd consider acquiring; for cheap of course)hits a base hit over Jose Valentin -Donnie Sadler hits a grounder through the hole for a basehit. Runners on 1st and 2nd with the top of the order coming up. 0 Outs -Diaz gets gunned down on 3rd when the leadoff hitter (Jermain Clark) takes a half hearted swing. It sounded like a botched hit and run. One down runner on first. Jermaine Clark draws a walk, so runners back on 1st and 2nd, this time one out -Nixs hits a chopper to 2nd and Jimenez tries to tag the runner and then Jimenez throws it to 1st. Then they catch the runner between first and 2nd in a rundown. The guy that was on 2nd tries to advance home and they gun him down. Inning over. Two hits, a couple odd plays, and no runs. 2-0 Sox entering the Bottom of the 3rd. Mentioned that Bo Jackson is a special spring training instructor for the White Sox and he was there today. John Wettland was there as well, but with Texas
  18. Bottom of 2nd -Crede lines out to 2nd -Rowand gets out somehow -Paul strikes out(I think it was Paul) To the top of the 3rd we go, still 2-0 Sox

    Rauch

Sounds like offensively he could be similar to Olivo, but defensively he's a bit below Olivo, whose one of the top defensive catching prospects in the minors. At least arm wise, he still has work on calling a game, but he's been taking huge steps in that regards.
  20. Thats probably right. I don't know what the Marlins bench looks like, but I'm sure they could carry 3 catchers. Well, Pittsburgh was going to waive Marte and we picked him up. I'm not saying we need to trade someone like Guerrier, but I do think the Sox could definately use a backup and this guy doesn't only sound like a backup, but he sounds like a potential starter. For catchers, there are so many journeyman types that have become very solid: Molina, Damian Miller, Robert Machado (Former Sox), even someone like Paul LoDuca. As long as they can call the game, play good defense, and hit decent they will get a shot. Its why I am happy with Olivo, even if he doesn't turn into a hitting machine, but I'd love to get this guy as well. Having a couple solid catchers is a great thing to have, especially if they have the ability to get better, but you always know they will be able to play defense.

Well getting Beckett is impossible. Burnett would be tough enough. Penny is probably the only one on that staff that you could acquire without giving up Rauch. Not that I wouldn't be willing to do that if they would listen. Getting Beckett would be like the Cubs trading Prior. Now if the Sox wanted someone, maybe near the deadline they could acquire Wood. Some don't think he's going to stick around.
  22. Jon Garland is pitching -Todd Greene flies out on the first pitch -Mark Textiera hits one deep and it bounces off the top of the fence in dead center for a double (It was a 0-2 curve). That was a shot, homer in any major league park. -Mike Lamb (don't know what he did, but he got out) -Christansen gets out 0 runs on 1 hit; Still 2-0 Good Guys Crede will leadoff in the bottom of the 2nd.
  23. Cal State Fullerton, but I live at home. Its like a 15 minute drive or so. Its not much of a dorm school, mainly commuter. Where do you go?
  24. oh ya, Maggs is going to be with the Sox a long time (I HOPE)
