  1. Borchard, Rauch, Paul, and some more are in the minors. Ginter, and a few others. I'll give the full list tomorrow once my midterms are over.
  2. I have always liked Mario's name of the Isotopes
  3. I think all those errors came in like a 5 day period. The baserunning really stunk during that stretch.
  4. Thats gonna take me some time to get used to. After all, he's the guy I like a whole lot if he can continue working on his hitting.
  5. Joltin Joe Dimaggio I got to say this whole psychology of sports stuff is rather interesting. I still wonder how many players use it. Was that guy that Cubs had a few years back a sports psychologist?
  6. Alright, the thread is now located on the off topic board and we'll now be doing this with the off-topic shows. Like we always say, if you guys/gals want things different or would like to see us add stuff, just make a post, email us or private message us and we'll do our best to get it done.
  7. Including yesterday, I work 12 out of the next 13 days. My only off-day is Monday. I wouldn't have it any other way. b****es I don't think I'm gonna be working at all next week. Its spring break and I've pretty much cleared my entire schedule to relaxing, watching baseball, going to the beach, and going up to Santa Barbara for a few days. Need to get my mind as far away from school as possible that week.
  8. Dang, I can't wait till Monday.
  9. Damn, I need in in this kind of league, maybe I could bat 1000 How bout you guys give Todd Hundley a call?
  10. Baggs, I think they currently have 3 open slots on the 40 man roster, but not positive on that.
  11. Do the Sox play one more game in Arizona and then go to Houston?
  12. Trust me Soxfest, they made some type of error, because Daubach is on the opening day roster.
  13. In all honesty, I don't think anyone knows until it happens. I think some in the White Sox believe its best to give Wright plenty of time, meaning send him to AAA and since we will only use the 5th guy once in the first month, we could go with Stewart for a start, then use him as the long guy out of the pen or to make any other starts and then when its done, Wright comes up; Stewart gets a little seasoning and knows exactly what he has to work on in AAA, and if he pitches light out, then thats just a good problem to have.
  14. Some of you may of thought when you saw the Sox purchased the contract that he was going elsewhere. They had to purchase Daubach's contract because he was signed to a minor league deal. He isn't going anywhere. I still think its ridiculous to carry 3 catchers.
  15. It has to be a trade or the fact that he'd rather have Harris, Hummel and Miles playing every day in AAA and he can live with sitting Paul on the bench doing nothing.

    Rauch

He was sent down because he isn't ready. He needed to pitch good in spring training and got shelled, so he still has more to work on.
  17. I think Buck is going to whip that Texas team into something good. If they can get any kind of pitching, they're going to be there in the West. I'm in agreeance with you Ian. Buck will do a good job down there. If they are healthy, they may just win the division, although I'm picking Seattle.
  18. Thats why they are only carrying 11 pitchers, instead of twelve. Also, they are at least going to open with a 5 man rotation the first week, then I think they will forget about it for a couple weeks, but who knows. Thats why I think Stewart should start while Wright gets some rest, its not like he'll be needed in full for about a month. Then Stewart goes down when ready and works in AAA and eventually makes it back up. By the way welcome aboard!!!
  19. I think that was part of his contract or something that he'd go in a Devil Ray. If I were him I'd be quickly finding a way out.
  20. when you become a media mogul, will you have room for me as the leader of focus groups in your empire?????? Lol, sure we will Vince.
  21. Yep, what Ian (Mr. Showtime) said. Hopefully before the season, but we don't have an exact date, so basically when the site is ready to our liking to roll. We don't want to put out a real temporary work in progress type thing. We want the site in very good shape once we do make the switch. We'll know a lot more in the next couple days as we see things progress.
  22. CW, don't worry, if in fact they go to the off topic board, then all shows off the topic of baseball would be there. We don't discriminate here at SoxNet/Soxtalk
  23. To be honest, Rios and Rowand are semi similar players. Maybe not in the way they play, but just in their situations. Rios had some potential, but never really got the opportunity and then Rowand is the same way. Neither are loaded with all the talent, but both do play hard and I can see both putting up very solid numbers. I think we'll see Rios and Daubach get more at bats then some expect, just because we'll Rowand time off on ocassions to bring in more lefty bats, etc. I love how deep the bench is. I hate having 3 catchers though.
  24. Damn, you and big hurt were quick to post that. Ditto what I said in the other thread, Frank better not be talking. For those that are able to watch it, can you give us the highlights of what is said. Thanks
  25. Ya, I know what you mean 420, I try hard to limit whats up there, with just articles and such.
